Ford hasn't always had a good relationship with its dealer franchisees
I think that is an issue with all manufactuers except Tesla....oops Tesla doesn't have dealerships. lol.
My opinion...and I think Fords push for retail special orders.....is that car dealerships as we used to know them is going away. Dealerships will be become more of a delivery and service point.

If it was an option you could buy...I'd probably order one. But to add aftermarket...probably never.

Tesla is dropping with the market. In case you didn't notice, the Dow fell 800 points yesterday and Tesla was down this year even before the Twitter news.
One big difference between Ford and Musk... I don't think Musk is ananti-Semite.
Yep...only thing is...Dow is down 9% and Tesla down 26% ytd

All I know is...since Elon has been trying to buy twitter...Tesla stock has dropped.

This thread is ineteresting.
I.... like most think BEV as we have today...are not the answer for the masses. After reading here about SS batteries makes me think there may be tech that comes that makes BEV more viable. But at the end of the day...I am in the camp.... to be fossil fuel free...we need to also look at how/where the electricity is produced. Right now 60% comes from fossil fuel. We must hope the current tech is only a stepping stone to greater things.
I will add...I would own an electric vehicle as a non-primary car to drive and play with from a performance standpoint. The acceleration and braking power is off the charts!

2022 Maverick
As I understand Maverick is based on the Escape platform and Sporttrac based on the Explorer platform...so Maverick is smaller.

Sorry Ice...I was just trying to figure out if removing items that I dont really need would help or hurt my production date.
Coming to realize....there is no set answer. But at least I know removing them will change my PR back to 10. I will talk to my dealer and see what he thinks.
Thanks for all info you have shared.

The priority code for an unscheduled order wouldn't change from 01 or 02, to 10-19, unless the Dealer submitted a change to the specifications without the assistance of the Ford regional office to restore the priority code to the previous 01/02 status.
Ok...this makes me wander...If I am PR 02 and I delete some items(wheel liners, floor mats, and fold flat work space) do I drop back to a 10 or higher priority code ....or stay at a 2? Sorry for the redundancies...just don't want to do anything that will hurt my delivery.

Yeh...I know...just thinking if I delete some options...it means less parts to wait on.
I am not chomping at the bit..as I knew people were waiting sometimes up to a year on orders. My current and very nice 2014 F150 is still serving me well.
Thanks for the response!

A couple of questions i have on priority level.
I place my order 12/31 and dealer assigned P/L to 10.
I inquired with him and he sent me a report that a column PR
AL
02
I am assuming it moved to Priority level 02. I am guessing it is waiting for parts to complete the build. I have on my order wheel liners, floor mats, and fold flat work space.....which I could do without or ad later. Do you think deleting these items will help my chances of getting scheduled. I am thinking it would.
Thanks for any comments or answers!

my 2019 F150 HAD it... my 2020 F350 HAS it... my 2022 F150 will have it... No beeping, it just awesome !
The only draw back is IF your NOT paying attention, you could creep up on a car, have your vehicle slow down 5 mph or more and not realize it.... No biggie, just means driving slower for a period of time until you realize what is going on..... get in passing lane, pass and back to speed
Does it go off of set speed or off of posted speed on signs. I read bluecruise goes off of posted speed....hoping adaptive goes off of set speed.

Yeh...what are the published commodity restrained items people should be aware of?

Another one to consider is Granger Ford in Iowa...they are promoting $50 over cost. I haven't priced it yet with them...but since I am in the midwest...prolly who I will use.

My wife's car(Acura) has adaptive cruise...and I don't care for it...it beeps every time it has to slow down ...so in traffic very annoying.
I like the idea of adaptive cruise and love the idea of blue cruise...hoping ford does a better job than Honda.

I would be interested to see if the Active Park Assist 2.0 Removal is gonna last the rest of the model year. As slow as production is my ordered F150 platinum may end up as a 2023. lol

Production Date/Blend Date
in Production and Sales
Posted
I ordered a f150 in December. About 10 days ago...I got a window sticker...and it shows a blend date of 6/19.... with 2447 number listed after blend date. The Ford tracker has shown in Production since I recieved my WS. I have tried Ford chat and they say it is in production....as that's what the tracker shows as well. When I ask about when it will be built....they say its in production. My understanding is ....the blend date comes before production begins. So if I have a blend date of 6/19 shouldn't production start after.
Thanks for any info shared.
