  1. Numistay: I definitely know who Elizabeth Warren is and yes I respect her financial expertise. You should watch a recent PBS (frontline) documentary on the fees of stocks because this gave a lot of insights on what fees are being charged to investors without their complete knowledge. "The Retirement Gamble". TESPHE and SSIP do run very differently but at the same time, you have a match which is way better than TESPHE even if there were fees. Am I correct that the company is still matching $1/$1? You are right when the stock is going up it does not seem to matter to most, but fees of $2500.00 is absolutely absurd! To those with TESPHE most investors would say not to invest in your own companies stock when it does not have a match but it is doing rather well as of late so that would be a tough decision. This divisiveness in the stock holdings between salaried and hourly is something that I never understood?

Daniel J. Pohorence, 42 of Amherst, went home to be at peace with the Lord during the second week of April, 2012.

Dan was born in Lorain, Ohio on Dec. 4, 1969 and was a life long resident of Amherst. He graduated from Marion L. Steele High School and JVS in 1988. He was a long time employee of Ford Motor Company in both Lorain and Avon Lake, Ohio. He was a true believer and proud member of the former Local 425 UAW and Local 2000 UAW unions.

Dan's family and friends will have countless fond memories of his many interests. He loved to garden with his mother. He spent hours restoring vintage bicycles. Dan was also an avid Cleveland Indians fan and enjoyed all sports. He loved the outdoors and spent many happy moments fishing and camping with his son D.J. His son was the love of his life. He loved the company of his family and all his nieces and nephew.

Dan is survived by his son Daniel (D.J.) Pohorence of Vermilion, Ohio; his mother LaRita Pohorence of Amherst, Ohio; his father and step mother Michael (Sharon) Pohorence of Wellington, Ohio; sister Cynthia (David) Dickel of Vermilion, Ohio; brothers, Jerry (Susan) Pohorence of Huron, Ohio, Patrick (Bonnie) Pohorence of Amherst, Ohio, and Larry Bishop of Charlotte, North Carolina; nieces, Megan, Emily, Sophie, and Grace Pohorence and Jadeyn Dickel; nephew Jordan Dickel; several aunts and uncles as well as many cousins.

Dan was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Jack and Sarah Lockard; by paternal grandparents Michael and Joan Pohorence; and by paternal uncle Jerry Pohorence.

The immediate family wishes to extend their heart felt appreciation to all their extended family and friends who offered support and condolences during this very difficult time.

In order to meet the needs of the family, services will be held privately followed by internment at Crownhill Cemetery, Amherst, Ohio.

If you wish to make a contribution in Dan's memory the family would like to suggest it be given to Road of Hope, PO Box 211, Elyria, Ohio 44036. www.road/to/hope.org

Danny was a sweetheart of a guy and will be sorely missed!

So Sorry to hear about another young person dying from the U.A.W. team, prayers go out to this members family and loved ones.

  3. The team leader rules. He orders us brooms,

then tells management his team can clean cause he got

Us brooms, he walks away a hero!

LMAO LMAO, so funny and so true. Both the comments General were so frickin funny : ) I swear they could make a reality tv series on just the DTP alone!!

  4. Chucky you KNOW there is much more to it than what you are saying. I will agree you never had attendance problems but I also know for a fact you have more than one incident on your disciplinary record for insubordination etc...What about all the times you were making false claims against the company with the state and osha for fake safety violations? What about slandering members of labor relations and the union by name in this forum? What about fake medicals?. You phave pissed and moaned about how you hate the Union etc yet you NOW expect them to expedite your getting back into ford after you mocked and ridiculed all sides...How high are you? LOL...Remember the saying " Dont bite the hand that feeds you?"....You deserve this..although I think you should get another chance someday. Maybe you will appreciate your job more and shut your mouth when or if you ever come back

Although I do not know this Chucky guy he has the right to speak under the First Amendment along with the so called peaceably assemble part. Biting the hand that feeds him, might not be the right thing to do but it is a union shop and sometimes its own members don't agree with what the leaders of its members are doing. He/She has that right to voice it period. Insubordination, give me a break, you must be new because there were a lot of back and forth fights between supervisors and hourly back in the day....it was a union shop and was expected, no one should get their feelings hurt over it, it happens. Safety violations are plentiful in all factory settings, it comes with the territory. What do you care if labor relations is slandered unfairly, unless you are under the desk with them. Dues are paid monthly, it is their JOB to represent, anything less would be in violation of their rights as a dues paying member. We can all call them #ssholes and they still have to represent. I am not saying they should call them out of their name but I'm sure members get frustrated. People go into work not always having a perfect day.

