The company sat back in the 90's counting their cash from thier lucky streak on the hot truck market. they should have been designing a car that would sell...Remember Nasser saying that the Tbird, Cougar tempo topaz and escort line were not the ford Motor companys core business? they might not have been breaking sales records but at least they were steady sales. 2. Piss poor managment reigns supreme at Ford...always has and apparently always will (Mullaly...come on?!?) 3. All of the cuts, layoffs, Buyouts GEN or TLO's in the world against the people who actually do the work will not help them if they cant design a car that sells. 4. Washington DC needs a swift kick in the ass for not having better legislation protecting American business 5. The Ford Upper managment need to quit worrying about Wall Street and build a product pleasing to the customer. Piss on Wall Street...They are in the same bed as the Bush Administration in wishing our American hourly/salary jobs right out the door to China!

That is the good news and bad news about the security of the UAW agreement. It is good you can work pretty much as long as you want and still get a pension, however when you see guys staying 35, 40, and 50 years it gets a little frustrating! Move on out...and give the young worker a chance!

I must say I have been visiting the website for some time now, never having joined until today. It is really amazing to see uawworker going for the jugular against what would appear to be fellow union memebers. I was even more surprised to see him air out the wizards dirty laundry...The wiz has done a great job to let us know of things and provide us a nice forum to talk. Sure it might not be exactly how it happens but gives way to great discussion. What is the problem of uawworker?? I do smell lemons and sour grapes also!
