Sekhemempet Posted December 21, 2021 Share Posted December 21, 2021 Hey everyone My new 2021 F150 Tremor has a rattle during cold starts that goes away once the cold start sequence ends and the rpm's drop to the normal 600. It's definitely not the cam phasers... Those sound different. I'm thinking it's the turbo wastegate rattling, but not 100% sure. It happens during every single cold start, and once it goes away when it warms up, I never hear it again.... until the next cold start. I've taken it to the dealer for them to check it out, but they barely touched it and said it's normal. I'll be taking it to another dealer to get a 2nd opinion. In the mean time, I'd love to hear what yall think. In the video, you can clearly hear it. You'll notice in the last few seconds of the video, the rattle goes away when the cold start sequence ends.
