wow...political bull shit everywhere in this forum...wonder why so many people don't post here anymore (with the exception of all the political ass holes pushing their agendas)...
....Just sayin....THIS IS AN AUTO FORUM.....take you B.S. elsewhere.
Two things guaranteed to start arguments....religion and politics...

I know about the production numbers but Limited and 15k built don't really go together...
I guess when you are building 500k+ a year 15k is special to some....just not me.
I guess I'll wait for another LIGHTNING.....have a feeling it will be a long time though...
Well its more like 6k two wheel drive and about 9 or 10k AWD. And its also the paint, rims and a couple of interior items that are Limited exclusive and cant be ordered on any other 150.
...And yeah, I wouldn't hold your breath for a lightning....Raptor is the only thing going on in SVT truck wise.
-
Derek, Have you made any SuperCrews with 7 lug wheels?
7 lugs only go with the HD payload and 8' box I believe. We only go as far as a superCab w/8' box. Those are built in K.C.
-
Why is the LIMITED only made certain model years?
Because it's LIMITED....We only build about 15k units (each truck has its production number in it, 4000 of 6000...etc.etc.). First was for 09 (first year of new design) and then this year because of the 6.2L. I doubt there will be another run of limited on the current platform.
-
Just wondering if anyone has any idea if the EcoBoost will be available in the Harley, Limited, or Raptor models for 2012?
My wife loves the LIMITED and we would like to purchase one but don't want the 6.2L engine.
If it's an option next year, we would be happy to buy another FORD vehicle again... :shades:
Thank you,
Josh :beerchug:
Limited is just a one off this year. We are already done producing them. As of right now there is no word if they will offer it in the Harley or Raptor.

Not to mention that the 14 foot long frames won't fit thru the frame heater & blow-off chamber... Even if they did, they wouldn't make it inside ever since they put the new vision system in on the frame scanner. As it is right now, the 157" frames have about 6" of clearance... whatever WB the 8 foot bed trucks have would certainly not fit on the 4-strand.
Regular cab w/8' box is only a WB of 145. So its just a matter of getting the box line overhauled. The sc with an 8' box is a WB of 163 I believe...so it might fit with a little grease...lol

Yep, I've lost count of how many times crap like this happens. Start driving down the aisle to look for a spot and here comes some dick driving down the wrong way. Then they look at you like your the problem....Well, I'm only going to work so I'll just stop and wait for them to move....I'm in no hurry...
...And lets not forget those "special" people who love their car sooo much, they give it 4 parking spaces....
-
I for one would like to see all these political bull shit topics gone from the forums...just saying....

It really is shocking how all of these "skills" have all but vanished from high schools today. 20 years ago I was taking auto shop, welding, wood working and printing tech....None of those remain in my former high school now...

5. Not necessarily, so long as people are open to the possibility that Ford and UAW can achieve an amicable contract. I don't see either party waging anything like open war...
I love your optimism, I really do. But we have both been here long enough to know when it gets to contract time posts like this are bound to incite war between the workers here and the members who love our vehicles but HATE the uaw. It's one of the reasons I don't post as much here anymore....That and ALL the stupid crap in the employee section.
...But we can hope right???
-
Do you even know this guy NICK he is the best man for job!!!!!!!!!! The unoin suppose to be a brother hood but we got jokers like you guyzz talking nonsense.. Maybe next time you should stand up and try to make a difference and wave around your copy of the contract since you know soo much about it....He's got 3yrs of my 100% support and too prove and u HATERS wrong........
Yep, he's a hell of a guy....He knows EVERY half job in the plant....Does this mean they are going to double up this job for him as well????
-
We always do 10.4 or higher on C crew rarely get a 10.2 seems we have to pick up the downtime from a and b throughout the week.
Funny....that's what we always say about A and C crew....
(and we only did 10 hrs. Friday!!! WOOT!!!!)

"B" Nick Stojanovski 48

Guess b crew gets fucked again....just like normal.

A two-tiered wage structure for new assembly line employees was part of the 2007 agreement - new hires earn on the order of $15/hour, instead of, what was it, $25/hr? From the sound of things, they're allowing custodial work to be outsourced altogether.
That's about all I know and probably at least partly wrong, but that's the gist as I remember it (and briefly looked from various sources).
New hires will start at around $15 an hour, though I don't know any new hires. We have mostly super temps right now. They will move up in pay and top out at about $20-$25/hr. The work force can only consist of 20% at lower tier. Once that is met, the highest seniority second tier will move up to top tier when people in that tier retire.

Its funny and stupid to see these topics pop up every four years....
You have the anti-union people posting their hate for the the UAW and the workers. Then you have the extreme pro-union people posting that we are going to get x, y, and z or else.
The funny thing is, every contract has just been a rehash of the previous one. We MIGHT get a few things back (COLA, x-mas bonus) but for the most part its going to be exactly what we have now with a few minor tweaks (work rule changes in exchange for COLA, bonus)
So all of you fight and piss each other off all you want....I got tired of these topics a long time ago.....I'm going to go to work every day like I do now and MIND MY OWN BUSINESS....Later.

Dealer allocation and what priority code is used. Hopefully someone from the plant that builds these will chime in and give some info. as to how many they are building on a shift.
We build about 3-5 Raptors per hour or around 30-50 per shift. I know for about 3-4 days a couple of weeks ago all we were building were Lobo Raptors (going south of the border). Most of the raptors being built right now are crew cabs with a few super cabs thrown in here and there.
One more thing to remember. Dearborn truck was down for a week while we waited for parts for the 5.0 engines. So right now we are about 6-7k trucks behind in production.

I know I was just warned the other day and I apologize o.k. ! Sorry Fatso Andy ... for whatever the fuck I did. Anyway ! Big fucking deal "YOU WERE WARNED THE OTHER DAY" Grow up dickhead...what the fuck are "THEY" (forum police) gonna do? I said sorry to Fatso , mind your fucking bees-wax ..
It's tools like you that have flooded these forums the last year or two that have ruined them. You do nothing but add to the public stereotype of an auto worker as being uncivil and uneducated.

I usually dont like to come off like that
Don't usually come off like that??
Seems like you come off like that very often, and you were just warned about it the other day. Get some anger management or just stay off the internet.
....And YES, it snows in Michigan in the winter. Get use to it. Don't want to drive to work in it fine.....But there is no need to go all "e-thug" on your co-workers for showing up.
Christ, topics like this one and all the political ones (as well as others)...No wonder I don't come to employee section much anymore.....

The front plate mount goes on the driver side where the plastic bumper piece would normally go.
-
seeing as there were roughly 15 working days that puts production at right around 870 trucks a day.
its closer to about 1200 trucks a day
And yes DTP is idle this week for lack of engines.

lol...nice try Chuck.
I've been in DTP body and I did those door jobs. Learned the front doors in one day.(didn't trip over the wood flooring either) The jobs are not any harder or easier then any other job in DTP....you want a hard job (other then your one at BK) go back in time 8 years and try doing a job at the old DAP....DTP is a vacation compared to that place....
As far as the people and team leaders...work with them and not against them and everyone will get along fine.
