Sorry to hear that wixom will still be closing, we feel for you but we were wondering what is you're idle date and when we at STAP will produce this car(if it actually happens)? They tell us late 2007 or early 2008, just wondering also if it will be in it's current form or slightly restyled, not that ford has enough sense to do that to these fine automobiles!!!!! butthead Posted October 8, 2006 Share Posted October 8, 2006 Date was set at May 31, 2007. The plant has assigned a MW leader to run the disassembly of the necessary equipment to ship. If I had to guess its going to take at least 3 mo. to tear down and ship and maybe another 3-6 mo to get it on line. You should be seeing pull ahead work starting soon. Power, foundation up grades ect. As far as up grades that a good one. They have had 2 changes since 1992. THey are going to run them like they are for another 5 years then see what happen.