  5. Good post...

Both of you good posts. This election is probably the most important election to keep the working class moving in the right direction. I can't believe there are still those as union members voting for the other side. How can anyone vote for Mitt when he clearly said "NO" to the autos. I get it, tax payer money but a No to the autos is a NO to the working class union members plain and simple. Again, Gov. Snyder in Michigan said, RTW hasn't reached his desk yet. But why would he say that? To me he was asking for it to reach his desk. He said it would be "divisive" but he never said he would not sign it if it reached his desk. I listened to his speech carefully. He is tricky Ricky with his words.

  6. The State House Committee up in Lansing passed labor bills limiting strikes and dues collections. This legislations would add county and municipal employees to the law that prohibits public school teachers from striking and set steep fines for public sector strikes and lockouts. It would make it easier for the employers to get an injunction to stop picketing and to require employers to get annual permission to collect union dues. The pac was approved by the House and Oversight Reform and Ethics Committee by a Republican from Rochester Hills (yeah, like he's a guy that represents working class people from working class neighborhoods, fat chance!) This bill would still have to be passed by both the House and the Senate (majority Republican, awful) and then signed by Gov. Snyder ® who said just last week that no legislation has ended up on his desk yet (how shocking that it will end up on his desk only a week later and he knew nothing about it! ).

Wow, and to think this guy was touting its all about jobs and getting people back to work in Michigan while screwing with the people that have jobs. My question is who would want to ever work in the public sector if this happens?

Do I think this is going to pass? With a majority of Republicans, you better believe it? Do I think they will turn to private, maybe. Do I think the IUAW better start thinking about those who they represent, absolutely! Is this headed toward Right to Work for Less, yes. Do the union members feel that the Company has totally BS them in getting an unfair contract using the old "We are not competitive" Do we feel the IUAW listened to what the company said and forced this total BS contract down the throats of its members, HELL YES! Guess what if this is the language, the IUAW could not even get the strike signs ready because there would be no strike if the bill is made into law. Now what?

If this bill goes to the private sector which if they are competing with states like Indiana who just passed the bill, it will go to the private and the IUAW will have to ask the same people that did not get their raise, cola, xmas, etc back in this latest contract to SIGN HERE FOR UNION DUES (permission only please). Now what? Seriously, now what?

Before a bunch of people slam me, I am not for this, totally and 100% against this. I imagine the future and all those people who were wishful thinkers and thought they were doing the company and IUAW a favor by remaining competitive in their wages only to be screwed over, not once but TWICE!!!!! We can't blame the hard working union members but we can put blame where it should be.

  7. We have had this argument before...Like I told you then I have as much education as you. Why the superiority complex stang? You sit here and SAY you support the UAW and its workers then you make this statement??? WOW the sense of superiority and entitlement over the average line worker you say you have in this statement LOL..PS I know who you are and you are a peon...People laugh at you.. I see your fat a%^ at work all the time and know you personally to be honest. And I know she is communist because she TOLD ME and we have discussed it many times..You realize the "SPARK" paper she is handing out is communist???? wow what arocket scientist you are..or your a liar and dont really know but just want to argue. Question..Why would a lady who IS NOT COMMUNIST take time out to sit in the cold etc and handout a communist publication like the spark states it is(google it)??????? Is that enough facts for you mr educated?? LOL...Nice to know your TRUE feelings about your employees and the former UAW brethren...You should be ashamed of yourself

Sorry you can't possibly see me all the time, that is literally impossible period. Second, you have no idea who I am because you keep referring me to persons who I am not. Btw, I have no weight issue at all, actually I have been called slim on more than one occasion. I don't feel this way about any employee, only you. Yes, I do know Marty personally and if she said she was a commie she is just not willing to fight with someone that is as stupid as you are. What about my former U.A.W brethen?? That I clearly do not understand?? Is this to tell me once again that I am salaried, you can give up on that because I am not : ) Rocket scientist, maybe, my degree has a science element to it that is for sure. Listen, don't work to hard and get your panties in a bunch, it is not worth the argument. You have a nice life. I am enjoying mine.

