Rumor is going around Norfolk that we also will stop the line and be taken somewhere in the plant to watch a video from Bill Ford! Someone said a supervisor told them this info.

Nightshift at Norfolk has had those same bullshit meetings,its just an excuse because they do not need the trucks from what we are hearing.. Also heard Norfolk might be getting some transfers from Jersery then once they get here lay people off.Anyone hear that?

Glad to hear that cause at one time there was rumors about cutting a shift when that building was complete. Sounds good to me I hope NAP keeps 2 shifts.

FORD is adding this building at Norfolk so it can go down to one shift..With a storage building they won't have to worry about lost production due to body or paint so they can get there numbers on one shift with no breakdowns.

Norfolk could not be looking for 50 people,we have so many extras now that people walk around and sweep all night because there is no work for them............... Plus there are rumors of laying people off after christmas break because we have too many people.

just thought ford employees would like to know that ford is giving downtime to a F-150 plant...Which means if trucks aren't selling then FORD is hurting....So why does our downtime need to be a secret,huh huh???

Our plant manager put out a letter on Dec.15th stating Norfolk will be down Jan.30th thru Feb.3rd due to slow sales.

Norfolk is actually working 10 hours a day...I guess we are stock piling trucks for when we are laid off one week a month next year....Makes alot of sense work overtime then have down weeks...

Norfolk is working 8 hours.Just curious what Dearborn and KCAP are working?
