  1. Seniority is only being used to get back in the door. First day back will be my new seniority. I took the 4/yr Ed buyout in 2007. Once I get back in I am hoping to apply for salaried positions that fit within my Degree.
  2. Received paperwork Friday, it lists CSP (28 openings), CAP (190 openings), LAP (250 openings), KTP (100 openings). It states "the job opportunities will be filled strictly by seniority". I am hoping my '94 senority might get me into my first selection.
  3. I have been offered rehire opportunity at four plants. I am being asked to rank the four plants 1-4. With 1 being most desirable. The plants are: 1. Chicago Stamping 2. Chicago Assembly 3. Louisville Assembly 4. Kentucky Truck I have never been to Chicago but after some research I have found the areas around the two Chicago Plants not very desirable. Also I am assuming Kentucky is a cheaper place to live and I am leaning towards LAP. Any of your opinions would help, like where do you Chicago workers live and am I assuming correctly that my earnings will go further in KY. Remember, I will be coming back as a new employee with a starting wage of $15.78/hour. Right now I am ranking 1. Chicago Stamping, 2. LAP, 3. KTP, 4. CAP
  4. Can anyone tell me when the old Michigan Truck Plant is opening for production? Who is eligible to transfer into MAP...is it WAP people first, then the ILO's?
  5. New one here! Jan 3 1995 cutoff to stay on 1 shift. However, MTP will not be going to one shift, the 2nd shift (nights) will be run exclusively with TFT's. TFT's were not brought in to cover people leaving on buyouts, they are being brought in to run the plant if UAW goes on strike in Sept.
  6. Your ignorant!! You don't, nor does any other YES voters, know what you have done. You probably voted your ass out onto Mich. ave. Outsourcing Janitors, dock work and skilled trades are only one small part of COA. How about outsourcing PAINT and ENGINE LINE and possibly BODY!! How many FORD employees do ya think they will need to run MTP if that happens, remember, you knuckleheads have given ford an open book to explore anything to save money. Maybe you can get a job shoveling that slush, but at $10.00 an hour. Congratulations MTP, You will be a mighty fine NON-UNION shop in the near future.
  7. Those aren't tft's, those were people who were in mat handling that went back to the line. They needed a few drivers back so they could let some mat. handling people leave on buyout.
  8. mat. handling had two told last night also. Any truth to the rumor that we will be laid off 1st week of march.
  9. your a fake, big country. I see you waited 21 minutes to reply to your alter ego "little country"
  10. How much before and after taxes? I'm leaving in may on the 4yr edopp. Just curious what's coming my way. Thanks.
  11. What's so disgusting about topless beaches? Is ford going to bring the Troller to the U.S. market?
  12. My stepfathers maid's cousin is friends with some BigWig at the glass house and he told her that the only Ford employees after 2008 will be working on the line at a FORD ASSEMBLY PLANT.
  13. Go on restriction. It's time to play hardball with these bastards!!
  14. It doesn't matter how many shifts. The 4 10 hour days is just 1 small part of COA. COA is mostly about outsourcing noncore jobs. I quote Jeff Washington "Nobody will have a smile on their face when we come to work after the 2007 contract"
  15. We are going to one shift! As for linda cash, she is in the process or already has left MTP. John Sovona assistant PM is taking over PM. COA is on the way soon.