Stang you THINK you are much smarter than you are...MORON!

Sorry, I like facts so show me or tell me why you think she is a communist. What exactly makes her a commie? No, I think your the Asshole because while your there working your ass off, I'm sitting on my butt watching you work your ass off : ) Angry are we DTP Nick sorry, education will make things a whole lot easier my friend. 9. According to the Detroit News there is a new bill being heard in the house that could lead to a law that would require annual approval to withhold union dues from an employees paycheck. "The law would require that employees to be notified annually of their right to (opt out) of paying union dues. " The Gov.. said" there hasn't been a bill on his desk for the right to work, yet, and that he didn't want this to turn into Ohio or Wisconsin", but my question is if you opt out of paying union dues would that not make you an "at will worker" sort of speak?? I know the union still would have to represent the worker but at what cost.? Why would a union bargain for one person who pays dues and one who doesn't. Isn't this a round about way of "Right to Work" without paying dues?? Btw, this is not only for public employees, this is also for private. Will you see a number of workers opt out from the recent news of salaried increases (they have no union), while the hourly workers (long term employees got none)? Will this lead to the union bargaining in the best faith for its seniority workers because after all, the union will try to fight harder for those for fear some workers could easily opt out?

  10. Ive talked to her MAny times and she will tell you straight out she is a communist(Trotskyist) No one is being offensive calling her a "Commie" when she calls herself one lol...The Spark is a commie paper in case your too stupid to figure it out.....

No one is forcing you to read her spark paper, I will call her up and see if she calls herself a commie. Being that her profession is an educator, I think you might be full of BS as usual. I think you need some help Nick. You know her professional PHD is in psychology, so maybe she can help you....then again, some might not be able to be fixed.

  11. I'm looking for some advice and direction from my union brothers and sisters so that I can get some resolution to constant harrassment and threats made toward me since I transferred from Michigan out west in 2007. I'm a 22 yr. employee and come from a plant of 1900 that was closed. I understand the workings of the union, the representatives responsibilities, the politics and Ford policy. I have entered a facility that follows no coherent rule or policy when it comes to the shop floor or cutting back room deals with management. I'm frustrated with HR and their lack of support when I bring them legitimate complaints. The latest confrontation has pushed me over the edge and I am determined to find a resolution, so I am turning to those who I think can help, my union brothers and sisters back in the zone of union rules and accountability. Here's my issue:

Myself and a fellow transfer asked for a particular DAY OFF (personal time) a month in advance. We were both denied by mngmnt. because it was a MANDATORY 9 hr. work day. The union Chairman was asked to intervene. He came back and said the day was blocked for EVERYONE so the time would NOT be granted. Case closed in my opinion. When the day came, our union Chairman personally worked on the floor to help a "friend" finish his work in 2 hrs. They both left the building at 7pm while myself and the other employee who had asked for the time off were forced to stay till 10:30pm , the FULL 9 hrs. This was a deal worked out with the supervisor. Everyone involved, from the supervisor to the Chairman were well aware that we had asked and been denied the time off. Both myself and the other employee have MORE SENIORITY than the employee who left with the Chairman. In addition to this, another "friend" of the Chairman was AWOL on this day. Discussions the following day with the plant mngr. about WHY an employee was allowed to leave when we were told it was MANDATORY resulted in "it never should have happened and my supervisors have been talked to" along with the assurance that ANYONE who missed the mandatory work day would not be granted personal time after the fact. They would be marked AWOL. As you have probably already guessed, the AWOL for the "friend" who never showed for work was changed to E-time on the DROT the following week. So the day was mandatory and unavailable for myself and another employee a month in advance yet given to another employee who is a "friend" of the Chairman after not bothering to even show up! The Chairman also cut a deal with mngmnt. to work on the floor and leave early with another "friend" and union member. I hope everyone can see my frustration and understand my anger.

