I had this problem in mine. Was the sub-woofer amp. I had added an aftermarket NAV system but left rest of speakers/amps and dealer would not fix. Had stereo guy put new aftermarket mono amp in and it fixed it fine.

another vote for black or dark charcoal interior!!! (though the Fx4 would work for me it'd still be nice to have the option on the Lariat)

I for one am sitting on the fence in terms of buying and a total of $4K in rebates plus near invoice deal might get me over the hump. I don't need a new truck, in fact, I really can't afford to get rid of the seating capacity of the Excursion so I'd either be keeping it and adding a pickup or replacing the exursion with 2 different vehicles each with its own distinct purpose. It's just irritating that the rules are the way they are.

Much quicker & likely ultimately cheaper way to provide public with better efficiency and higher MPG. Technology is there now to make quiet & clean diesels. Come up with a 4.0 +/- liter 6 for SUVs and a 2.5-3.0L for very small trucks/cars. With gas prices where they are, the public will learn to love diesels.

Saw commercial yesterday and only caught part but thought it said you could get up to $4k in rebates on '08 SD including $1K customer loyalty rebate for owners of other Ford vehicles. So I go to the dealer today to inquire and look at a new SD only to find out you have to own a SD to qualify. I own an '05 Excursion with the 6.0L. Boggles my mind that they will give a rebate to one person who owns a Ford but not another who owns an equally expensive Ford. Not much incentive to be loyal. Anyone understand the rationale behind this decision???
