  1. I just was asking about the chances of getting 15 MPG with the diesel. What's your problem? You aren't paying for the truck. Thanks to the members who gave me they're MPG experience. I have driven the SD with the diesel and I know that it is more truck than I need (WHAT A TRUCK) . However I am a middle aged guy who can afford to buy some of the stuff I want. I just don't want to spend the money on the diesel and find out that I could get better MPG with a gas. Thanks again!

If you can afford the diesel - go for it. The residual value will be much higher than a gasser - you actually don't lose any money on the diesel - you gain. Go to e-bay and look at retail prices of older Super Duties... the proof is in the pudding.

  2. Ford has made a big mistake and ultimately it will hurt them for this ugly Super Duty cosmetic design. You can profess they "know that they're doing" all you want... but I'm afraid you'll find out that this '08 design style was a bad decision and will have a bad affect on their bottom line. Companies who purchase the trucks as work trucks, don't give a rats ass about the cosmetics - so you're right, it won't affect that portion of the market... however, it is going to have a strong impact on personal purchases. I want Ford to succeed. I have a 2003 Super Duty and it was my intention to get an '08, based on the hope and assumption that the Tonka truck was going to be built. The '08s don't even come close.

Yes, because everyone shares your opinion. Ford obviously knows what they're doing when it comes to trucks. The 2008 super duty's that I've seen look wonderul to me.
  3. Oh.... is this why Lincoln has gone downhill???? because of Ford's focus on Jaguar and Aston Martin... wow... thanks for explaining that one. :finger:

...I think if they didn't have Jag and Aston Martin we might see some more impressive stuff from Lincoln.
  4. I don't think the space increase warrants ripping out your interior. I have a center console... and it has more space than the armrest storage... but if I had a choice again... I'd pick what you currently have as opposed to the bucket seats. (Assuming that's what you're doing.)

I am trying to find out a part number for a center console that fits between driver/passenger in a 2007 F350 (tan interior)! Would like to change out center seat and install console for more storage. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance!
  5. That's nuts... try having a keyless entry and a push-button start for 1 day and you'd want it... trust me. I get in my truck now and forget that I need to use the key. Yikes... Ford = outdated.

...I like the little normal keys that don't have a computer chip or anything in them. I didn't like fumbling around with the big key my '97 expedition had with a computer chip in it, and I was glad to see my '05 super duty still has a normal key when I got it.
