I do have a question for those the have already received their trucks......Upon pick-up from Dealer.....Were all of the Fluids topped Off?

(ie) Full Tank of Fuel? 34gals for SB or 48gals for LB?     Full Tank of DEF? etc

Yep.  All were full.  Picked up the truck March 3.

Can anyone confirm that our new trucks do not come with the reduced sleeve? My dealership said that Ford has discontinued these? If so I’m looking for the best reducer? If there is such one, didn’t like 2017 sleeve, will need to upgrade the hitch’s, more money gone.

    m

My 2017 had 2.5"-->2" reducer. My 2022 has 2.5" receiver and no reducer.

My Lariat with bench seat is going to be delivered in the next couple weeks. I've wondered what things look like on the dash below the stereo without the console and behind the middle seat. Would you mind posting a picture of those two areas?

I hope these are these are the pictures you want to see.  If not, let me know and I'll try to be better.  One is of the area directly under the Sync 4 and climate controls.  One is with the center console positioned upright in the seating position.  You didn't request that but thought it would be useful to you.  The third is looking through the console from the rear middle seat.

I received the coveted "shipped" email from Ford this morning.  Since it takes a few weeks to get vehicle delivery from Kentucky to New Mexico, I'll go ahead and provide my timeline.

Vehicle: F250, 6.7, Lariat Value Package Baja, CCSB, Stone Gray. Additional options: FX4, extended running boards, rapid heat supplemental heater, block heater, camper pkg, UTT, rain sensing wipers, upfitters.  Initial order also had bedliner, 5th wheel prep, and gooseneck hitch.

    11/01/21: Initial order.

    11/12/21: Ford email confirming order.

12/03/21: Revised order to drop bedliner, 5th wheel prep, and gooseneck. Arranged for dealer to install after delivery.

12/09/21: Ford email scheduling build for week of January 31, 2022.

01/25/22: Cyberdman provided Scheduled to Day of 02/02/22.

    01/26/22: Window sticker became available.

    02/05/22: Ford email built notification.

    02/10/22: Ford email shipped notification.

Estimated delivery is March 2 - March 8.

I can finish my timeline now:

02/22/22: Truck arrived at destination railyard (ABQ)

    02/25/22: Truck arrived at dealer

03/03/22: I picked up the truck from the dealer.  Dealer had to install BW Gooseneck Hitch and spray-in bedliner.

Lots of stories out there about how dealers are handling price increases, personal cash offers (PCO), etc., so will share my experience.  When I met with the finance manager when I picked up the truck, two things were not correct: my PCO was not applied and the base price was approx. $1,200 higher than it should have been.  I used X Plan for pricing. The PCO "expired" January 3. I pointed out the I ordered the truck before then so it should still be valid.  Long story short on the price increase, price protection was not applied from the December 2021 price increase.  The finance manager readily agreed to correct both issues.  There was no pushback nor any sign of reticence to fix them. He sent me home with the truck while he corrected the issues.  He corrected them and this morning we finalized the purchase.  Everything was to the penny of what it should have been.  I will not judge why the errors initially occurred.  I will say the volume of custom retail orders and the length of time to build vehicles is a new experience for customers and dealership employees alike.  I feel like the dealership did not intentionally overcharge me as eagerly as they wanted to correct the issues and they did.  This dealership is Chalmers Ford in Rio Rancho, NM and I would highly recomment them.  That being said, when you purchase a vehicle, you are transacting business is as pure a capitalist market as you will find in this age. You have to educate yourself thoroughly before purchasing!  Thanks to this forum, I was informed and ready to conduct a good/fair purchase.

Tom congratulations on your truck. Your truck was built 4 days before mine and shipped out to NM and Ford can’t get my truck shipped out for a 1-1/2 hour drive?

Something on my truck has to be wrong, as Captain Dave said check the trucks over. I’ll be checking every inch of this truck when it finally arrives, and before signing off on it.

If anyone gets their SD’s and built around 2/9, please post them, I’m trying to be positive but they said to be delivered week of 2/14.

Sorry to hear about your delay.  Hopefully it's not something wrong with the truck itself.  Feels more likely it is a shipping issue.  Driver shortages?  The People's Convoy currently underway?  Don't know.  Sure hope whatever is holding up yours and others resolves quickly.

I created an account on Ford.com and placed an order through a dealer.  When I log in to my account, there is a tab for reservations and orders.  Mine does not show up there.  Does anyone know how I can link my confirmed order to my Ford.com account?

I have an account too and have had it for a few years.  Not sure what that tab is for, but I've had two orders and neither ever showed up in it.

That's crazy fast. Mine has been sitting in the railyard since 2/6/22 waiting for the 2 hour transport to the dealer.

Ugh.  Sorry to hear.  Yeah, this even caught the dealership off guard.  Salesperson called me to basically apologize for not being able to get the PDI done as soon as it came it in this morning.  They're understaffed due to omicron and were expecting it next week.  No big deal at all since they need to do the hitch and bedliner.

Just found out my truck arrived in the Albuquerque railyard Tuesday afternoon (Feb. 22).  Now for that 30 minute ride to my dealer...

I'll post this info under this topic too, my truck arrived at the dealership this morning, so that seems to be pretty quick from what others have experienced.  Still a few days to wait - dealer needs to install gooseneck hitch and spray-in bedliner.

The wait is nearly complete.  The truck arrived at the dealership this morning.  They need to install the gooseneck hitch and spray-in bedliner so it will be a couple more days yet.  For those interested in railyard-to-dealer time, it arrived at the railyard the evening of Feb. 22.  Pretty fast delivery to the dealership from what I've heard from others.

  10. For those looking to use financing to help purchase their trucks, I use 2 credit unions that still offer sub 2% auto loans. Great Lakes Credit Union in Illinois (as low as 1.74% up to 60 months) and Sandia Area Federal Credit Union in Albquerque (1.79% up to 36 months).  Of course one of the things about credit unions is you have to meet their eligibility criteria to join them which can be pretty narrrowly focused.  However both of these seem to have some broad criteria. GLCU is open to federal employees and relatives as well active military and relatives in addition to more locally focused groups.  Sandia Area has a very interesting criteria in addition to more locally focused groups that I'll quote, "Persons who subscribe to the permaculture ethics, consisting of the following principles: care of the earth, care of people, and reinvesting surplus for the benefit of earth and people."  Not sure how to meet that to their satisfaction but seems pretty darn broad to me.  Anyway, just wanted to share for those folks wanting/needing to use financing as part of their purchase package.

  11. Everything everyone else is saying here plus called Ford Marketing to request brochures for Super Duty, Maverick, and Bronco. Received mine in Sept. Dealer locked it into my current F250 order due to be delivered 1st week of March. Funny thing is I never received any brochures. Got what I really wanted though...the PCO. Mine came in email. $2,500.

  13. I had a 2017 XLT F250. I used Sirius radio a good bit. When starting the truck, if I cycled the ignition key quickly to start, the radio would bring up FM rather than the Sirius station I was listening to when I last turned off the truck. If I paused the ignition key for a moment in the on position before starting the truck, the Sirius station I was last listening to would be on the radio. I have a 2019 Escape that does this too.
