  1. Because I want a new product like Sync and what ever else will be offered on the 09.
  2. Yes they make me all warm and fuzzy!!!
  3. I did a lemon law back in 97 and it wasnt bad, but that was because it was a big time lemon. The mustang was seriously 2-3 inches longer on one side and it had a lot of problems. I am hoping to order the 09 Expy in August anyway.
  4. From what I remember a lemon law does count against the dealer, not that its a big deal for me. My Mom's boss actually has said I should lemon law it!!! But like I said before I want to wait for the 09's. Now if the Expy gets really bad to were it will put my family in danger than bye-bye Expy... Until then I will drive it till its dead on the road.
  5. Troll, funny huh??? My tranny is bad, but I do not want an 08. I want to see what is going to be on the 09's be for I make that choice. I know it sounds weird that I am not getting rid of it, but I don't want to waste anymore money and not be happy. Yes I posted about the fuel railing, it will be recalled in march I believe. Mine actually had the cracked hose that they are recalling.
  6. Well, that's not me... I believe the other guy you were having an agrument with was DirtyRed (I think). I would never curse some one out on a public message board, but you did come off strong to many of us because we had a complaint about our car. Just because I do not take my car in ever second I have a problem does not make me lazy. I used to be a service adviser and can not stand the people who complain over ever little thing and I refuse to be like that. Feel pissed for me, that's fine. I wont lose sleep over it that is for sure.
  7. First of all you and I have never traded IM's, I think you have me mixed up with someone else. The reason I am not holding the dealer accountable is due to the fact that my Mother is the owners secretary and I really do not want any problems for the dealer. They all know I have issues and have told me I could lemon law it BUT I do not want an 08, so I decided to hold onto my Expy till the 09's come out. They do know that if any serious issue arises than I will do something about it, but I doubt ford will put me in a rental till the 09's come out!! I also understand that not all cars are going to be perfect, just like NOT all people are perfect! I just wrote in asking if something has happened to others, just like the fuel leak, I want to know that I am not alone and losing my mind!!! I am not taking it in because I know what will happen, a big fat NPF!!! I have learned with ANY service department that if your problem isnt happening 80% of the time you are most likely screwed.
  8. NPF!!! Techs are famous for that one!!!! That is why I wait till its dead!!!!
  9. That is how I met my husband, at the ford dealer. I used to be a service adviser right till we got married so I am definitely into cars. But I got it from my Mom who has worked for a ford dealer since her 20's. ) Good luck with getting your girlfriend on board!!
  10. Thank you!!! I love cars, better yet ford cars/trucks!!! I do know that there is always gonna be a lemon in a bunch. I always get excited when I see loyal ford people like myself. My kids are already becoming Ford fans!!! I take a lot of pride in what I drive and I think I take better care of my cars then my house!!! Can't wait to get an 09!!!
  11. I am going too, I am not to picky about my ride quality as long as it isnt jumping all over the road.
  12. I am so glad I am not the only one!!! Thank God!!! Guess we just wait and see what happens, hopefully never again!!!
  13. I used to work for a ford dealership and that is actually great for Ford brakes. Some people go through them every 12,000 miles. 35K is actually very normal. Resurfacing the rotors is always better than just putting the pads on.
  14. I took it out a few times this past weekend and it doesn't seem to be when its cold, more when you are driving slow and shift to a higher gear? It could be the clutch being noisy? I don't know, its not bad and if you drive it a bit harder it shifts perfect so I will wait and see. I have a maintenance warranty so no worries if its the clutch!!! As for the backfire, I wonder if it could be running a little rich. Maybe from sitting so long and not being driven. I also wanted to ask, does everyone put 87 octane in their GT mustangs or would a higher octane be better? My older mustang I though used to take a higher octane.
  15. Today I started backing out of my driveway and after I rolled to the bottem and gave it some gas it just reved like I was in nuetral. I checked and I was in Reverse, so I put it back in park then to reverse again and nothing. I pulled back up the driveway to see if I had any gears and it was fine after that. It does seem to be shifting funny now, so I dont know what is going on. All I keep hoping it that this thing would just make it till Sept. Has anyone had any issues with reverse?
  16. So the more psi the better MPG??? I don't know why but I have never heard that. I do know that if they are low you will get bad mpg!!! Hmmm maybe I will pump mine up a little...
  17. It's a brand new 2007 Mustang. Got a great deal for it plus 1.9 financing compaired to the 5.9 on the 08!!!
  18. Funny, the cracked fuel rail was what happened to my Expy a few months ago.
  19. WASHINGTON -- Ford Motor Co. said Monday it was recalling more than 180,000 sport utility vehicles and vans in two separate recalls to fix interior door handles and faulty fuel hoses. Nearly 124,000 Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator SUVs from the 2007-2008 model years are to be recalled this month because their door handle spring systems could break. A spokesman for the Dearborn, Mich.-based automaker said that in a side crash there could be a risk of the door latch opening because of the problem. More than 57,000 E-150, E-250 and E-350 vans from 2006-2007, and 2007 Expedition and Navigator SUVs with 5.4 liter engines will be recalled in March. Fuel rail crossover hoses in the vehicles could crack and potentially lead to a fire.
  20. Thank you, the Mustang is a 4.6 GT.
  21. Yep that would be one of my boys, they seem to always appear in my pictures.
  22. From what I remember when we did the oil changes on our 03 it would only take 5.5 qts...
  23. Your humor is much better than what some do!!! Would much rather have humor than cold A$$... This is our 3rd mustang and I dont recall them ever doing this. I am going to pay more attention to it, then when I take my Expy in for some recalls I will have them drive it with me. Thanks for your input!!! :stats:
  24. It does seem to happen more when cold. I will have to pay attention to it more. No way would I leave any of my cars at the dealer to sit, and I used to work there. I noticed today when I took it out to the store, it back fired a bit in first gear... hmmmmm This car sat on the dealer lot for almost 10 months so I know it will probably have some issues. Thannks for your response.
