Someone on Fb just posted that they got a call from their dealer GM today who said that Adaptive Steering would not be selected for build at all anymore. Anyone seeing or hearing anything similar? What would they do with Limited trim where it’s standard? Hopefully not let my build sit in limbo forever.

I asked my dealer and did my best to interpret the production notes and it my conclusion is they are only producing King Ranches with adaptive steering. I have no idea why but it all points to that hypothesis. Anyone agree? I ordered a 350KRCCLB on 7-24 and got a production week of 9-13 on Thursday.

  2. Interesting thing…I just ordered my truck yesterday (F350 King Ranch). When I went to the dealer I had my mind made up about not getting the adaptive steering but the sales person talked me in to it saying I may be able to get Blue Cruise later on if the truck was equipped with adaptive steering. Anyone know if there is any truth to that?

  3. Hello all, I have been lurking around for awhile but this is my first post. Thanks in advance for all the information I have gotten from this forum. On to the question:

I just ordered a ‘22 F350 8’ crew King Ranch. I asked the dealer about the GVWR options for 11,400 and 10,000 and they did not know much about them. So I left it alone and the build came out with 12,400GVWR which I think is standard for the 6.7 diesel? Anyways, I tried to quote it with my auto insurance and they said no can do if GVWR is over 12,000. Has anyone ever encountered this? I have a lightweight conventional travel trailer now but hope to move up to a large/mid size 5er someday. Should I shop around for insurance willing to cover the GVWR or go to the 11,400gvwr option? BTW…..I am a commercial driver for the last 20yrs hauling fuel and have a class “A” but don’t want to need it for my personal rig. Any advice is greatly appreciated!
