Rough Idle

The car now has 117000 miles on it runs great. I gave it to my daughter and now I drive a 2012 focus ses, so far I love it. Get your motor mounts checked.

Rough Idle

Update, finally at 73000 miles on a 75000 mile warranty, I was able to find a dealer who was able to fix problem. It was the passenger side motor mount. I had it check at another dealer, they said it was ok, took to a dealer in Louisville and they diagnosed and repaired it in less than a day.

Rough Idle

Update: Car now has 63000 miles on it and it is worse than ever. I found a tsb on this issue that stated it was covered to 80000 miles so I took it in and had it checked out. The dealer ran a two hour test and said I don't have the issue covered in the tsb. I know I do though cause it says on the tsb the car flutuates between 700 and 500 rpms, and mine does that at every light. Still considering changing plugs I don't know what to think.
4. Anybody having trouble logging into B2user tonight?

Rough Idle

No it hasn't stalled, and I thought about the plugs but I only have 41000. They are supposed to be good to 100000.

It is really bad when it is cold, but it does do it sitting at a light after it warms up. but going the speed limit it is smooth.

Rough Idle

My 2008 Focus with 40480 miles on it is having a rough idle issue, any thoughts before I take it in on what to look for? My mileage is great, averages about 38. I have a K&N air filter and it has been cleaned. I run Chevron Techron every 3000 miles. I am at a loss.

11. If you don't like Ron G. Wait until you get Bob K. He is where the plant against plant started.
12. I agree 100%, Henry Ford said that he would make everything in house, so not to be held hostage by anyone. Outsourcing take the companys power away.

Squeek

seems to have worked thanks.
14. I already conceded that in the post prior.
15. I stand corrected on the Dues, your right. But the V-Cap fund was used to support this president and to help get him elected. We have worked our butts off for Obama and I don't think we deserve (2 months after he gets in) to be thrown under the bus. We had no help in D.C. before and we have no help now.
16. Obama, is out there saying GM’s best bet is a "structured bankruptcy" and that everyone needs to give more. Is this our best hope? I for one feel like we have given enough. Clinton did the same thing (stabbed us in the back) in 1993 and we said nothing and here we go again. Our Dues paid for thi s one as well. Do you think the U.A.W will ask for a refund?

Squeek

Thanks I will try that.
18. What plants have voted and how did they vote, so far. Detroit Free Press states voting to be finished by Monday.

Squeek

I love my 08 focus but I have a slight problem. I have had it into the shop 3 times to fix a squeek or chirp coming from the rear of the car. They changed the right shock but that didn't fix the problem. Anyone else out there been down this road and come on "squeek free"?
20. Someone sent this to me....... Ford, Chrysler and GM's contributions after 9/11 An interesting commentary...You might find this of interest: 'CNN Headline News did a short news listing regarding Ford and GM's contri butions to the relief and recovery efforts in New York and Washington . The findings are as follows..... 1. Ford- $10 million to American Red Cross matching employee contributions of the same number plus 10 Excursions to NY Fire Dept. The company also offered ER response team services and office space to displaced government employees. 2. GM- $10 million to American Red Cross matching employee contributions of the sam e number and a fleet of vans, suv's, and trucks. 3. Daimler Chrysler- $10 million to support of the children and victims of the Sept. 11 attack. 4. Harley Davidson motorcycles- $1 million and 30 new motorcycles to the New YorkPolice Dept. 5. Volkswagen-Employees and management created a Sept 11 Foundation, funded initial with $2 million, for the assistance of the children and victims of the WTC. 6. Hyundai- $300,000 to the American Red Cross. 7. Audi-Nothing. 8. BMW-Nothing. 9. Daewoo- Nothing. 10. Fiat-Nothing. 11. Honda- Nothing despite boasting of second best sales month ever in August 2001 12. Isuzu- Nothing. 13. Mitsubishi-Nothing.. 14. Nissan-Nothing. 15. Porsche-Nothing. Press release with condolences via the Porsche website. 16. Subaru- Nothing. 17. S uzuki- Nothing. 18. Toyota-Nothing despite claims of high sales in July and August 2001. Condolences posted on the website Whenever the time may be for you to purchase or lease a new vehicle, keep this information in mind. You might want to give more consideration to a car manufactured by an American-owned and/or American based company. Apart from Hyundai and Volkswagen, the foreign car companies contributed nothing at all to the citizens of the United States ... It's OK for these companies to take money out of this country, but it is apparently not acceptable to return some in a time of crisis. I believe we should not forget things like this. Say thank you in a way that gets their attention..
21. I just bought a 2008 Focus and it is a Great Car. My first tank I averaged 39.4 Mpg and the second I averaged 35.6 mpg. I loved my Escape as well, and got fairly good mpg about 23, but with 110,000 mile I had to economize. Thanks Wayne Michigan for the Focus and Thanks to Kansas City on a Great Escape. I would highly recommend either vehicle to anyone.
22. Does anyone have the link to the LAP forum? Thanks
23. I was just trying to find out if the package even existed. In the info I've seen I did not see one the would give you a monthly income and a lump sum payoff for the 10-50. She has made up her mind I just feel she has been ill advised and was trying to get some more information before the dead line. Thanks for everyone’s input but she is head strong and feels confident in her decision.
