OldFordJim
I recently had to replace the battery in my '10 Focus SEL. Before that, the readings for AVG MPG was just under 26mpg. Since I put the new battery in the readings for it have been in the 19-20mpg. When the car is idling, you can see the mpg readings drop by tenths. I know the mileage readings aren't accurate, but these are downright erratic. It's like when the old battery was dead and the new battery went in, it goofed some things up. Is there something that can be done to correct this or is that the way it is. And it only seems to be the avg mileage readings affected.
