Just to let you know. There never were 1000 temps @ KCAP, but there are about 120 left as of now and, most are on 3rd shift. Any way good luck to you and yours, but haven't heard of that many taking the buy out or retireing. but if they send you all here maybe they will double us up!! Ha! and be prepared to work!! Thanks Pointy, Shows the charactor of a TRUE UAW brother by helping out! :happy feet: There are about 15 or so of use in Indy that have recieved 60 to 90 day letters to come to KC but no final date yet. As for me one of my homes sold Monday 3/05/07 have to move into an apartment Have you guys heard anything at all on your end, we are ready.. I lived in KC from 89 through 92 and my daughter went to KC institute of art. We heard on our end that the NESC, Nat. UAW were not happy with HR in KC for putting out a JULY 23rd date for us to report This is worse than just a weeks notice. This is my Second hire in at Ford :reading: I started back in 1978 at age 18 then got laid off for years, I have 17 Ford years but only 14.6 new senority.. Glad to here you all say this. It has always been Ford problem with some of their managment. same thing was going on in Indy for years, Managers would tell there people they wanted action and they wanted improvements but if you don't have a glue about what is going on how can you help make that change... I could go on with stuff like this for hours and it is wide spread through out the company... They were to busy sneaking out early to go play Golf and let the plants go to hell! and then put the hourly people on the spot because they didn't know how to solve anything... Most of our successes over the years at Indy came from the Floor with NO help what so ever from Management or supervision. I HAVE WRITEN PROOF OF THIS! Thanks for the feedback guys. Sure glad to here you guys at KCAP like to work together and build a good product. It will be nice to be back in a good work ethic plant :happy feet:<style_emoticons/default/happy feet.gif> I lived in KC from 1989 until 1992 and my daughter attened Kansas City Institute of Art. I lived in Independence Mo back then but don't think I want to go back there probably Liberty area! Like I said there are about 15 people from Indy Steering plant who did get there paper work 60 to 90 out so any info on what is going on in your plant we all would like to get there sooner rather than later, houses for sale and getting ready to go to KC :happy feet:<style_emoticons/default/happy feet.gif> <style_emoticons/default/redcard.gif>

I am from Indy and got my paperwork 60 to 90 days to come to KC. then two days later LR/HR called us back up and said it might be July???? :boring: What is going on? If you have temps they need to move over and get out!!!!! That's my job they are doing.. Been with Ford sence 78 and been through the bull and ready to come to KC.