The other employee reported this to HR the following week. This resulted in the UAW Chairman confronting ME on the floor, in front of other union members just minutes into my shift. I won't go into all the details but I will say that he was threatening, hostile and aggressive. He was yelling at me about him getting in some type of trouble and said (among other things) "I'm just sayin - you'd better shut your f***ing mouth!" I immediately told him not to threaten me. Yes, this is MY union Chairman!

My question after this incident is how exactly do I handle this? I spoke with HR about the threat and they have yet to even follow up with statements from the people who were standing there when it happened. Are there any other avenues that I can pursue? I have NEVER been threatened by a union official in my entire time as a UAW member. I refuse to accept this treatment from anyone. Let me just say that this is NOT the first incident of harrassment in this facility, nor will it be the last I'm sure, but I'm determined to bring some accountability when I can. I would appreciate any and all comments and guidance in regards to what direction I should take.

The UAW code of Ethics clearly states that any and all union members have the right to freely criticize the policies and personalities of union officials.

    Thanks to all...

My best advice to you is to go on the UAW for department facebook which it looks to me like a lot of union reps read and voice this same complaint on that site.....this will get the ball rolling. Beware some of those same threatening jerks work for the I.U.A.W, I know one such person who is a regional rep. He set up his cuties constantly. No seniority was ever valued and an equalization sheet (this guy never heard of one) yet he was the Chairman of the plant. Let your local know immediately, if nothing goes, let international know. Harassment should not be tolerated by the representatives that represent you.

  12. Anyone seen the Commie Lady who hangs out by the Rouge lately? Or does her Marxist spirit take her to Florida in the winter?

I can't believe they hire people like you to work in the Rouge, honestly?? She is a teacher so she is probably teaching classes if you don't see her spending her endless efforts for the better cause of the hourly employees. What makes her a Marxist, her endless fight against corporations, her voice for the people who she cares about the most, the ones who work hard on the production line, or just the fact that she smiles and tells those going out and into the plant to have a nice day. She has written a lot of things about people being terminated for unjust cause, you my friend should of made it on that list for just cause (just being STUPID).

  13. Ever wonder where the child support you pay goes? I know I do, and for as much as I pay out for some reason my kids still have to ask me for the things they need. With my $4.50 an hour job, I scrimp and saved enough cash to file a case with the state of Ohio to force accounting for where exactly my children's support is going. I pay way above and beyond what is mandated by the courts. It's hard to do on my income. LOL ( Maybe I can get a loan from Skilled1, he makes $77 an hour according to the Detroit Press. )

I requested to either have the support audited, or to name a third party trustee to administer their support to see to it that my children get it. Either way if the judge does not except my suggestions, I challenged her to find an unconventional means to accomplish the same goal. And ask she send a clear message to women living here that Child support is not an alternative to working.

I know there are allot of people within the Ford system that have been burnt because of this, and I am considering a petition drive to correct this terrible burden being imposed on divorced men. I would gladly have taken my kids full time and would have seen to it that they received the support they needed, However my ex wife would not let go of her paycheck whilingly. She isn't even smart enough to balance a check book, and has defaulted on nearly every loan she has taken, both personal, and private. Has a high dollar cell phone, and the kids go without shoes till I buy them.

I know it's not all women, so I don't want to sound like I am bashing women. However this practice is way to common to be ignored.

Do they seriously think this an up to date story of how this man is paying child support on $4.50 hr.? First, I don't know anyone who makes this low pay unless you are illegal. Second, you slept with this person. Having your less than 30 second satisfaction sometimes comes at a big cost, use protection. Third, child support has to pay for a roof over your child's head (no fault of their own that their parents couldn't work it out). Then consider the cost to maintain what they once had and still continue to need to have close to a decent life minus one parent being there all the time...school activities cost, lunches cost, clothes cost, new shoes cost, hair cut cost, medication cost, doctors visits cost, sports cost, gas to drive them back and forth, and so many other things that come up. Go back to court and fight for custody if you want them so badly. No court will let you revisit paying a lower amount based on your wages EVER. If you had a lot of overtime the previous year, sign in bonuses, profit sharing, this all is in the equation.

I agree with you that child support should not be a way to support herself, however, family court rules on the fact that she can stay at home as long as she is in charge of taking care of the children's well being no matter what. The court system feels that is her job, whether she is paid or not. If they are small and not yet in school, the court will never find in favor of putting children in a childcare setting environment instead of their own parent unless the parent is unfit.

