You could always get lucky, but If this is your only plow truck, you  NEED a plan B. In all likelihood, you will not get this in time.  I've seen several postings that average lead time for a super duty is around 28 weeks.  I ordered 4/12, and am looking at a 9/17 build date, with a very real possibility it will be pushed back a couple more weeks due to the reduced production schedule the next couple weeks.  Even if by some miracle you get scheduled for production sometime in October, you are far enough away that it will probably go by rail, then truck to the dealer. The Bedliner will take several days extra even if there are no scheduling issues with it.

I wish you luck, but I think absolutely no way you will get this before it snows.

I don't miss the snow one bit!!

For people who have gotten the email saying you got a scheduled for production week (the email I got on 8/14 says my build week is 9/13) and have had your build week slip, how did you find that out? I called Ford marketing yesterday and they say they still show mine as 9/13 week but not a set day yet.

How much before your build week did you get an actual date? Also, did they send you an email about what your specific day that week would be? I've been using the tracker/spreadsheet on the Ford Trucks website and it's helped a ton but I can't pull up a window sticker yet.

Getting excited, all the trucks y'all have been getting look beautiful. With my current Silverado dropping value every month I am hoping my new 250 will show up early October!

What are they giving you for your Silverado?  They are offering me 18K for my Sierra....I think I may put it on the market before mine is built.

And another thing, am I the only one that logs in and checks 30 times a day to see if the status is changed

I too check 100 times a day waiting for my 9/13 build week to show production.  From what I have recently seen, they send to production about a week before actual build, maybe someone could correct me if I am wrong.  Congrats!

I was talking with a local dealership about ordering one at the beginning of August, they were saying 6/8 weeks order to delivery. Couple my friends that work at the plant said no way that timeline was correct, ending up not ordering one.

Took our daughter to college August 14th and found a new 2022 King Ranch setting on the lot... the exact color I was planning to order (only thing missing from my build sheet was cab marker lights) got it just under MSRP.

NICE! (your floor mat is dirty!).  4 more weeks for me!

If you are only two weeks out from your build you may have a build day  assigned and they may not be able to make any changes

I have a build week (9/13) but not a build day.  I'm not worried over it too much as it is just a "want" vs. "need" if I ever decide to go the slide in camper route. Right now this F250 w/6.7 should be well equipped for my needs.  Thanks!

Unfortunately, a lot of dealers either aren't willing to, or don't know how.   But, it can be done.  From what I've seen, until you have a build DAY you can make changes.

Well, evidently they're not willing to add it two weeks prior to my build.  They said they would see what the cost of adding those through the service department would be (which would cost tons $$ more)!

I have the spray in bed liner(black appearance package) and it was built yesterday.  I ordered 6/21.  I also changed/added options after I had a VIN and scheduled build week.  It did push the build back 2 weeks though.

I tried last week to add the Camper Package (auxiliary springs, rear stabilizer bar) after I too received a VIN and build date.  The dealer told me no changes can be made once the VIN is assigned.

Over on Ford-Trucks, the spread sheet of builds shows a bunch of Plati's scheduled to be built end of August into September.   The 8/27 build date falls into the 8/23 build week and there are a bunch that week getting built, per the spreadsheet (Not just platinum's, also Lariat's, KR's, XL's, etc).  They have already finished scheduling for the week of 8/23 as this Thursday tentatively planning to schedule for the week of 9/13.

I received my email from Ford last week (8/12) saying my 22MY build is week of 9/13, yet looking at that spreadsheet, it says those scheduled week of 8/9 has build of 9/6. So is my XLT built the week of 9/6 or 9/13 ...confusing.  But either way I have the patience. ?

About to order an XLT with the Black pkg,  From my understanding, it follows the same blackout features as the Lariat, minues LED headlights and fog lights.  Those will be Halogen.  Wheels will be the exact same thing as the Lariat.

I am going to have to re-visit my dealer (again after several order changes).  They told me, on my first build, that the black-out package was not available for the 22MY XLT.

Went to the dealer today and ordered my F250 Lariat, 4x4, CC, Star White, Ultimate and Chrome package. The dealer knew all about the COVP. Entered my info while sitting there. Will see how the communication goes over the next few months, but so far I'm happy with the process.  Should be a nice Christmas present! ? Thank you everyone on here for all the information. It made my options choices easier with all the information and ideas on here. For now I'll keep dreaming of my truck watching everyone get their truck.

Star White is a great color.  I ordered mine last week in Carbonized Grey (fits me well!) with the FX4 package and other stuff (6.7). The dealer told me to expect build around Halloween. Fingers crossed!

Question. If I ordered a 250 and wanted to now change it to a 350 would they have to cancel out my current order and replace it ? I do not have a scheduled production date or vin yet.

I ordered my 250 last week and stopped at my dealer yesterday (they had some 350's) and he told me they cannot sell any of the F350 MY22's because of a recall and it wasn't chip related..... he could not give me an explanation of the recall and recommended I keep my Ford order.
