Hahahaha.  Horse hockey. Watch one of the videos on gooseneck prep install and they take out the bolts to raise the bed and then put them back.  One time use bolts? Hahahaha

Just because they do it does not mean it is what the engineering specs say about it. Lots of conflicting info on the interweb.

  2. Lots of spray in fans here, myself included.

With that said, I've had drop ins and just don't like they why they feel when walking around in the bed.

I had a Tundra for many years with a no name spray in. It was too thick, caused the tailgate to not shut too hard and I had to replace the bushing in the tailgate twice.

I've had two with Line X, and like other recommend it. Don't be fooled though it can be damaged. My last truck was a 2019 F250 and it had a couple of dents and scuffs that went through the liner. I did not bother getting it fixed before I sold it. I then put a bed mat in the floor and I really liked how it felt over the line X

With that all said I have a 2022 F250 on order with the Ford spray in, since I'm putting a topper on it, I'm going to try a bed rug over the spray in. If I wasn't doing a topper, I would throw the bed mat in over the spray in as well.

I think a lot has to do with your application. Knowing what I know now, I would have something in the box to protect it. That something would not be a drop in. :)

Great, another example of a Ford Dealer that's too lazy and can't be bothered to do their job and provide the information a customer requires. It's simply amazing how many Dealers are either so lazy or incompetent to realize that the little time and effort it takes to provide customers with retail orders such information. Sure, many dealerships are working with lower staff levels than pre-pandemic and there's been a tremendous increase in the volume of retail orders. For more than 35+ years of managing inventory, my policy was to be pro-active and provide retail customers with order status updates before they felt a need to ask. Each morning I prepared a Vehicle Visibility report showing the current and/or updated status for every retail and fleet order that was distributed to the General Manager, Sales Manager, Fleet Manager, Finance/Business Managers and all Sales Representatives that had retail orders. It took all of a half hour to produce and distribute the information.

At some point the microchip shortage situation will be history and commodity restraints and supplier issues will ease. But in the future, when today's customers return to the market again, those customers and enthusiasts that have been treated so poorly, those customers are going to remember the dealership experience. Short-sighted management decisions, policies and practices do not make for long term success and customer loyalty.

I could not have said this better myself.

A little bit of proactive information goes a very long way to satisfying even the customer with the longest wait.

People just want to know they have not been forgotten and that their order is important.

For most buyers this is the second largest purchase of their lives.

I would love to see pics of Rapid Red LineX. I thought about it, but couldn't find any pictures so I went with black on my '22 Rapid Red F250.

I'm surprised LineX pulled your box bolts out. Mine said they would not do that since they are one time use bolts.

You guys need to pay better attention.  It’s been answered at least twice in the last 3 days.   It means nothing it’s just the date the sticker file was generated.

Well perhaps since you know exactly how the process works and "we're" not paying attention, you can tell us why the sticker files are re-generating?

I'm just a guy that bought a truck that is trying to figure out when it will arrive and watching for changes to see if there is any relevance to the changes. The dude just asked a question and I shared my experience.

Anyone know why the date changes on the bottom of the window sticker?  I read somewhere that it’s nothing.  It seamed to change after the truck was built, and after it showed shipped… if it really shipped. Lol

not that it really matters I’m JC.  Maybe just board waiting for my truck to hopefully show up!

I can't answer the why, but I can say that mine changed a couple of times in the build process.

It changed when it went into production and again when it was built. It's sitting waiting for a rail car to ship to Iowa.

I just checked it again and the date has changed to 3/9. My estimated delivery is 3/11 - 3/17. So I don't know if there is any correlation to activity or not.

  7. Mine was built 2/14.

When Ford was providing estimated delivery dates my original delivery estimate was between 3/1 - 3/7. It was then changed to 3/11 - 3/17, so technically it's not late yet.

The Ford tracker no longer has estimated dates on it, so who knows what it is now. I have the rail car number, but when I call it has not changed and when I put my VIN into the palsapp website it shows "pending" but does have a freight bill number so they are expecting it at some time.

It would be nice to know why it takes a month to get loaded onto a rail car and then a semi to make it to it's destination.

Which bed mat did you go with?

I had a DeeZee in my 2019 F250, they are local and I bought it at their outlet store for fifty bucks.

It was nice to be able to through rocks and bricks into the back on it without worrying about damaging the floor of the bed.

Monoman,  the iOS version don't allow changes the module function/behavior. You can only read the codes, so it's pretty useless, since iOS isn't developed to the same as the Windows version. I went online & bought the corded dongle, and a refurbished HP laptop for about $255 all in. The HP laptop's sole purpose will be to make the tweaks I want through the ForScan program.

What version of Windows did you get with the refurbished HP?

I hear that there is a stripped down version that you cannot load non MS software onto, but haven't been in the MS worlds in a long time. But need a laptop for the same reason as you.

  10. My 2019 F250 was Blue Jeans, the Blue's that are out now are not for me.

My 2022 F250 that's sitting in the rail yard waiting to get loaded on a train is Carbonized Grey with the BAP. So I guess I will be like everyone else, except I'm putting a ARE MX topper with their OTR finish (spray liner black). I hope it looks good.

My truck truck looks like its been sitting at the Shelbyville rail yard for 7 days. Says it was loaded on a car today. Estimated arrival is March 2nd but KY is a long way from south Florida.

How did you find out it was loaded on the car?

Mine's in Shelbyville as well, has been since the 14th. I have a car number, but the automated phone system for the rail road company does not give a lot of info.

  12. you might consider it in case you ever go down the gulf and drive on the beach. I lived in Beaumont for several years and surf fished, so was on the beach a ton and always worried about the salt water from the beach.

I've never even heard of some of these items, but they may be worth looking into.

That would be great.  I have a feeling it's something as simple as waiting for enough vehicles to fill a convoy.  Do you have a dually by chance?  Someone from a facebook group that does railyard logistics told me that it was "normal" to take up to 8 weeks to move from the KC railyard for duallies (pre-covid) because they could only be on certain spots on the trailer?

no, mine is a single wheel drive

8 weeks, ugh. Our order was placed August 31, knowing it's built and sitting in a rail yard is painful.
