fusion0206
A friend of mine just bought a used '05 Escape. The previous owner had the door keypad installed after purchase but did not provide any instructions to the dealership when trading the vehicle in. No one knows the entry code...is there a way to reset it? If so, how?
Walt
As you mentioned, it wasn't from the factory. So all the usual "where Ford hides the number" don't apply. I would stop by a Ford dealership, and check with the person in the parts department. If they are nice, they should be able to get a copy of the instructions for how to (re-) set the code number, if they don't already know how it is done by heart. FordPaul
I have installed this on 2 Escapes I have owned and w/o the original code supplied with the keypad there is no way to do it. At least not in the directions I have. Everything refers to the original code as far as resets and changes to the code.
