If you qualify for X-Plan Pricing, and can find a Dealer that will ACCEPT X-Plan Pricing, then you would be getting a better deal than ordering thru Granger Ford.

X-Plan Pricing is VERY close to "Dealer Invoice"

Join Mustang Club of America or EAA or other Ford "Partners" to get a X-Plan PIN.....Then go see your Dealer to see if they will accept it.

Waiting period is typically 90 Days......It will take at least that long for Ford to Schedule and Build your Super Duty.

Long macarthur ford kansas will do xplan got two mavericks on order thru them very honest dealer will give $1k towards shipping if finance thru them not sure what or if there rates are competitive

Our 2012 F150 6.2l v8 had 3.73 gears for max-tow.  Would normally get 12mpg around town, 16-ish mpg highway, and 9mpg towing our 8500lb travel trailer.

    Your F250 6.2l isn’t doing bad, considering it’s easily 1k pounds heavier than our 6250lb F150.

That said, hoping our 7400lb Platti Tremor makes our TT tow like it’s not there, and hoping for 8mpg towing.  Also, rpm’s between 6.2l with 3.73 gears and 6-speed, and 7.3l with 4.3 gears and 10-speed are very similar on the highway.

Im not complaining it tows great ive had 12k plus behind it and feels like nothing compared to my f150 with 8k behind it. Definitely worth the loss of mpg

Drove our 2012 F150 max-tow with 6.2l v8 down to get new truck, got 17.2mpg.

New truck, 7.3l v8 got 14.3mpg on return trip…not unhappy with that being a brand new truck.

I got 2022 f250 with 6.2 gas and im averaging around that with combination towing and empty local and highway. Just rolled over 10k miles so assuming not getting any better but didnt buy fot mpg

Window Sticker (WS) became available today for build date on Monday, July 25.  No changes made to original order and WS correctly reflects build sheet.

F-250 CC SRW 7.3 Carbonized Grey, Lariat, Lariat Ultimate, BAP, 3.55, Upfitter, Rain-sensing (heated steering wheel), FX4

Ordered 12-15-21 (No Email confirmation from Ford)

Build email 6-23-22 (First Email from Ford)

    Stated build date 7-25-22

Ordered through a larger dealer out of state, assuming vehicle would be built a little quicker.  Don't know if my plan will have worked  but haven't minded (too much) waiting for a vehicle that I'd like vs. settling for what's available on dealer lots.  Knowing the signed build sheet is "price protected" (PL245) and WS MSRP reflects pricing at time of build has been very helpful "intel".  Thanks to the forum and participants!!

Since this is my first purchase as an out of state buyer (I don't have a sales tax in my state), what can I expect in the way of registration fees?  I know I there won't be a sales tax for the purchase, but do other states charge a temporary registration fee at the time of purchase?

Would appreciate any information on how "out of state" vehicle registration is handled.  My paperwork for the order indicates $100 and the dealership is in Idaho.

    Thanks for the help.

I live in Illinois and purchased in Kentucky dealer took care of all paperwork but my wonderful state drug there feet like they do withveverythong so i was forced to go to dmv to get a temp plate until new plate came.. At time of purchase Kentucky dealercdid give me a 30 day temp plate. No extra fees and they were great about staying on Illinois dmv to get my permanent plates and registration.

    2022 F-250 SRW 4x4 SuperCab

    VIN #1FT7X2B6XNEE51163

The Window Sticker shows it as Order Type 2 (Stock). The Ford Invoice system is down so I can't access the invoice to see if it was reinvoiced. The Window Stickers are created using the Order Type and Price Level in effect at the time the vehicle was produced but I don't remember whether Ford generated a new Window Sticker when a fleet order was reinvoiced to a stock order type.

i was just curious couldnt be happier with truck and deal, and not having to deal with the original dealer i ordered thru who was playing games with xplan after i ordered it, cancelled that one , dont think it would ever gotten built as according to sales manager theyve only gotten one superduty built since april and they are a large dealer. dont know if thats true maybe ford put them in penalty box due to bad reviews.thanks again ive learned so much from reading all your posts

FYI... If it was originally ordered as a fleet unit, the Dealer would have had to have had the vehicle reinvoiced as a "stock" unit in order to sell it to a non-fleet, retail customer. The reinvoicing removed all the fleet incentives, etc.

unsure what happened , but i put deposit right away and when i went to pick it up another salesamn was telling me they were suppose to mark it up but i put deposit down before they were able to, and so they honored price but window sticker never changed still says 5c on it and im not a fleet customer. f250 supercab fx4 3.73 locking axle platform boards xl value pkg heavy duty alt upfitter switches, sticker 45100 was able to use pco on top of that

The order number is included on every Window Sticker and included in the "Item #" section.

