  1. Here at Ypsilanti, that exact thing occured to me. After a town hall meeting I asked HR who was going to Sacramento HVC when it was not a choice. After speaking to the Union I was informed that Ontario CA was one of "their" first five choices. And after being polled they were selected. My first issue was that Sacramento was not a choice, and if I had known that there was to be special consideration put on our first five, my selections would have been different. (Ontario CA was one of mine ! ) Second one of the people selected has 04 senority, where I have 99 !!!!!! The union representative who visited me later, agreed with me. That in the very least the company should have polled ALL who had Ontario as a choice and THEN went by senority ! He also agreed with the statement that flowback was on "hold" even though we recieved a request from Romeo.
  2. It was not specified to me just that flowbacks were on hold.
  3. Like you I had the opportunity to sell my home, so I did. Thinking I was going to be transferred soon...but no such luck yet..... Have you been given a date of transfer??? Maybe there will be a delay in that....hopefully that is the only delay. Have the flowbacks that have been posted follow the guidelines, like senority and choices?
  4. I guess if I were in your shoes, and had already been told that I was being transferred, I would ask either the union or HR. Have you been given a date yet, maybe they will hold that information until "things" are cleared up???????
  5. I believe the name is confusing you...I work at Ypsilanti, Maumee was my first choice back a couple of years ago, when they first talked of a flowback. Are they moving lines from Maumee to Woodhaven?
  6. Today a union representative told me the same thing, that flowbacks are on hold due to senority issues !!!!!
  7. A union representative came to me today and asked if I was offered CA would I go ? Of course my reply was "yes". ! Just to end the mystery of where I am going and when.... But I also told him that the bigger point was that the company was doing the flowback incorrectly in my opinion !! And he agreed with me and said that "they were looking into it" who "they" are exactly I don't know. I then questioned him about a "hold" being on flowback due to senority issues, and he confirmed this !!! But said that Romeo submitted a request for someone from us.....
  8. At Ypsilanti we have or will have, 2 going to Detroit HVC, 1 to Lakeland, 2 to Sacramento,1 to Memphis. I believe the Detroit one go 3/15, Lakeland and Memphis 4/1 but the ones to Sacramento I'm not sure.
  9. We have had 3 powerhouse operators to Brownstown, i powerhouse operator to R & E, 8 electricians to Rouge, 2 production to Detroit HVC, 1 productin to Lakeland, 2 to Sacramento, 1 production to Memphis, 11 to Ohio Assembly, 1 to Walton Hills and 1 to Kansas City Assembly. Some have gone, some will be leaving Mar. 1 some Mar 15, Memphis, 4/1 amd Kansas 4/1.
  10. HR and the Union were the ones who gave me the info, that a person with less senority was going to Sacramento. When I told them my senority, their reply was that Ontario was one of their first five choices....I told HR and the Union that it seemed like the company was changing the rules to suit themselves while the game was being played !!!! and they just knotted their heads..... Now about Maumee, when I joined B.O.N. was during the first flowback and Maumee was my first choice hence the name. I work at Ypsilanti ACH. A member of my church, works at Maumee and the last time I spoke with him. He said that there was a rumor that they might be closing the doors sooner than later. Maybe July instead of Sept.
  11. After reading our plant's newsletter from the union and attending a town hall meeting with our plant manager I had a couple of questions regarding a flowback situation. After questioning a HR and union personnel some issues came to light and I wanted to let others know so they could be on the look out at their plants. We have two people going to Sacramento CA ! One thing is, this location was not one of the choices. Ontario CA was ! (And it is one of mine !) Second thing is, apparently these individuals were offered these postitions, because Ontario CA was one of their first five choices. Where in any of the flowback paper work was it stated that your first five may be negotiated ? Had I have known that by moving Ontario CA into my first five that I may be offered another location in CA ! And why didn't the company poll all the individuals who had Ontario CA as a choice. My third issue is about senority, one of the people who are being transferred to CA has 04 senority !!! I have 99 !!!! And by doing what they did, I will not be going to CA Furthermore, I have to wonder if I will get to any of my choices !!!! I gave the company 13 of them, Denver being my first and I am 19th on the list. The next 8 all have a lot of people signed up for them as their first choice, so I understand I would come after them ! With Portland being next, then the next two did not even have pages in our book. So I guess they were elimated earlier. Leaving Hartford and then Ontario CA. Well with negotiating and other such nonsence going on I have to wonder if I will be placed anywhere ??? So I am encourageing all flowbackers to be pro-active and watch who is going where and what is their senority? I hope and pray to get somewhere before Sept. 07 and again I hope it is one of MY choices.....Good Luck !!!!
  12. I remain hopeful. By our flowback "book" 18 people had Houston as their first choice, 22 for Fort Worth, 24 for Evansville, 11 for Portland, 1 for Hartford and 6 for Ontario. There were lots of people who signd up for Phoenix, Greensboro, Lakeland and Memphis of course. So we'll see. If I keep rolling down the list I should end up in one of them !!!! If they are planning the flowbacks for March 1st, by my estimation they should be informing people by Feb 8th....3weeks notice right ?????
  13. Anyone know the number of people that left, Denver, Houston, Fort Worth ,Portland, and Hartford ?
  14. How many openings are there at Ontario? That was one of my choices !!!!
  15. My assumption (appartently incorrect) was jobs were to be bid to the GEN at the various locations, not system wide. Meaning that people in the Gen at the facility would be offered the jobs at their facility first, then flowback people would fill the rest of the openings.
