  1. I wish the best for everyone.. For all of us, those who are on the ship, and those who bailed, it's gonna be a rough ride.. Just remember, folks, they can take away your job, they can take away your money, they can take away your freedom.... Just keep your family close no matter what. They are what's important. Anyways.. Keep kicking ass. Don't let the ship go down without a fight! Even if you have to start your own union... :D Not that I'd suggest any kinda uprising .. Ford Products are the best when left to the EMPLOYEES to build. White collars have no clue. They really don't. You are the frontline and the backline in this war. I shall now part ways with this set of random ranting (or rambling).... Enjoy, and good luck to all again.. -- btw -- no, I'm not ever leaving this forum.. ever. :D
  2. Could ya possibly even the playing field a bit and post the numbers for Honda and Toyota? Oh, and hows about links to the source so I can get that info as well? tia
  3. Bravo, sir! :D It's about time someone approached these fools...
  4. Lol.. How true that is.. I wish I could say more... *siiiigh*
  5. That would be cool... Get the workload off those already-dying poor sprayers. I swear, that's the crappiest job ever. I know, I did it for a year.
  6. Forgot to mention they still kept the 2 guys who started same day who have total accumulated 3 medical visits and 4 lost attendance and 3 tardies. My guy never called off, and was never late.
  7. That's all fine and dandy till one of those tft/tpt's run across a lazy group leader with a big mouth. I witnessed that crap 1st hand, man. Left me very very bitter. btw - by 1st hand I meant the guy I was training got the boot due to a "bad mix" of Freestyles, and couldn't keep up without some support and a group "leader" decided to give the "stuporvisor" a piece of her mind and got the guy a bad rep with the one who reported him to labor relations. Next day, he was gone. No 89 days. 3 and 1/3 weeks, boom, gone. Hard job as is, harder with the "bad mix". He had the job down, I told the "stuporvisor" as so, but the GL had final say it appears.
  8. I would be actually just as pleased to receive my buyout check and be asked to come back as a tft/tpt.. At least I'd have the power and the choice to change my mind with no hurt other than what I've already had ... If that makes any sense...
  9. Most of those new hires are goofballs who don't seem too serious anyway. But, honestly, why should they? I really wouldn't expect to see any of them come back after this long layoff... Most of them are ineligible for unemployment. Chances are rather good they won't be sitting on their thumbs waiting to come back to get paid.
  10. Hmm.. There's rumors at CAP? LOL.. there's ALWAYS rumors at CAP. Take a trip to doorline and ask around what is the latest news... You'll get some rumors. I guarantee it. But - a lot of buyouts have been moved UP not down. I was a June 01, now possibly a Feb 23rd. And I know of a few others who have been moved up. Everyone expecting a buyout date, DO NOT take your committee person's word OR your supervisor's word. Check the board upstairs for the date! Or check Labor Relations.... I'd hate to see someone get fired and lose out due to misinformation. My advice - keep all your ducks in a row till you have check in hand. Then, we can throw our party! :D ... and I will, too.
  11. Heh.. I rolled the dice, we'll see how the numbers come up ... being as I'm getting certification for a profession and a nice start on a business venture in that profession, I think the odds are in my favor. Plus, I have a brain -- bonus!
  12. I landed a perfect 25 (George Bush) ...
  13. I quit cuz it's giving me opportunity, and yes, I did think it through. I am getting certification in IT-related sciences. I am already and have always been freelancing IT work on the side, and now I'll be doing it full time. Oh, and yes, I do understand that my pay will be much less. But the fact that my body will no longer be being destroyed on the line with the possibility of faster line speeds PLUS added work on an already damn near impossible job makes it all worth it. (Well, for me, at least).... I've torn myself up enough. I've got so much more to say, but only after I'm well on my way into my life shall I impart such wisdom.
  14. Unfortunately, I think the logic has disappeared. In the few years I've been aboard, I have seen none, but those close to retirement do impart unto me the stories of the "old days" when things were logical.
  15. Hello, a Chicagoan here... Here are some things I'd like to add... 1) Clue in the Supervisors as to what's really going on. Having uninformed supervisors is not good. 2) Hows about the big executives make unannounced visits? Why come by and NOT let CAP know you're coming, get the real picture, and clean house? 3) Hows about actually saving money, instead of SAYING they're going to? They save money on stuff that'll shoot the product down the tubes, then splurge on things that do nothing more than sit there and look pretty. Just my 2 cents.
  16. umn, yea.. I started reading your... uhh.. I dunno what that is.. Have you ever heard of periods or commas? But just judging from your title, let me clue you in on a few things.. 1) I am not a "quitter". I have found a way to start my life the way I want it. I have skills outside of the plant, and I intend on using them. I am not quitting work, rather, I am allowing myself to be independent. 2) You really should learn how to intelligently express yourself if you're intending on a class action lawsuit. Using run-on sentences and all caps typing isn't going to get you too far. Sorry for sounding so snotty, but you really came across to me as rather unintelligent. <snip> <snip>
