The thing that pisses me off is that your location is lucky to have this investment.
The number for employment will increase with a $450,000,000 investment. Pick it apart all you want. It’s just shameful to thumb your nose at this huge amount of money, jobs, investment and product.

I would be on here thanking the parties responsible, namely your Local UAW committee who pushed and lobbied the Government to give tax breaks to further increase the size of the monetary investment.
You got a windfall most others in UAW Ford are envious of…. You should go to church and thank God for this blessing.

ISA worked 5 hours. Anybody that didn't make it in will get short work week for Wednesday.
To get short work week pay, don't you have to make it to work? That doesn't sound like the Ford I work for. 4 hours straight time, 4 hours short work week pay when you show up on time and there is not enough people to run the line on a snow day.

I've already mentioned we get nothing up here in the great white north...aka CAW. My only question is this, what is the base rate of an Inspector at your U.S. plants?
Just curious as here its $34.25 Canadian.
The reason that there is a CAW is because the UAW wanted profit sharing and the canadian plants felt that a cost of living allowance was more equitable. Up until now, the canucks have been getting a percentage on their
cheques,and the Americans have been getting nothing. If your asking about inspector rates, surely you have worked at ford long enough to know this.

Been there, done that, got the t-shirt. We are all going to die. I would rather live my remaining years in prosperity. Work keeps the body in shape, and prolongs life. So far, even with working for a living, life has been good. Why not continue with a good thing? I take three vacations a year. That is better than scavaging free coffees at Fortinos and 99 cent breakfasts at Zellers; driving a 10 year old rattle-trap, and living in somebody's basement, or a crime-ridden trailer park.
Just go away. Nobody cares.

There is a TSB, (#10-18-4, low frequency knocking noise from the engine at hot idle only), that your truck may fall under. It states "vehicles equipped with a 4.6L 3V or 5.4 3V may exhibit a low frequency knocking noise from the engine at hot idle only. The noise is predominately heard from the right front wheel well area and/or the right hand (RH) engine cam cover. This noise may be generated from the RH variable camshaft timing (VCT) phaser assembly." Ask your dealer if this TSB applies to your truck.
Great information, but if the knocking is not caused by the camshaft timing, this will give the dealer an excuse. Saying the problem is a ford tick sounds like this particular dealer doesn't care. A different dealer sounds like the best route.

I spoke with one of our old supervisors, and one of your new ones, and he echoed everything I said. He wondered why the quality, moral and attendance was better at the plant that is closing, then it is at the plant that is staying open. And maybe he was just trying to make us feel better, but he doesn't understand, with everything he's seen and heard before, and since he arrived at OAC, why it's staying open.
You can have all the Windsor guys you want. As we found out, they're pretty useless. So I'm sure they'll fit in at OAC.
Somebody is bitter. If OAC isn't up to your standards, then find a new job and make some room for somebody else. Sounds like your the one that doesn't fit in.

Will this change our fate...absolutely not! But Scott and Dennis stood @ that podium with the national reps and blatantly lied to each and every person at the meeting. For that I want accountability.
Is Scott ever on the floor, NO! He is busy going to Oakvillle and Windsor learning to be a benefits rep so he can take it from a senior guy!
Dennis was a benefits rep for years. You can't believe that he didn't know the info that was given to us was wrong.
The job of both Scott and Dennis is to look out for our best interests even if it means standing up to Lewenza and his cronies. I feel they failed us on all accounts. Several people asked for more than 2 hours to decide on this contract and were denied. Why on earth would they not give us time to understand the implications of the deal??
As for your accusations against Oakvilee and Windsor. The national decided they would vote on our closing agreement. Maybe Scott, Dennis and the rest of the bargaining committee should have barred that from happening. Again they failed us!!
For anyone wanting to go to Oakville I would suggest they look at what the union has allowed to do with the Windsor people. TEMPS!! I find it diificult to fathom that the same will not happen in Oakville. The precident has been set!
Some Windsor people are backj in Oakville this week.

