  1. Build it! It already looks like Ford has production in mind. The license plate recess, standard badging, shark tail attenna, and even the cost saving 3 link rear suspension in lieu of an IRS unit are already in place. All they really have to do is make the bumpers crashworthy, add functioning door handles, and swap the 5.0L for a 4.6L 3V (maybe add the 4.0L or the long awaited RWD setup of the 3.5L as a base engine) and the Intercepter is ready to go. I think we are in fact looking at a thinly disguised production model. If not then off to Chevy I go! -Decade long Ford loyalist (3, count them 3 Fords in the driveway) ready to jump ship.
  2. The 4.4L Yamaha/Volvo would make a great powerplant for a 21st century SHO based on the AWD Fusion. The original SHO brought some praise to the Taurus line but was all but forgotten when the platform moved to Gen 3 and Gen 4. Bring back a class trim and a build a monster of a mid size family sedan. My SHO Fusion Exterior: Blacked out mesh style "nostril" grill Smoked headlamps, tail lamps (with color keyed trim accent in lieu of chrome) Color keyed deck lid finish (in lieu of chrome) Color keyed mirrors Ground effects kit Rear lip spoiler with integrated LED CHMSL 18 inch chrome six spoke wheels Dual three inch chrome exhaust SHO logo on trunk with FUSION imprinted into rear bumper Interior Darked brushed aluminum center stack and door finish Black leather with color keyed accent stiching Brushed aluminum door brush plates with SHO logo White faced guages SHO floor mats SHO embossed into the seats Color Availibility Black Redfire White Silver True Blue Grabber Orange
  3. I thought it was done for with the CX-7 arriving? Article says 2008/2009 Mazda Tribute Hybrid will still be selling with Escape and Mariner. Read it for yourselves: http://www.blueovalnews.com/index.php?cate...2_articleid=241
  4. Why Ford why must you uglify? Better get an F-150 before they mess that up too.
  5. Any driving impressions of a RWD F-150 in light/medium snow and all conditions of ice? Is it the same, better (not bloodly likely), worse (my hypothesis), or simply a way to save money? Moving to Missouri and I'd like something with legs. Looking at a 2006 F-150 Supercad XLT 4x4 or should I go with the RWD and save a bag of green? -Danger
  6. 5.5 because I may be tight on space. Not planning on doing major offroading. Occassional camping and light offroad. I worried the RWD model will slosh around too much in the snow and ice in Missouri. Any thoughts on RWD in those conditions?
  7. Hello All, I'm a frequent reader of the boards, had a screen name a long time ago but haven't spoken much. My girldfriend and I are about to move to St. Louis from Tucson. Looking for a truck to tow cross country and use daily. What caught my eye: 2006 F-150 XLT SuperCab, 5.5ft. bed, 5.4L V-8, 4x4 with Shift of the Fly Anyone have anything similar willing to share their thoughts, rants, or raves? Is the 4.6 adequate or should I just go for the 5.4? (need to tow 3500 pounds plus cargo in the bed). Anything new coming for 2007? -Danger Current Ride: 2000 Ford Taurus SES, 3.0 V-6 12v built in Chicago (Damn fine job Chicago!!!)
