Oh I LOVE it!!!!!!! It rides so much higher, cant compare the two though. The Expy was more luxury were as the Excursion is a truck!!! No problems at all (knock on wood) I am getting it tinted this weekend, going to get the real towing mirrors and add an 05 grille to it!!!! I love how much more room I have in it too. I can say that it doesnt handle as well but I knew that. Oh and it sure doesnt stop like the EL, I learned that REALLY quick!!! We took it off-roading this weekend and had a blast. It really does well off-roading. I never could see myself taking an EL limited off-roading, to luxurious!!!

Diesel is over $5 here and regular is $4.59 at Sams Club... YUCK I tell ya!!!!!!! I drove some freeway distance today and got 17 mpg actual!!! Not bad for a V10 1ton SUV

I called Sirius today to cancel and they are sending me a free radio and free installation in the Excursion!!!!!!! I am so excited because I love my sirius and out here in the canyons you dont get regular FM radio!!!

It had 65,000 miles and came with a warranty. yes I got the V10, diesel prices scared the crap out of me...

$14K I think it was a good deal. I looked at a few that were all the same year and this was the cheapest. Some people wouldnt budge with their prices and this guy gave it to me for 2k less than asking price. I got it certified by ford and a warranty.

Well, I was sad to turn it in but I am happy with my choice!!! I got an 03 Excursion Limited 4x4. I do miss a lot of things about the EL but I couldnt stand my trans issues. I think I miss my nav and stereo the most!!! Thats an easy fix, I do love the truck feel and I forgot how much bigger the Excursion was... Does BOF have an Excursion forum? Here you go A/C - Poor Seat Cooling Performance Notes TSB 07-22-4 11/12/07 POOR SEAT COOLING PERFORMANCE - BUILT BEFORE 7/16/2007 FORD: 2007-2008 Expedition LINCOLN: 2007-2008 Navigator This article supersedes TSB 07-15-5 to update the Service Procedure. ISSUE Some 2007-2008 Expedition and Navigator vehicles built before 7/16/2007 and equipped with climate control seats, may exhibit poor cooling performance in the seat. ACTION Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition. SERVICE PROCEDURE Verify there are no diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) and that the thermal emitting device and fan assemblies are working properly. Then use IDS to select the Maximum Output Mode. This will increase fan speed to provide quicker cooling. 1. Using IDS (equipped with release B51.5 or higher) normally ID the vehicle. 2. Select "Toolbox" at the top of the screen. 3. I have an 07 but the Build date was Aug or July 06 and I have no wind noise with the mirrors. I wonder what the difference is.

My Mustang has a lot of wind noise! just Kidding!!! Yes a lot of cars so have the wind noise, our 06 F150 was pretty bad too. You might be right on the seat track, I thought I had something stuck in there first. I usually never move my seat since I am so tall, I just keep it back as far as possible!

Jason I am glad to hear they are going to at least fix those concerns. I would try out the third dealer, you might be surprised by there customer service!!! I hope everything stays fixed for you...

Exactly, dont be hostile be buddy buddy and you will go far! Dont deal with a service writer or ASM go directly to the Service Manager or even the GM if need to.

I think he should make a complaint to the Ford Rep.

Jason, you have already gotten some good advice. I also have the A/C seat issue but only with the drivers seat and it was NPF'ed a year ago. My drivers seat is also loose but I figured since its a lease and gone soon. That ASM is plain old rude and should not have treated you like that. Next time talk with the Service Manager not the ASM. My husband is a Service Manager and he goes out of his way to treat everyone (no matter how many complaints you have) like gold! I could probably get you in touch with a person from Ford if need be. Where are you located?

It's up in October but we are getting out of it as soon as I find an Excursion for the right price.

I am 150% for real!!! I have had some dumb luck with this Expedition. I lost count as well, its sad that I have had this many problems and it did drive me away from the Expedition and owning a new SUV for a while.

I was out driving today and while going straight approx 40 MPH i noticed the RSC light flashing. A few seconds later I had to merge right onto another road, when I went to brake slightly I had NO BRAKES. So while I was freaking out I started pumping the brake and the light went off and I had brakes again. Has this ever happened to anyone before? The road conditions are perfect, no lane changes and not speeding. The only thing I have ever noticed is the brakes feel soft or take a while to respond, I guess thats how to explain it.

This is EXACTLY what happened to our EL last year. We could barely go 35 and the trans was just struggling. Hmmmmmm Glad I am holding off on buying a trailer till I get my Excursion!! I agree going 35 on the freeway is scary and embarassing with a brand new (at the time) SUV that should have no problem towing!! I feel sorry for whoever buys mine when the lease is up.

I just got a call from my Mom who works at a dealership out here in Southern California and some guy from Ford is out here showing off the Flex to the local dealers. She got to sit in it and play with all the features. She is 6'3 and sat in the second row and with the seat all the way back she still had tons of leg room!!! She said the nav system is awesome new features and she said the sound was great. The Vista sunroof was nice with the screen in place. She said it was bigger than what she expected and much more comfortable than the Edge.

From what I remember reading they are different. I really hope it is different as I have had such bad luck with it.

Well, I have a wholesaler who is going to be at an Auto Auction tomorrow and will hopefully be getting me an Excursion. I am happy to finally be getting rid of the EL only because of the poor trans. I do hope in a few years Ford gets the better engines and the tranny issue figured out, then I would be glad to buy an EL. I am hoping he finds me either an 4x4 03 Ex 7.3 or an 4x4 05 V10, not sure if I want to touch the 6.0 diesel.

4/32 which is where I am now. I am still debating on either getting the ones I have warrantied or get some cheap used ones.
