I was bumped to a 23 on 9 Nov.  My dealer called me in the morning, and I went to the dealership that afternoon. My original 2022 order for a King Ranch ultimate was placed on 5 Jan 2022.  How were y'all informed of the $5,000 discount from Ford for your 2023?

That’s just what my salesman told me. That’s why I wanted to see if other people were told the same thing. Not sure why they waited until the last minute it seems to get this info out.

  2. Has anyone else been bumped to a 23 already? I got notified from my dealer to convert to a 23 last Friday, they said I only had until Monday the 21st to do so and that I would be getting a $5000 rebate if I do. I placed an order but have not seen anything else in this forum indicating this is true. Original order was placed 12-9-21 for a f-350 platinum tremor. It’s been a wild ride, ended up buying a  21 f-250 lariat ultimate tremor with BAP to hold me over, but now I am not sure I want to get rid of the 21 and I am glad I have it even though the value has dropped. Ultimately I want a 350 for increased legal towing capacity. For a 5th wheel that is likely in my future.

I wasn't impressed or encouraged when I first read that the Dealer wasn't sure how to amend the order. Regardless, retail orders are price protected to the price level in effect at the original order date. The WBDO (Web Based Dealer Ordering) system will only display the current pricing level when the WBDO Preview is shown. There are plenty of posts about the retail order price protection which is an internal accounting adjustment between Ford and the Dealer. Hopefully, you have a signed sales agreement specifying the exact terms of your transaction. FYI... the Window Sticker and vehicle invoice will be created using the pricing in effect at the time the vehicle is produced. Ford does not re-invoice vehicles at the price level in effect at original order date.

I picked up a used 2021 F250 Lariat Tremor while I wait for my order to be scheduled. Since I have a truck that will hold me until I ultimately get what I want (platinum 350 tremor) I have asked my dealer to add on options that I didn’t order since I though they would otherwise hold up my build such as AS. I have been at a priority 2 for a couple of months at least and they keep telling me that the system shows my “options locked” and that they cannot change them. Any advice? They are pretty transparent with me, show me the vvr whenever I stop in, still says unscheduled clean. They have told me I have price protection at least from my order date of 12/9.

  4. Ordered and confirmed on 12/9/21. F350 Platinum Tremor 7.3 antimatter blue with 5th wheel prep, Spray in bed liner, console vault, upfitter switches, all weather floor mats, moonroof and power running boards. Priority 2 for several months now. Dealer showed me VVR yesterday and still unscheduled clean. Really needed superduty for camping season this year so when I saw this 21 that came in the day before on trade I made it mine. 21 F-250 Lariat Ultimate Tremor 7.3 with BAP, carpet delete which I must say is pretty awesome. Moonroof, UTT and a slew of other options. I figure this way I will have something for the summer or into next year should I not get scheduled or have to wait for a 23. But now that I have it I will probably get scheduled next week lol. Really digging the way this truck looks though. Also hoping I can sleep better knowing I have something and feel that I don’t need to spend every waking moment on this forum.

So you are the guy that goes to a fine restaurant, orders filet mignon and the waiter comes back out 5 minutes later and says “sorry, we have run out of filet mignon, may I offer you a Porterhouse instead?”.  You indignantly stand up, throw down your napkin, and walk out the door vowing to never dine there again because they “arbitrarily” decided they had run out of filet mignon and were not able to serve you something they don’t have.  You go to the next best place, but it is just the next best place, and dang it, they don’t even have filet mignon on the menu so you order the Porterhouse.  All the while trying to convince yourself that it is just a matter of principal.

If the lack of a massaging seat bothers you that much, cancel your order and take your $500 deposit and go buy a Chevy 1500?

Bad analogy, it’s more like ordering an $80,000 porterhouse and only getting served a strip steak.

  6. Also pissed about the likelihood that I will not get my motion seats (the reason why I ordered a platinum vs lariat) and no the $300 credit doesn’t make up for it. Even worse I went to go price out the difference between the lariat and the platinum and it looks like a lariat can no longer be built with the tremor package so I can’t compare it anymore. But if it’s anything like the multi contour seats I am sure that will be the next thing ford hands down to customers the lariat tremor delete option!  (Pure speculation only).

  7. Good Point! But either way there there are people looking for that one truck that they ordered long before that they are still waiting for a scheduled date, not unlike myself that are probably at least a little jealous of at least having 2 trucks scheduled. I have been priority 2 for a while now and still nothing, ordered 12/9/21 and I know of people on here waiting far longer than that. Congrats on getting 2 trucks scheduled, I only hope the best for you and myself of course. I will ride out on my f-150 as long as I can but I really was hoping for a super duty for my big 1200 miles trip at the end of august when I ordered in December which is looking increasingly optimistic at this point. I asked my dealer in September if I should order and he said "don't worry about it quite yet", when I asked in December he said "YOU HAVEN'T ORDERED YET?"

Got a built email on Monday. Unfortunately not for the order I was hoping for. Both orders went into production on 5/2. One was ordered 12/27 and the other on 3/4. Received vins for both on 3/17.  Still holding out hope I'll get the built email for the 12/27 order at some point this week. Hoping to get it before vacation.

You should be prepared to generate some hate on this post as others of us have been confirmed long before either of your order dates and still not even scheduled. Be happy and take what you get knowing that you have put the rest of us behind while allowing your dealer to take the other and make a huge markup off of it.

Does anyone know what the massage feels like in the king ranch seat? Because if it is just like a vibrating seat I’ll call the dealer and get rid of it to get my truck built faster. Now if actually does  massage or whatever I’ll keep it.

As a current King Ranch F-150 owner I use the active motion everyday on my drive to work. I really wanted to order a fully loaded lariat with the BAP but decided to order a platinum instead because I wanted the active motion seats. It’s defined not a corny vibration style massage, but produces more a slow firm rolling sensation over your back and butt. It alternates sides and location that it “massages.” I think the big advantage is if you are like me and your legs fall asleep on long rides this helps to stimulate blood flow and prevent that pins and needles sensation. It feels sort of similar to how the pneumatic compression stocking in the hospital work I think.

So I wanted to verify my status as "unscheduled clean" just because I hadn't really heard.  They verified I was and then added this to the email...

I asked for something in writing and said that that's not my understanding as I'm a COVP.

I think it's BS but that's just me.

I had a good conversation this week with my dealership. I am also still unscheduled. Ordered 12/9 f350 platinum tremor 7.3 with 5th wheel prep, spray in bedliner, floor mats, moonroof, console vault, upfitter switches. I asked my salesman what was up and if I could change anything, he shied away from telling me much, so I asked again about changing options and he hooked me up with the sales manager. I asked the sales manager about what options I should remove, he tried to remove them but said the system wasn’t allowing him to remove them, printed off my DORA which shows me at a priority 2, I asked if he could speak with the regional rep about removing options and he said he would reach out to her. I mentioned to him how it sucks that the price has gone up 3 grand since I ordered and he told me “ don’t worry you have price protection” he volunteered this info which was great. Also got a call back a few days later that they did not remove any options based on the advise of the regional rep, hope this holds true, I am thinking I have been at priority 2 for at least a month and a half based on our previous conversations. Hoping to get scheduled soon.

Personally, I hate adaptive cruise. The shortest follow distance is still too far and it’s infuriating every time someone cuts in front of you, it slams on the brakes and slows you way down.

I kindof agree that the shortest distance is too far only after driving home from West Virginia to New York last Friday in my wife’s 21 f-150 (btw we passed a truck load of brand new superdutys on I-79 north in WV including a nice white 450 and white tremor). It was close enough at 80 mph to worry about rear ending my buddies trailer but far enough away that I kept getting cut off because people are d-bags lol. That being said I thought it was great since I was riding behind the guy with the trailer the whole time I barely had to put any effort into driving. I did find out you can push the accelerator down to get closer without shutting off the adaptive cruise it will just slow you down to a safer distance once you let off it and it will also bring you to a complete stop in traffic (mind you I had my foot over the brake pedal the whole time ready ti cram it if I needed to).