They grow up so fast....18 is here before you know it. I remember our father complaining about the same things as my mother struggled to keep it together. You don't want your children to remember that fight between you and your ex. Believe me you don't. I understand your plight, truly I do, but your children will later grow up to think you were fighting against them and not just their mother. I'm sure you are a wonderful father but stay positive especially around your children. They surely did not ask for this to happen and unfortunately some stay troubled into their adult life after the fallout of their parents.

  14. A bill is pending in the Indiana legislature that would make Indiana a Right to Work State.Wisconsin already passed such a law {excluding firefighters and police} and Ohio is considering a Right to Work Law.Republican Governors in all these states would surely sign the bill if it makes it to their desks.Governor Snyder has no such option yet but he has started a new tax on pensions as well as a new tax on Medical Billing transactions but Republicans dont raise taxes?Question is,if,,,if,,,Michigan became a Right to Work State would you opt out of paying union dues?I`ll go first---I would stay UAW and pay dues.Do you see how voting Republican does not help the UAW negotiate on your behalf? How is Michigan going to compete for new jobs while being surrounded by Right to Work States?

Walk in with Mom today and she wrote out her deposit slip (Senior Citizen) and the bank teller said "were you going to pay the difference in the amount of the check and what you wrote on the deposit?" She said, "I don't understand," well the state tax went in effect for your check so it is lower than what you put on your deposit slip. She did not even notice that her check had decreased, until the bank teller pointed it out to her. A few gathered outside after I was in there to voice about what happens to Seniors pensions when they vote for these Republican governors. My mother has always been a democrat, ALWAYS, I just wished my Republican Grandparents were still around to see what is happening to seniors now and in the future. Raising taxes on seniors, shame shame shame!! People that are on a fixed income as their insurance goes up again and cost of living. REPUKES BLOW!! And I don't even want to here at least she has a pension. Her pension is 370 month!!

  15. First of all I am thankful for the UAW saving AAI

Second this Christmas was not good at the In-Laws house. The In-laws (staunch Republicans) blamed my $28 per hour, great benefits and all of my negotiated days off as the demise of the D3. Obviously I had to defend our great wages, benefits and pension with facts of labor rates and sacrifices we made to gain product and investment at AAI and job security gained for all UAW-Ford.

Even in my own family there are haters of our well negotiated contract.

Jealousy or just a Republican ploy to kill the middle class???

You know what I would do??? I would sit down and ask them, especially if they were out of work......if Ford called you tomorrow, asked if you wanted to come in for an interview, pay you a good wage, plus benefits, and holidays, would you say no??? Tell them hey, if we were given one application to give to a friend or family member, what would they do if the application was presented to them?? Ask them if they would turn it down? None of them, even with a good job would turn it down. This is the problems people. They can't stand it because it is so good. Everyone hate what they can't have. Everyone thinks the grass is greener on the other side. Wouldn't it be nice to walk them in the building and let them try it for 10 hours?? the over 40's would die out there!!

  16. You are getting FOC'ed. The acronym stands for;

    F - freind

    O - of the

    C - cunt

CS is a pain to deal with. How much did they deduct from your signing bonus when there was no rearrage? Can CS account for this money. I overpaid last year and CS sent me a refund check for $398. If you cant stop the deductions, you may be able to get CS to release the funds to you. I likely will be going to court to set a precedent for all divorced men in the state of Ohio. There has neve been accountability for where child support goes, but I am going to go before the judge to try to change this. I am dealing with a modification right now. However my kids mother doesn't work, and hasn't since my divorce. She is living off their CS, and wants a raise. I want her to account for their CS, or to have a trustee administer the CS. She cant even maintain a bank account without overdrawing it. I still have to buy them things they need cause she never has any money. Guess she doesn't understand that she is support herself, and that that is their money. I am not trying to deprive my kids of what they need, only I don't want to support their mother. She laid on her back for 30 min. and some how I owe her for the rest of her life. If I had a chance to do it all over..........

The state protects the women to avoid having to absorb the cost supporting them with their budget. Must be nice not to be expected to work?

A Total of 30 minutes or 30 minutes for each kid??

