We were told our slap reps have made numerious calls to Greg Horton in labor and local 249's chairman , to only recieve no straight anwsers to the questions of when and how many. :shrug: :shrug:

I've done evrything from putting in itchy fiberglass backed headliners on my knees wih blisters popping on them 10 hrs a day, to shooting seat bolts bent over at a 60 degree angle, to breathing excessive paint fumes because of bad booth balance for almost 15 yrs with very seldom ever missing a days work, so i would invite anyone, young or old who thiks we are overpaid and underworked to just try it for one 10 hour shift. Dude, people who understand my post aren't blind or looking to force people to move out of the way or follow the union ways because it convenient. They just want to continue supporting their familys with fair pay for a hard ass day of work . Gen is a fair negotiated BENIFIT. I defenently don't consider the gen pool free money for sitting on ones ass.I consider it a fair way to keep my and my familys head above water untill they find another job with ford or elsewhere. I totally appritiate ford trying to make room for all of us in this unfortunate position , by giving people a VOLUNTARY insentive option to move on.......... No one is forcing anyone to do anything they don't choose to do. The way it looks to me is either your a salary worker or maybe your the one with blinders on? If ford is truley in finantial dispare, maybe they ought to lower the six figure salareys on the thousands of blue collar workers they payout, then no one would be laidoff and everyone could still suppport their familys on a fair amount of money.[ God forbid, they have to trade their jag for a mustang!

Dude, yoir dead ass on about the GEN and healthcare deal. Iv'e been saying that, ever sence ford started downsizing. You would'nt believe the amount of ford employees that argue this. Denial...Denial...Denial... This is one of the major reasons they are offering these packages. Think about it people, if there were a ton of our fellow brothers and sisters floatng around in gen, ford knows we would negotiate our damndest to keep gen alive. So ford figures if they keep the gen pool cleared out, we will just vote it away easilly, especially if their holding our healthcare benifits over our head. I personally am not ready to give up anything else our forfathers fought so hard to get for us. For example, Remember how they just told us, if we don't vote to postpone our raises they will have to close more plants than they were going to and add larger co pays to our retirees? WELL,IT PASSED AT A SUSPISIOUS 51% AND THEY STILL ADDED TO RETIREES AND CONTINUE TO ANOUNCE MORE PLANT CLOSIERS EVERY TIME WE TURN AROUND. I have called twice to make my payment and was told , they would send me out some paperwork to fill out to return with my payment.I still haven't recieved squat. You can bet monday , i will be raising hell.