Thanks for telling me what I should post info about. Nobody cares about the diarrhea you post, except yourself.Construction has halted for weeks. There is an eyesore of a shell of what looks like a low-rise office building just sitting there. Thanks for the useless information about your opinion of me. Next time you post, provide some information about OAC. Edge sales were down over 17% in August. Flex was down by much more. It looks like Obama is going to get shut out in the mid-terms. I feel sorry for you .I don't care for cats. I don't have any pets, except for some fish in my pond. They fend for themselves. I am not preventing anyone from posting OAC news. A shift Final Assembly got sent home after 7.6. I hear 8 hours for a couple of weeks. I provide as much news as anyone on this thread. I ruffle a few chicken feathers sometimes, so they cry the blues and rat me out. Ford has reduced it's production for the fourth quarter. Bad news is being supressed hoping to keep sales moving along. What is going on with the Power Centre at Burloak and the QEW? It looks like construction has stopped. The parking lots are almost empty, also. It is a sign of the times.
Thanks for the useless info about your preference for pets. You just don't get it. If you feel The power centre doesn't have enough shoppers, well it must mean the end of the world.

There is a whole world of differing opinion out there. Indoctrination takes that away, as alternative points of view are a threat to people who are brainwashed to believe illogical concepts. The truth to them is like holy water to a vampire. Charly, you should crawl out of your box, and let your beliefs stand or fall on their own merit, like Conservatives and Libertarians do. Liberals and religious fanatics spin webs to contain the lies within; and become more and more reclusive as the truth permeates. Ford knew that they couldn't block the truth, so they embraced it. You should do the same. Think outside the cocoon. It will open doors to a whole world of knowledge. Narrow mindedness is like tunnel vision. You miss a whole dimension.

If you have attained this much wealth and you are around 62, then isn't it time to enjoy life and the things that truly matter. But you suffer from some sort of delusional disorder thinking that the world and/or its' economy is coming to an end. If it is then when will you enjoy your wealth. You are living a sad life. Hosh I haven’t seen anything remotely FPS since I’ve been at DTP Body. Our Team Leaders assign jobs, canvass and update overtime, send you home, evaluate your work performance, update your pay sheet and post it, and report to management of your attendance.
Could you please let me know if this is the same job description as your FPS Team Leader positions? Also, team leaders at DTP Body are on their on equalization and even get to work the shut downs out side of seniority of the production members, working in the production unit.

Sounds like DTP runs a whole different system than what we have. Are leaders all have 20+ years. They put gloves and aprons out, fill up stock boxes, give people washrooms, and fill in if someone goes to medical. Leaders do have radios, but they aren't in charge of anything. As far as canvassing overtime, that is the foremans job. The leaders may pick up some repairs as well, depending on how motivated they are. As far as attendance, work evaluation etc, salaried work. As for shutdown, it goes with seniority.

i do no at kcap there so brainwashed its pathitic and all i can do is laugh at them they really think they are it and the place won't run without them
and to be honest these idiots took on the work a supervisor used to do for 65 cents more an hour
they do everything but pay us and make out disciplinary reports

I work in Ontario, and we just have one leader for a line. (15-20 guys) The job is seniority based. Are you guys using the FPS work group system with 5 or 6 guys in a group and rotate jobs?

Nothing will change unless the union is replaced. Try coming out and saying that if you are in a Communist country and see what happens to you. It is not any different in a union. The union will take care of the "troublemakers" who try to rock the boat. When you are weak, and small in numbers, you have to use guerrilla tactics; not put yourself in the line of fire. We don't want to lose our jobs over this.
Whatever. Complaining with the keyboard is a waste of time. Your so called "guerrilla tactics" sound like a waste of time as well.

I agree with Trim here. With the union, it's easier said than done.
The entire union has the same mentality, and if anybody tries to challenge it, they will be silenced. Look at any ratification vote. Those who praise the union are given all the time to speak. Those who oppose it have their mic's cut off.
One person can't change it. We have to throw them all out on their ass, and start over. But with the way they manipulate votes, you know that will never happen
We just went through elections not so long ago. Gary is still el presidente. You or ding nuts can say what ever you want, and nothing will change. Step up to the plate and make a differerence. Or on the other hand, just complain and do nothing.

When these sell-out artists retire, their pensions will be frozen, and because of high inflation coming in the near future, they will soon be worthless. Benefits are being phased out. I had to pay $600 out of pocket for dental work that is not even worth $600. They have the prices jacked up because people have dental plans. Now the plans do not cover the jacked up prices, and are falling further behind every year. I don't think that I will ever again be in a position to purchase a new vehicle, and I am a top tier worker. Future workers will only dream of having a new car.
If you can't afford a new car after all those years, you have been doing everything wrong. You should cancel your internet connection to start with and save some money. You would also save everyone else on blue oval the grief of your rants.
