They said there were 50 slots. Originally we signed up and were told it would be July 16th report for everyone. Then they came back and said KCAP would take as many as wanted to go April 30th. I don't know for sure how many signed to go early. I check around and see what I can find out.
  3. Thought this was a good one to pass on.... Joe Smith started the day early having set his alarm clock (MADE IN JAPAN) for 6am. While his coffeepot (MADE IN CHINA ) was perking, he shaved with his electric razor (MADE IN HONG KONG ). He put on a dress shirt ( MADE IN SRI LANKA ), designer jeans ( MADE IN SINGAPORE ) and tennis shoes (MADE IN KOREA ). After cooking his breakfast in his new electric skillet (MADE IN INDIA ) he sat down with his calculator ( MADE IN MEXICO ) to see how much he could spend today. After setting his watch (MADE IN TAIWAN ) to the radio (MADE IN INDIA ) he got in his car ( MADE IN GERMANY ) filled it with GAS from Saudi Arabia and continued his search for a good paying AMERICAN JOB At the end of yet another discouraging and fruitless day checking his Computer (Made In Malaysia ), Joe decided to relax for a while. He put on his sandals (MADE IN BRAZIL ) poured himself a glass of wine (MADE IN FRANCE) and turned on his TV (MADE IN INDONESIA ), and then wondered why he can't find a good paying job in AMERICA ....

  5. I know I have seen this in past forums, but do not have the patience to go back and dig.... A bunch of us from TCAP are reporting next Monday to KCAP. They are not really giving us a whole lot of info other than what the "general" hours are. Can someone post what you guys are currently working, day and night shifts .. both lines, overtime, projected schedules...? Really appreciate it! Thanks!!

Good for you!! I am glad you got your transfer. Hopefully all that want one will get one. KC is where we here at TCAP are hoping for. I am hoping someone can shed a little light on how this is going down at other plants -- Voltar -- you are from Wixom... Wixom is still running (for now)..correct? How did the transfers come to your plant already? Here at TCAP we have been told that we may not be eligible for transfers until we close, but there may be some coming in March. I guess I am confused why some plants are getting them and some are not.. shouldn't it be system wide? Let me make it clear -- I do get that if you are closed and have an active GEN pool...you are eligible. NAP is following their product..which makes them eligible... but Wixom and TCAP are still running... I am confused. HELP!!!!
  7. Has anyone at KCAP heard anything more on receiving transfers? We're aren't being told a whole lot. Thanks!!
  8. Any other postings up today at TCAP?
  9. Sorry to misinterpret. It is unfortunate what is happening. But at this point I would really like to have an option as far as a transfer goes. It is hard to read people complaining about the options they have when some of us who did not want to have to leave our jobs aren't even getting that option. Our plant is closing, and all the other plants closing seem (and I say SEEM with caution) to have way more options than we are getting. I mean no disrespect - honest!
  10. As MonkeyButt stated ... maybe he should be thankful he has a choice to transfer at all...it is tiring reading all the whining about flowbacks and transfers when here at TCAP we're like the red-headed step-child....kicked in Ass. At least you get the choice.
  11. and what about transfers? we had the union letter about 6 weeks ago saying they had secured transfers....now not a word about them. They've got to fill the slots in other plants too... so screwed up. Kansas City news stated they would be filling their slots with workers from closing plants (AAP, Wixom, Twin Cities) by Jan 1st. Anyone heard anything on that front?
  12. the only thing I am sure of right now is that they should have had this figured out a LONG TIME AGO. It's not new news that the buyouts were coming and the numbers would be high. They should have had their strategy lined up and only needed to fill in the names.... my opinion for what it's worth.
  13. did you miss the news....?? Wixom is closing
  14. It's going in the toilet...... No more Ranger after 2008 model.
  15. TCAP had around 1400. Final numbers could take a week. Sorry - but where is LEP?
