  1. Zuggy, yes the Sport Trac is built on a truck frame, just like my Explorers . As you can see by my signature, I have had 3 Explorers and each one of them have been a great truck. I had the 1994 for 8 years and it had 155,000 on it when I sold it. The only major problem was the transmission. It was eventually sold to family and it is still going strong and I would say that it has close to 175,000 miles on it.

My 2002, I had for 8 years and when I sold it, it had 165,000 miles on it and no major problems. I also sold it to family and they haven't complained about it. On both of these trucks, I was able to get around 90,000 miles out of the Michelin tires. They rode terrific.

My 2010 is just getting broken in with just under 3,000 miles on it. I'm planning to keep this one for a long time. I have found that the reliability of the trucks have been terrific. I have never abused the trucks and they have done what I have asked them to do.

    I hope this helps.

    How you liking it Harddrive?

  2. Hi,

i just purchased a 2009 sport track adrenalin and i have a few questions before i go shopping for winter tire and rims

i was at the dealer the other day and the tech told me i needed at least 18" rims to clear the calipers but according to tirerack.com i can go as low as 16" ... so id like to know exactly what is the smallest rim size i can fit on my vehicule

    http://www.tirerack.com/snow/WinterPackage...mp;autoModClar=

also id like to know what is the hub diameter if i need center ring for aftermarket rims

    thanks for your time

We do have a 16" rim that comes on the XL"s. I wasn't aware of a bigger size caliber on the Adrenalins. There are 4 different size rims from the factory. 16,17,18 and 20.

  3. As most of you know, I recently purchased a 2010 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer. I have loved it and it's been terrific. I know that the main body color of the truck is Sangria Red which is paint code JV.

Now, I'm looking to replace the step bar for a full running board and I want to paint it the same as the accent color which is Pueblo Gold. Now, I will look on the vehicle sticker on the truck, but I'm wondering what is the paint code for the accent color on the Eddie Bauer.

    Thanks for letting me know.

I'll see if I can find out Monday when I go back to work.

  4. I got an email and a phone call from my dealership today (18 Aug 2009). My truck has arrived at the dealership and is waiting for me to come and rescue it :P

I plan on going in on Thursday after work as I have other stuff that I need to do tomorrow evening. I want time to look it over and get things done and get to bed at a good time.

So my wait is just about over.

    Hope you enjoy it Harddrive

  5. Well build date/week has arrived. I went by the dealership this weekend and looked at the 2010 models they had. I didn't look at them closely, but they don't seem much different than the 2009.

My salesman again checked the order log and it is showing the scheduled deliver week will be the week of 17 Aug 2009. I'm personally going to expect it the last week in August.

So I'm still waiting and I got assurance that the truck will not be sold out from underneath me and that I have first refusal on the truck. So I just have to wait.

Harddrive you have a message in you inbox. Truck has been built.

  6. Kinda missing on a key word here aren't we and that is "BUY". We could have bought stock at the same price and made 10% ourselves. It wasn't like he was "GIVEN" 5 million shares. All of us would like to be in his position and make the big money but I'm just happy that I still have a job paying what it does. Where else you gonna find one like it? Besides I thought it was great when he stood up there and told them he didn't need there money just a line of credit. He saw this stuff coming and prepared for it. I believe when the dust settles there will be a new #1 and that will be us.

  7. Why should we have to give anymore? Sounds like the government is blackmailing the companies if they want the money. Make the UAW give up more and we will let you have the money. What is the wage per hour after the big3 quits putting money in the retires insurance fund equal out to? Pretty soon the government will tell you when you can or can't drive on the damn street.

  8. There's the Explorer's 20" wheels according to the Ford website:

    http://www.fordvehicles.com/util/uad/index...274&nType=1

I couldn't find a 20" wheel on the Mountaineer site, largest I could find was the 18" wheel, heres a link to the website if anybody else would like to look for it if I missed it somehow:

    Same wheel, different center cap

  9. I believe that they were made from 75-78. I had a Mercury Monarch whice was the same vehicle. It was a pretty good running car..

Ours had a 302 in it with 4 wheel disc brakes. People started using the rear ends in street rods for the disc brake setup. Had some big ass doors too.

  10. We just bought an 07' in the Dark Stone. We looked all over and the Orange Frost we saw on the dealer lot looked like a non-metallic orange. Do you still have the brochure? If it comes in and you don't care for it, I would bring it up to the dealer and either order one in a color that you can see before hand. I have seen the Ford Edge color you are talking about and if they offered it on the Explorer, I would have wanted that. good luck.

    Troy

You'll like it exspecially if you got the chrome clad 18' Wheels. If you got the aluminium 18's it will look super too but the chrome really stands out. I see them going down the line every night
