REALLY? I'm shocked that you say that, only because out of 10 cars 7 are fords usually when I got places. The Expeditions, Excursions and Trucks are big over here. I swear I see fords everywhere I go. I just wont say hubby works for non american :gang: But well all started with Ford and will all still be a ford family. Funny thing is hubby is Service Manager for honda yet we own nothing but fords. haha :happy feet:

Sounds like you drove my car LOL I think my sticker is somewhere in the $51000. Where are you located to be so lucky to test drive one? I have to extend my lease on the 4th so I am hoping it comes before then. I bet yours is probably getting ready to be sent out if what I was told for the zone rep is true. You will have to let us know when you get yours. Mine was also getting ready to be put on the rail so hopefully we both get lucky. I have a friend who swears she knows someone in California that she got hers last friday, I find that HIGHLY unlikely. Anyway, I guess we sit tight and wait and I am sure it will be worth it. I am thankfull that they are trying to resolve all issues before it gets to the dealer cause I sure dont want my new EL sitting at the service department. The only thing is look at the recall date. I dont think this will effect us, or hope not. Well Thank God I got the 20's on mine.

Well, we just talked to our zone rep and she said as of 2 or 3 days ago they just started releasing them. So hopefully my EL will arrive in the next week or 2. SUcks that we are so far from the plant that it takes longer for us to get them. Oh well I know it will be worth my wait, least now I kinda know whats going on.

Ok so I just got off the phone with Ford and I was told that shipment was called back on ALL Expedition El's and no known ETA. WTH is going on? Is there something seriously wrong with the car? I tell you this, this is very frustrating. I am in a lease that is over in miles and was due back at the beginning of the month so everyday that I wait I am losing money. i am a VERY loyal Ford customer but the new Suburban is starting to sound good if these things arent going to be here soon. Does anyone have any insight as to what is going on and how long it may take. Thanks :shrug:

Thats awesome that they are being so careful, love to hear that. My only question that we are trying to figure out is why or what does it mean to have the built SUV's in storage? I'm glad mine was the one that got shipped and not held but who knows when it will get here since I am in SoCal and that is real far from MTP...

My Mom who is the owner's secretary at the dealership I am buying from called and they said that they are slowly releasing them. Checking them very closely for any problems which I think is awesome. I guess the reason why mine is the only one showing shipped is because it had the priority of 10 so I will get the 1st one. I'm hoping to see it this week sometime. I also heard that full shipment will be late October for regular stock cars. If I am wrong hopefully someone can state the correct info. :blah:

I was just told by my Ford Dealer that all the EL's ordered were put in storage. Why is this and is something wrong? What's weird is mine says delivery date September 18th and all the other say storage. They are going to call Ford but I thought I would ask here too. Thanks guys :shrug:

Any word on when the new 07 Expedition EL will hit the stores? I am dying to see what they look like. The one I ordered is supposed to be delivered on Monday the 18th. I hope this is true... Also has anyone driven the new EL? How is the power? Does the trans shift smoothly? I had a rental 06 Expedition this past weekend and it shifts really rough and I hope it was just this one. Also how is the leg room, better or worse than the old model? Thanks

ohhhh sounds nice. Looks like we got the same options. I cant wait, I have never gotten a car this loaded before. My 03 Expy is just an XLT with the moonroof and roll bags. What did your MSRP come out too? Mine was $51000 something. I am waiting on the invoice to see how much the employee discount is, I hope Its a good discount!!!

Thanks for the info. Its kinda cool that we will have the 1st ones out there but the wait sucks. I ordered miine July 17th. I wonder if mine took longer because I got the DVD Nav, the DVD player and every other stinking option? I am like a little kid counting down to Christmas!!! So what did you get? Color? When are the new 2007 supposed to hit the dealer lots? I have one on order and the build date is supposed to be the 6th of September but I was wondering when the actual launch date is? Anyone know? Thanks :happy feet:
