  1. Why I would tend to agree that most of them do want to stick it to the people, why cant Ford employees discuss whatever they want on this forum? I didn't realize we gave up our free speech on Blue Oval. We have the right to debate any topic we choose to and you have the right to read it or ignore it.

Sorry you are right, now I remember why I don't come here often. So much for talking about what is going on at Ford.

  2. Wow you all sound like a bunch of stupid little brats besides this website was built to talk about Ford it's products, and the people that work there. Maybe all you brainiatcs should start a political forum where you can talk about DC all day, in the meantime they ALL (politicians) continue to stick it to US (people).

  3. It is easier to follow than to lead.........What larger local was the 1st shot over the bow ???......KCAP not DTP. Besides as some say that DTP is a favorite child...it wont be DTP losing the F150. Sales will not return to 16-17 million. Situation will play out perfectly. 2011 contract approaching, lost Escape/Kuga to LAP, DTP with tag relief and OT to pick up slack , KCAP will get tax incentives AND concessions (in plant) for any consideration for new product. Standard operating procedure. Remember , the Company still has a right to run their business as they see fit. Someone archive this...I will be happy to look it up in a year..........

IF KCAP did not say no would DTP? I'd say they might have followed the lead either way. Like you said it is easier to follow......

  4. :censored: skilled trades needs to stop whining in 2011 you will be maitenance mechanics no more sitten around drinken coffee and saying you need a pipe fitter or millwright etc. i can't do that

get what you can now because skilled trades are not so skilled anymore

certified trades as outligned by osha are skilled and will be ok

hey the membership wanted it now its time to pay anyone can replace a light bulb or chain, belt or fix a broken air hose even oil a balancer :stirpot:

your 120,000 dollar a year jobs to watch contractors work over the holidays are gone forever sorry sad but true

Nice union reply jackoff. skilled trades pays dues too. Union brother my ass.

  5. Your serious? 85% or more of the way people act on here is about as close to real life as it gets. Most of the time you need to learn to read between the lines and let people speak. Besides believe it or not we all adults and choice is what makes our world great, if you don't like the way things go on here you have a choice too........

  6. Our chair said that it wasn't a matter of making the corners but, a factor of the things that carry the frames not being able to hold them safely. he also said that OSHA told him that of their survey of DTP that it would take 26 weeks min. to retool the plant. You said you heard it directly from the pres. but aas the title asks, who is the liar. him or our chair.

Well it's been awhile but isn't a standard cab w/ 8' box (139"wb) and a foor door with a 5.5' box (139"wb) the same size? Hint the answer is in the question. So the frame carriers are different how? Besides the frame carrier holds 126" to 163" frames at the same time, whats unsafe?

  7. history should be taught in HIGH SCHOOL - not in college - in College, they are to be picking their specialization and careers ... not accumulating general (and usually deemed useless) knowledge. The only reason I know about history, geography, biology, chemistry, and Physics is that I was forced to learn them in High School ... in College I focused on my career and specialization.

If it should be taught in high school then shouldn't the little shits be able to retain some of it by the first year of college? If they can't remember that (which I doubt that the learned it at all) then what are these careers they are picking? We have become to soft.

  8. Considering that KCAP is a deul plant with the SUV side having more demand, it is not suprising that the management or the UAW can come to terms on how to handle the problems. It seems that the logicial way is to put trucks back to 5-8's and feed SUV people on an as needed basis, ie bad weather. As for the general his bais against KCAP started from his first post on BON, showing his knowlege of Ford, or lack of.

  9. :o Was that directed at me? Believe me If I bought any kind of truck, it would definitely be a ford. I believe Trucks are one of the few things Ford has gotten right in the past four or five years. Unfortunately I'm not a truck person. There've been only three cars in the last 5 years that Ford Motor has produced that got my heart racing, The Aston Martin Vanquish, Aston Martin DB9, and the Ford GT. Unfortunately I can't come close to affording any of those models on my soon to be EX- Ford Skilled Trades income. So the only thing I can do is wait and watch as other manufacturers continue to come out with desirable and affordable vehicles. Hey sooner or later Ford will catch on right? :rip:

It was directed to me mr. ballsonya, and yes I did buy a Dodge for several reasons mostly a 6.5' box 4 door and it will still fit in the garage. I have drove Ford trucks all my life but this choice was based on future needs for me and my family.
