  1. Sorry to dredge up an old topic, but after taking my truck around town and on a couple of multi-hour highway trips, I’ve got a question.

When the system is engaged and starts slowing me down, can I tell if it’s braking or just letting up on the throttle?  I can tell when it’s braking for a more dramatic slowdown, and I presume the brake lights are illuminating.  I would hate to get rear-ended because someone following (too closely) didn’t notice my slowing without the brake lights coming on.

BTW, I really LOVE the Adaptive Cruise!

  2. Platinum F-350 CCSB SRW 6.7 FX4

I need to subtract the Retrax tonneau cover and the other “stuff” from my ~3,400 payload to see what I have available. And when towing the camper, the WDH weight and tongue weight for the “real” number.

I googled car haulers serving my closest ramp (East Brookfield, MA).  Diversified was one and United Road was another.  Diversified didn’t really have a tracking option but United Road did so I plugged in my VIN and it popped up.  The rest is history.

    Hi Bulldog,

I plugged my VIN into the United Road page and saw it, a load number, and the correct dealer destination.  Have you any insight regarding getting more data? I am presuming my truck is still underway between KY and Petersburg, VA.

     Thanks,

    Joe

  4. Mine went into production on Monday 3/21, and I have heard nothing since.  I contacted my salesman and from the VVR, it said: “Shows produced. Has not been released or assigned to a rail car yet. Does show a eta of 4/01-4/07“

I hope the ETA holds true.  Has anyone else not seen a tracker update since Monday?  Mine still shows In Production with the date. Nothing for Built.

Is anyone getting a Platinum trim built or scheduled? The only platinums I’ve seen have been pushed back a bunch of times

Hi Art.  I ordered my Platinum in October. It was first scheduled 13 January for a 14 February build week. I’m was pushed to the right a couple of times and is now “In Production” and “Sent to Plant” with a build day of Monday 21 March.  F350 6.7 CC SB with moonroof, wheel well liners, mud flaps, and a bed step. No bedliner, Adaptive Steering, or 5th Wheel Prep (the latter two removed before Thanksgiving.

Things of no price protection, not printing x plan price and saying the build sheet does not print x plan pricing on it (when it does, along with the other plans) and then stating priority 2 makes me slower in the system with Ford.

My salesman was going through and confirming my 240 price level (what was in effect when I ordered in October), reconfirmed my $3,000 PCO and X-Plan, and gave me the website to register for the $500 Military Appreciation bonus (www.fordsalutesthosewhoserve.com).

I hope you can work with your salesman (and dealership management if necessary) so you get what you are entitled to.

Does anyone know if you have a “scheduled build to day” if that can still change and we can get a delay email this week? Lol. Didn’t know if once you have a day, you’re locked in so to speak. I mean I’m sure we can get pushed back at anytime but wondering if it’s common or not. Truck is scheduled to get built next week.

I got a 26 March build to day from Cyberdman a bit ago.  I stopped at my dealer to share with my salesman that I am “In Production” and asked him to pull a VVR. He did, and it shows that I’m scheduled to day 21 March! It’s going in the right direction! He seemed to think that now it’s in production and “Sent to Plant” (as of yesterday) that it will likely not be changing again.  He was also able to print for me my window sticker. Which still isn’t showing up on the Ford tracking page.

My suggestion (echoed here by many) is to work with your salesman/dealer. We had a wonderful conversation and he started looking for any other discounts I might be eligible for.

Joe, how did you get the production day if no email?  I too have a build week of 3/21 but the tracker has no update, doesn't show as in production and I have no update emails or new delays.  My signature below has all my order date and subsequent delays. Did you ask cyberdman for details?  Thanks in advance.

    Yes, I asked Cyberdman.

Don’t expect compensation in this current market. Say you order an f150 platinum and it has been sitting waiting for chips. Ford ships to your dealer but you refuse delivery since you want compensated for not having those features at delivery. Dealer in turn adds ADM and sells to the next guy who walks in the door telling him “in a couple months we will issue a ‘recall’ to bring it in and add the electronic modules to enable XYZ.

Based on various comments it seems the massage/multi adjustment seat controls are a big hold up, RES across multiple suppliers too. I think GM had shortages for one of their fuel efficiency systems even (either cylinder deactivation or the electric air flaps in the grill).

I won’t refuse delivery on my F350. I have too much to lose:  a $3,000 PCO, a $500 military cash back, and an X-Plan agreement price protected to October 2021.  I will accept a couple of oil/filter changes to start with. And will negotiate for more depending on how long it takes to make the truck whole.