I have been on Ford.com building trucks everyday hoping to get a PCO, I guess I will call marketing today. My truck was shipped on 4/2 and I am running out of time. Congratulations to everyone who has received one!

I have never received a PCO before in the 12 years I have owned fords. Interestingly enough when I was looking at my ford credit account online trying to find something about offers etc I did find under the my account tab if you scroll toward the bottom there is a tab that says privacy settings. When I clicked on that there was a drop down that said on it that I was opted out of ford promotions and soliciting or something along those lines. I changed it to opt in yesterday and I got an email shortly after for brakes, batteries etc. I am wondering if this was restricting me from getting the PCO? Pure speculation and only time will tell. I will update if I do get a PCO but I suspect since it was after the send out the other day that I may not get one until next quarter. Still not scheduled since 12/9/21 so I probably have time yet.

I had a 2019 Ram Powerwagon, which I really didn't like and was offered stupid money for so I sold it. In about the second week of January I ordered an F250 Platinum, with pretty much every option available except the 7.3 gas engine instead of the Powerstroke. No more diesels for me, not with the current emission controls (primarily the DPF). My dealer has made all kinds of promises and excuses, but I haven't received anything from Ford via email confirming the order, which the dealer told me to expect. They then changed that to I'll only receive emails once the truck is scheduled for build. Looking at some of the order dates here compared to delivery dates I don't know if I'll see the truck I ordered before the change over to 2023 MY trucks.

Should I have received a confirmation email from Ford when the order was placed? The dealer seems to be trying to keep me out of the loop, I think they're hoping I'll buy elsewhere and they can have this truck for inventory since they claim they're getting 10K over sticker on a truck like this that's in stock, ready to deliver.

    Thanks

I got this email while I was still at the dealership. Ordered 12/9. F350 Platinum Tremor with all of the commodity restraints except AS. Only other communication was an email a week or two ago that was sent out to what seems like everyone with outstanding orders saying there. Did you sign an order sheet and give them a copy of your drivers license?

I have a Platinum, but no schedule email.  Only email I have ever received was the conformation email and an email last week about the delays.  Would love to be on that schedule email.

Same, ordered Platinum Tremor 12/9 with confirmation email the same day and the delay email last week. Still waiting to be scheduled. It would at least be nice to have a vin so I could check the tracker instead of feeling like I am in limbo.

They wouldn't know that until the next week when the AM Preview Scheduling Reports are first available on Tuesday. It's possible that Ford may be blocking the change for a pending priority code change or other action, but it sounds more like the Dealer is probably telling you what they think you want to hear.

I thought it sounded a little funny based on what I have read on this forum but my salesman was the one who told me to call him and suggested I try changing it. We are pretty tight, he did admit to me though that he doesn’t read most of the reports that the sales manager sends to him so he could be under-informed about the process.  He is frustrated because he wants to sell trucks and some people have literally been making threatening/violent comments to him recently. He said he was going to follow up with me Tuesday when they get the am preview and let me know. Ultimately I ordered on 12/9 so I know others have ordered well before me and are in the same boat while others have ordered after and are getting delivered or at least scheduled. I think I am just getting excited with the break in the weather in upstate ny right now.

  16. I just called and talked to my salesman about removing the fifth wheel prep and bed liner and he called me back saying that when they went in the system it wouldn’t allow them to change anything. He seemed to think that I might be in line to be “in line” to be scheduled?

F350 Platinum Tremor in Antimatter Blue

7.3 Godzilla with Fifth wheel prep, moon roof, console vault, spray in bedliner, power running boards, upfitter switches.

  17. Has anyone got an email like this? First thing I have heard since I got my confirmation email on 12/9. I am assuming I am going to be hit hard by commodity restrictions, thinking about taking some stuff off.

    I LOVE adaptive cruise

I agree, my wife’s 21 F-150 has adaptive cruise and lane keeping, if the truck is fighting you all the time you probably just don’t know where you are in your lane as much as you think you do. ( I think that’s why she hates it) I used to tell her all the time she’s gonna drive right off the road lol.
