  1. The wiring harness for mine was under the rear jack cover - if you had an Expy (or F150) previously then the harness is the same and can be reused.
  2. Well....I've owned by 07 since September and now have 4900 miles so I thought I'd post my experiences so far. This is my 3rd Expy - a 1999 EB, a 2003EB and now this one. The 07 is by far the best I've owned and the best SUV I've driven. I got the 17" wheels, sunroof, dvd, captain's chairs and have since installed a hitch camera to make hooking the boat up easier. My only complaint is with the new 6spd transmission - why does it start in 2nd gear? At times the hesitation is bad enough to make you wonder if you're going to make it across an intersection. I've done a few searches and while a couple of folks seem to have the same problem there does not seem to be a fix yet - any ideas? Positives: Much smoother and quieter ride than the 2003 model. Gas mileage is improved - getting 15 around town vs. 13 in the 03, and I'm getting 18-20 on the highway compared to 16-17 (avg. speed of 75). We love the powered rear door!! The new reverse sensor system which doesn't require the 'holes' in the bumper appears to even work better than the old technology. The brakes are improved over the 03 which I thought already had good brakes compared with GM products I've driven. Negatives: 2nd gear start, daytime running lights - is there a way to disable? It's nice to have a short list on the negative side. While some may question having the DRL on the negative side - it's just a personal thing. Any thoughts/suggestions on the 2nd gear start would be great. As a side note, the new Jaguar 6spd is apparently doing the same thing - car mags are reviewing the XK/XKR and it starts in 2nd as well - maybe this is a fuel economy thing? If Ford is unable to develop a 'fix' then I wonder if Hypertech or someone else will develop a handheld tuner with this as a user set option.
