iceberg Posted July 5, 2007 Share Posted July 5, 2007 On the Duratec Engine front valve cover is a box containing a electronic controled and gear driven cable attached to the intake manifold adjusting the two sets of butterflies I presume increases the air fuel mix at higher speeds for better performance. Anyway over here in Australia I cannot get a replacement cable or the unit even from the wreckers, so was wondering if anyone had any ideas on repair or replacment ? Thanks Robert. Meelaan Posted July 5, 2007 Share Posted July 5, 2007 Ford sold a crap-load of 3rd generation (1996-1999) Taurus' in the U.S. Anything you need for your vehicle is likely abundant here.