  17. Printing the names of Company and Union Officials on free gifts given to the hourly workers is standard procedure. You wanna slam Nick,go ahead and slam Nick.My opinion is that Nick Kottalis is the best Union Man I ever met in 27 years of working at Ford Motor. No one else I would want on my side when the chips are down than Nick Kottalis. You are lucky to have him.

AWE, isn't Fatso sweet that he likes to wear his boyfriend's name on his jacket. It really is moving, Fatso, Nick would be so proud of you. Maybe you can get a tattoo of him on your bum. How can your chips ever be down, you can retire soon, I can see in the future as if Laverne in Shirley are reincarnated on Fatso jacket. Her with her big "L" on all her shirts and jackets and Fatso with a big "N" on his : )

  18. No salaried hired after January 1, 2000 is covered by a pension anymore.

Yes, you are right Len, I stand corrected but most employees (salaried) would you agree were hired before 2000? There are not a lot of new hires after 2000, it seems as though I remember a big hiring freeze plus a lot of people before either let go voluntarily or involuntarily back in 2006. What would you say the average age of a salaried worker and the years on the job?? I say its around 45 and at least 15 years??

  19. most companies do match, what you forgot to include is that most companies also don't pay a pension anymore. would you give up your pension in exchange for a company match option?

Good Question, it would depend on the match and yes your absolutely right most companies do not pay a pension but why does our company pay salary a pension and on top of that a match plus stock options??

  20. Thank you for posting it. This is the first time I remember any of the big 3 announcing a buyout months in advance, but now lowering labor costs shows strength for our earnings, as opposed to the previous buyouts which screamed "We are losing money, please leave."

What? Seriously the company will not be hiring 12,000 new bodies. If 8,000 leave and 8,000 people are backfilled you get the same number of employees regardless if they are new or not. Backfill is backfill period. Are the supplemental employees that are now full-time non temporary workers included in the new hires?? Fields admits that $400 was lost to each employee if the new profit plan would of been implemented. Similar to salaried?? Not even close!! As we said there is a 12K cap period, end of story!!

  21. In my years at ford motor company and the 5 jackets that i have received over that time, never have i seen something so pathetic as last week when the DTP winter jackets were passed out. My first thought was nice coat until i seen the unbelievable, on the right breast of the jacket embroidered was "NICK KOTTALIS PRESIDENT / CHAIRMAN" and below that was "ANTHONY HOSKINS PLANT MANAGER". Who would want NICK that stupid asshole's name and HOSKINS( who don't even work there anymore) on their coat. It looks like that shady simpleton NICK KOTTALIS thought he found a way for years of free campaigning. Well "THE MEMBERSHIP / VOTERS" are pissed and will know who not to vote for at the next election by reading your name off of everybody's fuck'in jacket....

LOL, who is the plant manager??? Maybe you can ask him if he can remove it??? I'm sure the plant manager (current) does not like to see the other guys name on the jacket either. LOL/ someone has a BIG ego.

  22. UAW - Ford Motor Company National Labor Agreement Conference Call

    Thursday, 20 Oct. 2011 - 0800 EDT

    Re-Broadcast at web site www.at.ford.com/pages/default.aspx

This is not to take sides in the "for" or "against" debate.....

This tele conference was held for Investor Groups and the Media. It ran for approximately 34 minutes.

After the typical poop and circumstance, the Q&A session started with:

Mr. Fields, reassured everyone that the new labor agreement would only cost the profit, 1% over the last agreement. He stated that this 1% raise in labor cost will be completely offset by the increases in Operating Flexibility, Efficiency Rates and the use of Competitive Work Practices. Applying these applications will allow for the reductions in overall costs and reductions in labor.

Jim Murphy - Bank of America asked Mr. Fleming:

Of the12000 new jobs how many will be net jobs? Mr. Fleming responded, "of the 12000 new jobs, 3400 will be the movement of jobs". Mr. Murphy, "so out of the 8600 new jobs, how many will be net"? Mr. Fleming, "the majority will be Entry Level". Mr. Murphy, "60% or 70% majority or the bulk"? Mr. Fleming "I would say the bulk".....?

    C. Filapro - Credit Fleet asked Mr. Fields;

Will the 12000 new jobs, be based on market share and production volume? Mr. Fields responded, "Yes, in some cases the need for adding shifts will be warranted"..?