For the example below the "13-R488 O/T A" information decodes as follows:

    • 13 = Ford Region Number
    • R488 = Order Number (4 Digits - Numeric or Alpha-Numeric)
    • O/T = Order Type
    • A = A Plan
      • X = Plan
      • 1 = Retail
      • 2 = Stock
      • B = Demo
      • 5B = Fleet

    3FTTW8F91NRA55127_WS.jpg

quick question what would 5c mean

The same can be said that sunroofs won't leak if installed properly.  I passed on that option too.

Agree on sunroofs had 89 f150 sunroof leaked for years same with 95 tbird after those two never again.. I have installed 3-4 sets of cab lights never had issue with leaking but take my time doing it right for that reason.

So can someone verify a rough order of magnitude cost to add these after the fact? Also does Ford have an actual procedure or is it left the the dealers to butcher as they see fit ? I wish I had them but as always would be concerned about adding after the fact.

i just added to my 2022 f250 took about 2 hours there is a plug at the ottom of the passenger side a pillar with a dummy end which is made for the clearance lights harness to hook into, so no cutting into factory wiring, i went with a set i put on 6 years ago  on other truck and have never had a leak or light issue with, plus they are the old style not the new ones ive seen . total cost harness and lights under $50. about 8 bolts to remove( 2 for each a pillar , 2 for each visor) 1 speaker plugs in each a pillar and plug by rearview mirror, make sure double check placement before drilling holes. can send pics of what they look like if wanted

  11. Well my time here is up i lucked out and found f250 fx4. 6 rs away more loaded than one i have on order for cheaper than xplan. Dont know if mix up orwhat but bought it today 45600 out the door. Want to thank ice cyberdman and akirby for all the info that made the 6 month wait tolerable you guys really make a difference dealing with all the bs from dealers

I would like to know how many of us have had their dealer actually reach out to them with updates, even if it is just a simple "no movement yet, just letting you know we are still here and doing what we can to move things along."  I ordered 1/19 and have not EVER received a call from my dealer with an update.  I have reached out to them about 4 times asking for either an update, or deleting items from my build to move it along.

My dealer is in a small town of about 6000 people, maybe has 4-6 Superdutys on their lot at any given time prior to 2020.  You would think a phone call to their customers with a short update even once a month would be nice.  I would love to help educate them about how to handle their orders, but I'm just the customer who has never worked at the dealership, what do I know?  Sorry for being the debbie downer, but seeing this poor communications between dealers and customers is just sad.  If the truck was on there lot right now, they would be calling me every day till I sign the papers.

No communication from my dealer except two weeks after signed order saying not accepting xplan, so i let it ride to see what would happen when delivered.. Called monday to cancel order now all to happy to take xplan and got production email this morning.. Not saying email was result of me threatening to cancel but funny how hes all to willing to do xplan now..

image.thumb.png.fe8ef2deddb4bb49363a46fd9d09fb3a.pngThis is from the Ford Shareholders site.  Looks like they made a little over 27,000 Superdutys in May between the Kentucky and Ohio plants.   This is down a few thousand from what they made in April.

At that rate theyd be over 200k by years end so i guess its possible not probable they get all the orders built

After going on 7 months and seeing trucks delivered  in much less time than that I’m a bit anxious, hopeful,  frustrated, disappointed at how Ford schedules and looks over orders that have been out there for months.  I’m sure there are many reasons as to why.  It’s a lottery it seems getting picked up for a build.
At least I confirmed my truck is “unscheduled clean”  as of Tuesday with Ford Marketing which by the way had no answer, or at least wouldn’t or couldn’t answer, as to how people get trucks in 3 months and other have waited twice as long.

i spoke with local fleet manager about how orders getting done so fast, he said has two identical trucks 6 months apart on order dates the one that was  ordered for 2 moths got picked over the 6 month old one, ford had no explanation as to why. now thats a he said she said but from some of the stories you hear doesnt seem far off.

Get them both.. sell the other. Make some $ to pay for the one you're keeping
