Yeah, oddly enough it’s been this way since the last price climb a few years back.
Well, that didn’t take long. As of today regular is $4.99, diesel $5.99.

I asked my dealer to add upfitter switches to my F350 order and told them to make any other changes necessary, ie dual battery or alternator upgrade. It's been a week and they haven't said anything, I figure if it has dual batteries then I'll simply have more piece of mind should one battery go before the other. I do like the idea of building redundant systems.
My 06 250 has duel batteries but I don’t think I would consider them redundant. While it has to provide more available power, in that system I wouldn’t use battery power for much of anything with the engine not running. Personal experience has taught me the draw to start the truck combined with the potential for FICM damage via low voltage is just not worth risking,
Also, when one battery goes south, it is highly recommended that both are replaced at the same time.
Maybe the system is better on the new trucks.

Hmmmm……that wouldn’t be bad. Thanks for posting it up.

Was contacted by my dealer yesterday asking if I wanted to remove the 5th wheel prep. My reply was since the Limited comes standard with Adaptive Steering, would it really make a difference in build time??
Anyone have any experience with a Limited and prep removal - was there “quick” move the production?

As I wait for my 2022 to eventually get built, I think about creature features these trucks should have. Top of my list is a heads up display. I have it on one of our cars now and will miss it when I get the truck.
Any scuttlebutt about HUD being added? - heck if there’s a chance it would be available on the 2023s I could be convinced to wait…

I installed these in my ‘06 - excellent color match and perforated are available.

“ I wasn't trying to call out anyone specific, other than the specific example I gave about e-mails -- and I don't even remember who that was. This was nothing personal. Just a suggestion to make the community a little better.”
This may have been me. Though I’m new to this forum, I am certainly not new to Ford or the order process.
I have ordered 8 vehicles from Ford. In the case of 5, I received a confirmation almost immediately. Two more, the email address was, in fact, not input when ordered - I got that corrected and receive emails from that point forward. The last order was not input for several days - and only corrected when I contacted the dealership.
So, it would seem based on experience, that indeed, if the email is input, one received confirmations. Not sure how one would take that in any different manner?
But, to your original point, it appears it falls back to who is making the determination of what is true/false/ misinformation?
And I don’t disagree that misinformation needs to be corrected - I would submit the forum members do a good job of it already.

Yes it is! I was able to test drive a 2019. That was amazing - I think the 2022 will be even more so!

I’m coming from a 2006 F250 with the 6.0l diesel. It was a rollercoaster for a while until I figured out how to take care of it in order to minimize issues. I ended up with a routine of regular oil changes and fuel filter replacements. Every time I changed the fuel filters, I changed the screen on the IPR valve and tested the ICP sensor. Always kept the scan gage showing FICM volts, oil and coolant temp and IPR percentage, kept an eye on the batteries and changed out both when one went bad, etc, etc, etc. Taking care in this manner has gotten me 265,000 miles of mostly trouble free use - 1 egr cooler and oil cooler replacement, stock heads without issue. It’ been a pretty good truck.
Moving to the 6.7, I’m guessing it’s been around long enough - what are the idiosyncrasies I need to be aware of and plan for?
TIA

That’s really sharp - I think you just cost me money! Though I’m still not sure if I’ll be going with a bed liner or bed rug with mat since I plan on a roll back cover…..decisions, decisions. See, there is a silver lining to having to wait for our trucks.

I originally was going to go Antimatter but ended up going Rapid Red. Was worried the Antimatter would show blemishes more. To be honest, I really like the color lineup, from the pics posted in the forum it’s almost like you can’t go wrong.

I guess we’ll see….
I had originally priced a Lariat Ultimate with a local dealer, was made aware of
pricing via Granger Ford and I can get the Limited for pretty much the same price as the optioned up Lariat I was already prepared to buy.
Since this will be our retirement truck, pulling a 16k 5er, I felt the investment in comfort was worth it.
Now the waiting game….time will tell if we get the ‘22 or get bumped to ‘23 and start
over!

New to this forum, really appreciate Ford team member input and insight!
With some of the low supply the commodity items as “Standard” equipment in the Limited trim level, are they just not going to be selected for scheduling?
Anyone have recent experience and if so what was your order date and scheduling date?
Thanks!
