  1. (150 K) Had a meeting this morning and the acting plant manager (Tom McWilliam) told us that we will be shuting down @ Sept 16 or sooner and that WEP will lose one shift Oct 16/06. He praised us for our quality and production number and that we have been under budget for the past 5 months and it is strickly due to market volume. We had a good run of it almost 7 years, but we knew it was coming with higher gas prices and loose of market share. :titanic:
  2. The Hurricane Engine program is back and alive to compete with the Hemi and Vortex engines see this article in the Detroit News. http://www.detnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/artic.../603260358/1148 Does any one know where this engine will be assembled? EEP MVL has been sitting idle since last fall would it be re-tooled and used to assemble it? I know that the pallets used for the 5.4 Triton are being sent out for modification, for what I don't know. Rumours that the engine block will be machined at EEP LVL 5.4 Block line which will have to be re-tooled for it. Any ideas if this is true?
