I was around 150 but I was wondering if that list included any of those who were on the 28+ program still and skilled trades. Thats what I was thinking too. I came up 272 on the list with 12 years in. out of roughly 400 people going, I figure I have to be in better shape than 272.

See these KC guys are worried about our seniority which doesnt make sense. for one: we can't bring more than 84 seniority with us, and two: we will more than likely be replacing people with over 30 years for the most part. another thing, is that they may get the bids on everything opening before we even get there, and us slap'ers will get all the shit jobs.

You have got to be kidding!!! You take a transfer to CAP to get what you hope is security, get laid off anyway is bad enough but then don't even get the money that was supposed to be INCENTIVE to go in the first place. I don't think that even 5 dollars a gallon would keep me from buying a new car when I need one I even think that alot of people that ran out and traded a bigger car or truck for something small that gets good gas miliage, will end up figuring out it wasnt worth cramming their family into a little car with no room for groceries and whatever. I'm just sayin that I think americans are too spoiled to start riding mopeds to work.

hmmmm never saw a fusion before, I'm sure most people have though, especialy with 19 inch rims on it.

I just think you have to pay pretty close attention to see what the commercial is for. anyway, I know that sales of the fussion are important to ford and probably us in the long run, I just HATE the fact that it is not built in u.s. and would not buy one. the commercial should be running on the mexican idol

I'm sure advertising on idol is no small investment, and the payoff will not be that great if you don't even know what the commercial is for.

28-30 yrs got paid 36hrs a week untill they got their 30 in for full retirement 1 yr to get education and 100 grand. 30 yrs and up got full retirement plus 35k

At first we heard that only retirement packages would be offered, but at the union meeting wed. we were told ALL packages retirement, education, and 100 grand.

KCAP SUV Chassis/UAW 249 What do you mean by the last part^^^^^^? At slap, if you were 50 years old with at least 10 years in, you could take a retirement package. we were told at the slap union meeting wed. that they may change it to 55yrs old with 10yrs, when they make the offers to KC.

I was a sprayer in paint for 6 years.

I am laid off from slap, and went to a union meeting wednesday. monday we have a meeting with reps from kansas city to answer questions we have. tuesday-thursday we have to sign up to go to KC. they are telling us that everyone who wants to go will go, so when they find out next week how many that is they will know how many packages to offer guys in KC. I hear that their are ruf. 500 slapers laid off that could go, so I would estimate KC will have about 600 packages offered. and all of this on our end sounds like fact.

Something else that bothers me about their window sticker, is that I have heard numorous times that the MPG is total bullshit, that they jack up the numbers to make sales, Is this possible????? you would think that something like that would be monitored by someone.. P.S. bighead, are you going to the union meeting today at 3.00?

Thanx for your help I started looking at liberty cuz that was some advice given to alot of slapers back a couple of months ago, but smithville lake has deffinately cought my eye. I truly think that around 1000 packages will be offered within the next couple of weeks, and hope everyone from KC and SLAP get what they are looking for.
