Thanks for the build details man, that's a nice bed setup, when you fill up that tank you will be cussing someone but I won't say who, gets me in trouble with the moderators, lol.  I think I will do a mat too since couldn't get spray in liner at KTP but I'll decide after I take ownership in a few weeks.  So is 28% what it allows to pass?  I thought 28% is super dark, if that is the case, isn't it hard to see at night?  I'm thinking I'll go with 35% light pass.  I drove my 2017 with no front window tint, kind of feels like your driving with no clothes on, haha.  Everyone else, even the cops have super dark tint and can't even tell if someone is driving or not.

your correct the lower the number the darker the tint 35 is very light, my last truck had 20% it’s too dark for me, 28 is a happy medium for me. The picture was at night so it appears darker. I chose a mat because I know the aluminum bed won’t be as durable as a steel one. Plus stuff doesn’t slide around . I might spray the bed. I have a trip planned in 2 weeks so just enough time to break her in!!

Congrats Fzappa1, nice ride for hauling a big ass trailer.  What percent is your front tint and was that done at dealer or custom installer?

What does your overall build sheet look like, trim, model, options etc?

Ceramic 28% I’m not a kid anymore! Lol a local tint shop did the work. Yes I have a big ass trailer!  40 ft fifth wheel. She’s a lariat, 4x4 diesel, 3.55 limited slip. Safe, value pack, fifth wheel prep, upfitter switch, tailgate step, 2 tone iconic silver and carbonized grey, 3rd brake camera, a pretty simple built. I already made a custom fuel tank 55 gallon it’s lifted off the bed 4” so I can fit plywood or 4x4 and close the tailgate!  Bed mat etc.

UPDATE: I picked up my truck last week.  With all the talk about the bad dealers not honoring the price protection I was a little worried.  I have to say my dealer was great!  He told me about the price protection (two increases since I ordered) and gave me the price at time of order.  He honored my X-Plan price.  He gave me my PCO that expired Jan 1.  They also filled it up with gas.  Thats a big one right now!  LOL  There are still honest and good dealerships out there.  Thanks to Dorrance Ford in Galesburg MI!  GREAT JOB!

That’s awesome!!! Hopefully my truck gets delivered soon, my build date was the same as yours, I also have the fifth wheel prep and safe.  Mine is coming by rail….

A quick question on the production process.  I have a date (21 March) under In Production on the tracker. I know it needs to go across the street for mud flaps, wheel well liners, and the bed step.  Does that happen before or after I see a date under Built on my tracker?
    Thanks,

    Joe

From what I've heard and understand it shows "built" when ford is done with their part.  Mine showed built while it was waiting to have the fifth wheel prep installed(approx. 1 week).  It makes no since to me why they would call it built when it's not finished.   I could be wrong I'm learning as I go with this whole ordering, building and shipping process.

The latest update from Ford, My original est. delivery date was 3/18-3/24 I just got off the phone my new est. delivery date is 4/3...... i think they have issues they're not telling me.  But they did say they do not see a chip hold but could not verify if anything else was holding it up....

Oddly enough my dealer hinted at the same thing last week. First I heard of it and now I'm seeing that quite a bit in the posts. He thought they would ship them without chips to speed up the back log. Regardless, I can wait. I just want it done right. Would love to have it to finish off turkey season but I'd rather wait. I have learned a whole new meaning of the word patience.

I was told the same thing over a week ago, my truck showed shipped but actually was sitting in a lot.  I’m hoping it’s actually shipped

My dealer has 5th wheel prep on all 3 SD's that are built and being shipped. He also had 24 trucks scheduled last week, with mine and a number of others also having the 5th wheel prep.

That’s good news, mine was built and showed shipped 2 weeks ago, the dealer looked at the VVR last week and the truck was still sitting in Kentucky, I e mailed them today to see if there’s any updates, I’m still waiting to hear back.

  10. Just curious, has anyone actually had their truck shipped lately?  Not just on the tracker but actually shipped,  rail car number, showed up at the train depot near your dealership , arrived at the dealer?  I asked because mine showed shipped on the tracker but after my dealer showed me the VVR yesterday my truck is still sitting at the rail yard in Kentucky.  The tracker showed shipped on 3/4. 10 days at the railyard in Kentucky with no movement!  Thanks