    R. Nash - Deutscha Bank asked Mr. Fleming

"The 12000 gross jobs, 3400 will be movement of jobs from within"? Mr. Fleming "Yes". Mr. Nash, "so the 8600 will be Entry Level"? Mr. Fleming, "the company dosen`t expect to reach 8% Entry Level employee`s through the end of the agreement"...?? Mr. Nash, " will the majority of the 8600 be Entry Level"? Mr. Fleming, "no I would not say a majority".??

    R. Cematol - JP Morgan/Chase asked Mr. Fields;

Could you shed some light on the 2 Tier CAP? Mr. Fields, "in general it is at 20% overall". But, "with this agreement we will see two facilities reach 100% Entry Level employee`s. (Rossenville & Sterling) This will allow for a realistic CAP of 25% to 27% of Entry Level employee`s. Mr. Fleming added "the company will not reach the CAP on Entry Level employee`s in this agreement".

    Marty ???? - Wall Street Journal asked Mr. Fleming;

Reducing, while adding jobs? 12000 or 8600 new jobs? 20%, 25% or 27% CAP on Entry Level employee`s? Net jobs or New jobs? Will someone help me with the math? Mr. Fleming, "the company will be in sourcing product and moving jobs"... ??? "the company never implied net jobs, ...new jobs will be added"...?? No response was made when Marty asked something about "New Jobs or New Hires"???

Please, don`t be upset if any names or information might be slightly different from the re-broadcast. I tried to take notes but, its been years sense my last lecture hall.... One thing is for sure CAP was mentioned on a few occasions with reference to applying the "Competitive Work Practices"? And they talked about how the Trades will be lowered to 8000 total from the 9000 members now.

Yep, just an old rusty bucket... things just keep leaking out.... Interesting conference to listen to. Funny, this is the first time I`ve heard CAP will go to a Competitive Work Practices....

Once again this is not to take sides.

Great Post!!! I am surprised more people have not responded to the very line that says applying these applications will allow for reductions in cost (no surprise there), and in the reduction in labor..hmmm did I miss something??? Are they not adding jobs or are they considering the reduction of labor in trades only stating in a round about way that there will be no more backfill of new trades added or people of the production line going back to tools??? Looks like they want that trades number to go from 9000 to 8000 permanently.

  23. Low and behold, a few days after the hourly agreement is ratified, guess who ends up paying? The General Salary Roll workforce. Basically, the salaried equivalent to hourly workers. Ford rolled out an email that two of our six health care choices have been dumped. Which two? The best two in cost and coverage. So, we are left with the most expensive HMO and three pretty bad PPO plans. All four plans are either costly up front or on the end with out of pocket or both.

I understand that hourly don't have to shell out $500 a month for decent health care. Salary either shell that out now or gamble and then would have to pay over $3000 out of pocket and then 40% of everything above that. I am beginning to suspect that Ford is having the GSR workers subsidize active hourly health care costs. I am pretty sure that in a group plan of thousands of employees, it doesn't cost $6,000 per family to be covered. I would guess Ford would negotiate rates at least that low or below that rate. Bottom line, salaried gets screwed once again.

401K match my friend, air conditioning, AWS (job sharing anyone, anyone??), merit increases to offset spending on insurance, higher salaries period, less physical work with little injury, moving allowances are sinful, buying vacation time. Look I know you GSR's get a bad rap but still try the line for 10 hours 4-5 days a week, believe me that $500 will seem like nothing. Way better profit sharing also. Put out an average salary for you all and then we can talk.

  24. Stang u were a lying piece of sh#2 when i worked with you and you still havent changed. You always bragged how smart you are etc...Have some self esteem bro..You dont have to lie/brag to get people to notice you...OK you DO LOL

Seriously, you have absolutely no idea who I am because what you have posted and the answer you give is waaaaaaaay off, no bro here : ) If you think you know who I am, call me out right now, tell me where I worked, tell me what plant I started in. Tell me where I ended up?? My self esteem is just fine. Words of encouragement to always take advantage of education is something that I value. Just because you do not want to take advantage of it, I can't help it. The degrees were paid for by Ford Mo. Co., I would love nothing more than for everyone to do it! :hyper:
