The latest rumor at Wayne Assy is that when we come back to work they want to work us 6 10 hour days.The question is whether the contract will allow them to work us 10 hours on Sat. As of now, they can only work us 8 hours (at leat that is what I have been told).

Nobody is fighting at Wayne Assembly. It doesn't matter who you are or where you work, everyone owes it to themselves and to their fellow workers to stay informed on what is happening not just in the plant that they work at but at all the plants. I thought that was what this forum was all about, passing information true or false, rumor or not. Sharing documents etc. Nobody should have their head in the sand and ignore. :shades:

I have heard great reviews from people that have bought the new Focus and have driven it for a while. Why can't people just admit that we might have a winner and be glad for Ford Motor and Wayne Assy. We are working every Sat. and will be going on 10 hours to keep up.

Just remember the last name of our Plant Chairman and watch for friends and relatives to be on the move. It is time to stop the nepotism and politics and make some changes at Wayne. I have heard that our Plant Chairman will leave at a time when Junior can step in without an election. Watch the chess board, people, and be informed and aware. By the way, when do we get a copy of our contract?

I believe that also the service will not cover suing dealerships or Ford Motor Credit. I am not sure about Blue Cross or HAP. I'm not saying that you cannot sue, but the service will not cover it nor will they give a referral. At least that is the way it used to be.

Yesterday a sign in sheet was sent around at Wayne Assy asking for people who were sent to Wayne Assy last year to go back to the Truck Plant. As far as I know now, almost none of the former MTP people are going back to truck. So if they want to start a second shift, they will need more people from somewhere..

You misunderstood my remarks. I treat everyone the same. But when I started o ut at a lower pay, I was expected to do the hardest jobs in the plant as a new hire. As you acquired seniority, you were able to bid on the better jobs. It seems that the rules are changing, and the $14 employees will be doing what at Rawsonville. Solidarity is everything and we must stand together.

I was told from soneone who got it from Bob King that the $14 employees would be placed together at the parts plants and not at assembly plants because there would be too much "animosity" i,e, doing the same work sholder to shoulder and making that much less. My opinion, since when did the union or the company care about animosity!

Hey Shit kicker! Who asked you!!!! When shutdown is the same year after year, and then all of a sudden it changes, we as employees have a right to know. Just because you don't have a life, doesn't mean other people don't have have one. This a just an example of the union withholding imformation from us. I am sure that our plant chairman has already made his vacation plans along with his entire family.And as far as the contract goes, apparently we are going by the new contract, but we at Wayne Assembly have yet to see a copy of it. I never said it was contractual. What I said was, he should have cared enough to be informed, in case some one asked him. "I don't know" is not acceptable from a comitteeman.

I asked one of the big bosses and he said July 3rd would be our last day. But the Union says that they can change it anytime until April.Ask the Union and they say they don't know anything yet.. Of course that is their answer for anything.We got sent home on Fri. at 11:27. I asked my committeeman on Monday why we were sent home, he said that he was not in on Fri. and has heard two different reason. Now, wouldn't you think he would want to be able to tell his brothers and sisters what happened, just in case they asked.

Many of us want to take vacations (since we have to use our vacation time for shutdown). But the union and management has said on the quiet that they don't know when our shut down will be. Could be two weeks later than usual. And of course, no one has made an announcement. People are making reservations, plane tickets etc. which could be in jeopardy if they change the time.

Well McCain came and went. Never took the mike. Just did a photo shoot around the new Focus and some comcept cars.This will be on CNN and other news channels. What a joke. They called 8,5. Moved our break to 1:00 instead 1:30 and then we ( the people who do the real work) did not get a chance to see or hear him. Not that I wanted to, but some people really did want to. I am sure Billy Ford fronted lots of money. To be fair, we were told that Obama and Hilliary were invited, but of course they are too busy trying to win the nomination. McCain has already got it, so he could spare the time. The Union put out a nasy flyer about McCain and we were told it was out of the Union's hands.

Well, I found out who invited McCain to Wayne Assembly. Bill Ford who is a Republican. And McCain wants to help us? I don't think so. But it will real good on the National News.

I agree! I wonder if he will put on a coverall for a photo shoot with the assembly line behind him. Like Brother Bush did when he announced that the Iraq war was over.

We have been told that McCain will be at Wayne Assembly on Thurs. I would like to know since when does a Republic get invited to a Ford Plant? And who wants him there!
