  1. I've got the Ford Black Rubber mats (Genuine Ford Part) and they are not as long as normal mats and I did check the mat and it isn't anywhere near the gas pedal. Fred
  2. I have a 2006 Mustang GT with Automatic transmission. About a month ago I was in drive thru line, in drive, brake on, waiting for my turn to move forward...suddenly the engine began racing, I held the brake down hard which kept me from moving but the RPMS kept increasing and the tires began squealing, I put the car in Park (instinct) and now the enging is red-lining so I turned the ignition off. I then restarted and it ran ok. It just happened 15 minutes ago, I was in my driveway, started the car, put it into reverse and with my foot on the brake I started to ease backwards when suddenly the enging begins to race! I again put it into park, now the engine beginning to red line as I then turn the ignition off! Restart and all is normal. Both times I was not touching the gas pedal. I've had the car since may 2006 and I'm calling the dealer service dept in the morning. Anyone have this happen to them? Ideas as what is the cause? thanks! Fred
  3. Thanks for the info, I'll probably upgrade them asap!
  4. I ordered and should be picking up my new 2006 Mustang GT in a couple weeks. I never asked about the included floor mats! What are the factory floor mats like? Are they carpeted or rubber? Any embroidery or logo? Can anyone upload a picture? thanks! Fred
  5. I have a 2006 Mustang GT on order with the factory Anti-Theft System. On the Ford "Build Your Vehicle" page I click for details of the Anti-Theft System. Here is one sentence of the description... "It includes a remote alarm sounder that let's you know that your vehicle has been tampered with" What do they mean by that? I've read the owner's manual but I haven't seen anything refering to a "remote alarm sounder" At first I thought the vehicle would send an alert to my key fob or something (in range) to let me know of a problem. This would be great but I have doubts that this is the case. thanks, Fred
  6. Ok, I'm confused! Has anyone recently ordered and received a new 2006 Mustang GT with 18 inch wheels? Did you order the 64E or the 64W wheels? Which one is the all chrome "bullitt" style? I ordered the 64E "Premium" wheels (not the chrome ones) BUT I've just seen a 2006 ordering guide that lists the 64E as the "Polished" wheels (I assume polished means chrome?) The dealer says they ordered the correct ones (64E) but I am wondering what I'll actually get! thanks, Fred  I may have answered my own question.... I was looking at a June 2005 ordering guide, I just found a November 2005 ordering guide and the descriptions have been swapped! The 64E are the "Premium" wheels and the 64W is the "Polished" chrome style. So unless the descriptions get swapped again I should get the right ones! Fred
