I thought of something else too because I also have the vault on my order, you may have difficulty getting a plastic tray into the box and if it does fit in it will probably have wasted space around it. I was considering not putting the vault on my order and installing it myself. I watched a video on it and I think the last step to installing it is the top frame and door. If you wanted a tight fitting organizer tray on the bottom, you could take off the top of the vault to put in a bigger tray but you'd have to do that again to remove it.
I have the factory vault in my King Ranch. There is a surprisingly amount of room both in the vault as well as between the top of the vault and the console cover.

The information already available provides all the information necessary to inform the Dealer that you are aware of Ford's longstanding price protection policy. I am NOT posting the actual Ford price increase announcement documents, including the price protection terms, that are prominently provided at the FMCDealer.com communications portal for Dealers. Price protection is a process that is technically between the Dealer and Ford. The subject of a Dealer refusing to honor Ford's price protection policy for retail customer orders is a matter between the customer and its Dealer, subject to a properly executed sales agreement specifying the terms and conditions.
Thanks for the information!

Ford shouldn't have to notify customers about the price protection policy. It's been in place for decades and is a simple accounting adjustment between the Dealer and Ford. Any Dealer that claims ignorance about the price protection policy doesn't deserve to be in the business and is just lying to their customer. And there's no reason for any delay in delivering a customer's retail factory order as the price protection adjustment process between the Dealer and Ford is simple and straightforward.
Ice-capades I’ve tried to find the Price Protection Documents, but I’ve haven’t found them.
Can you please post? Also, I ordered a Lariat in August and switched to King Ranch in December. I assume I’m only protected from the December change going forward? I got another price increase since December when I switched but now the dealer says my price is based on the more recent price. Thanks for any help you may offer!!! I’m supposed to pick up my truck later this week. Thanks again!

Order number is meaningless. Dealers use it to track their orders. Some use it to identify the salesperson. It’s not unique and Ford doesn’t use it.Mmmmmm. When I called Ford Marketing to see was about any updates , they asked for the Order Number and Dealer Sales Code.

King Ranch is a new order so yes.akirby, does this apply even if I have the same Order Number? My Order Number remained the same from the Lariat to King Ranch.
Thanks!!

Price protection is between Ford and the dealer and just means the dealer doesn’t have an excuse for raising your price.
There is no way Ford will lower dealer invoice prices soon but even if they did, that’s between the dealer and Ford.
Failing to negotiate a firm price in writing when you order puts you at the mercy of the dealer. Too many of you assumed that you were getting MSRP.
If I had an agreed price on a Lariat in August when I ordered and switched to a King Ranch in December am I only protected from the point I switched to King Ranch? My dealer is offering the deal at List.
Thanks,

Thanks

I ordered an F-250 Lariat on Jan. 5th and last week I received an email from Ford saying that they are sorry but they have no idea when my truck will be scheduled for production. I have no idea if the dealer (Capital Ford in Charlotte) has the allocation, or even if this matters on retail customer orders. In any event, I am pretty frustrated with the situation. I asked my dealer if certain options could be slowing the process and he said that he was aware of any.
Ford email:
Thanks again for placing your 2022 Super Duty F-250 Lariat order. While we’ve been busy working to get your new vehicle into production, we’ve run into a few delays.
Sometimes certain features or options can lengthen the time before a vehicle is scheduled for production.
We know there’s a lot of anticipation when it comes to getting into a new vehicle, so we’ll make sure to keep you updated. Once your vehicle is ready to move into the production schedule, you’ll be hearing from us again. My build:
F-250 Lariat
crew Cab
6 3/4'’ bed
Bucket seats/console
camper package
front and rear wheel well liners
spray in bed liner
4.3 axle ratio
7.3 gas engine
Carbonized Grey color
Black Onyx interior color
4x4
bed step
I got the same email. Yesterday I got my VIN.

Dealers put in orders and set priority. That’s the order bank. Once a week Ford goes through and selects the vehicles to build in the next cycle which is usually a few weeks out, If a dealer has 2 allocations that period Ford selects the ones with the numerically lowest priority that are buildable. If parts aren’t available for your truck it gets skipped even if it’s first in line.Just got my VIN today!!!

Has your dealer advised if your order is previewing, which is an indication you order is being considered. My dealer advised me that it was previewing last Tuesday, before it was finally scheduled on the Thursday.
Oddly enough, I got my VIN about an hour ago.It will be just over 9 months from when I ordered! -

You will find lots of posts outlining the order to delivery process, on this and other forums. Here are a couple of relevant links on this and the FTE forum.
https://blueovalforums.com/forums/index.php?/topic/63667-ford-vehicle-ordering-scheduling-process/
Your dealer submits your order and Ford Corporate confirms the order. If your dealer correctly entered your email, you should receive a confirmation. If not, you can verify with Ford Marketing. It does not require any action from the dealer's regional manager. If it is a COVP retail order it does not require dealer allocations to be scheduled, as the dealer receives incremental allocations.
If your order is many months unscheduled, the dealer can contact their Regional Manager to request it be given priority 2, which would enhance the probability of being scheduled, but you also have to realise that many thousands of orders are priority 2. My F-450 was priority 2 for 4-months before I was scheduled.
I have been priority 02 since December 9th My order is a COVP. I received my email conformation on August 11th. Like many others, I'm just frustrated. I've been waiting going on 8 months and have idea if this will ever get built. I'm supposed to be on the top of the list of their orders (of over 75).

Why not just play the music from Apple CarPlay? If you have Verizon and depending on the plan, you can download tons of music for free. I have tons of Pink Floyd! Also, many old Beach Boys, Dave Clark Five, The Turtles to name a few on 8-track!
