  1. I'm not even sure why i'm responding to this because you pretty much have shown how ignorant you are, but here goes. I am not as religious as i would like to be but exactly why would you even respond like that? People like you and the General and pretty much everyone else that posted to this thread are why I rarely even check this site out anymore. This person is truely excited for Saline, ok maybe a little over excited but who isnt when they want to stay at their home plant and be happy. I see that you have almost 140000 posts, and i would be willing to guess that 99.9% of them are negative. Blue Oval forums have in my opinion been rendered useless by idiots like yourself and the so called General. Post away worthless morons!!!!

Lack of wisdom, knowledge and understanding is why he responded like that! With all the name calling that goes on, I some times wonder how old are some of them. A wise person came get his/her point across without being negative, hateful or name calling. It doesn't bother me when people post foolish talk because I know it's a sign of some very deep issues going on in their lives!

  2. happy feet.gif Thank You Tango

My thoughts exactly Americans have lost the will to survive no matter what

For all you numnut idiots out there that think your getting back at the banks for pulling some bullshit by not paying your bills think again WE ALL PAY

I'm not a fucking socialist so quit looking for Obama taxpayer bail me out money I'm sick of paying for deadbeats playing the system

This Poor Me Shit has got to stop

You Bought It Now Pay For It

    Thank You

People that are still working are experiencing self-inflicted financial problems(POOR MONEY MANAGEMENT) that goes deeper then underwater mortgages but there's a dark side. They will not get back at the banks nor will they get away with anything! There are consequences to all our actions. Credit is very tight and will be for a long time...it will be much higher % for them IF they get approve for credit in the future.

Everybody I know that made the decision to file or walk away are suffering the repercussions now. People don't care anymore so why should I care if a person makes a decision to ruing their credit, either pay now or later but they will pay!

  3. Need some advice.

Has anyone successfully "walked-away" from their mortgage? If so, what are the implications? (besides the worse credit report)

I am currently at KCAP and am considering just turning in the keys whether we transfer to Kentucky or not.

I am not late on a payment yet I am underwater and have absolutely no desire to make repairs, show my house and then bring thousands and thousands of dollars to the closing table. (that's even IF I could find a buyer.)

BTW, regardless if we do get a new product, I think that Ford still will offer us a transfer to KY and I would take it. I want a fresh start.

Furthermore, If I anticipate a move next year, why not stop making payments now?

I keep hearing people live in their home for a year or two before getting the actual boot. I think it's a smart [strategic] financial decision.

Look at all your options and base your decision on what's best for you and your family because only you know your financial situation.

I personally would file bankruptcy if I had too, I know people that walked away and filed BR. I hope it all works out for you, God Bless.

  4. I will be there. I am suprised to see Bob on TV so much. He is going old school to the streets.

I for one will be there, I have already confirmed the date with the region, this will be a huge event.

I challenge all of us to be there and support Bob who is a true fighter for us.

I agree Louie, this is about supporting all union members, NOT Jesse Jackson. He is not a Fan of anyone I've talked too, Nobody cares!!

  5. I agree, Jesse's 99% a-hole and 1% turd. An arrogant, pompous opportunist. He spoke at the 2009 stockholders' meeting, asking questions that displayed his lack of knowledge of the auto industry and economics. "What is Ford doing for the minority community?" Hey, Jesse, what are you doing for Ford and its employees? Tell your constituents to buy Ford products. Oh, that's right, you have NO constituents except for the ones in clown college.

As for Ford, NO industrialist did more for blacks than Henry Ford.

Jesse only showed up for the free camera time. Like being at Michael Jackson's trial. "Lens Time". Put a camera up and he and Sharpton will knock each other over trying to get at it. Like a hungry dog attacking meat. You don't even need the dog whistle!

"Hymietown". "Spit in white people's food." "Cut off Obama's nuts." He has a baby out of wedlock with another woman and he's preaching like he's a role model? He claimed he cradled Dr. King as he drew his last breath. A witness said he was actually standing in a nearby parking lot speaking with some musicians when the shots rang out, "at the moment King was shot, Jackson fled and hid behind a swimming pool and re-appeared 20-30 minutes later when television cameras appeared." I clicked on the Rainbow site a few years ago and all the intro pics had him in them. Musta used a wide-angle lens to fit all that ego into the frame.

His degree? He never graduated from seminary college. It's basically an honorary degree.

Get Jackson to support Toyota. A match made in heaven. Neither of them has any knowledge of what constitutes the truth. Both LOVE the limelight, except when they get caught in a lie.

I'm not a Jackson fan, to me, he is a left wing nut. He is a union supporter, while all your right wing nuts talk bad about us, he has all ways supported unions! Where are the right wing union supporters, hey, give them a call, I will march with them too! Henry Ford has done more for white too! so, wake up! Wow, You guys worry and complain about everything!

  6. What is the name of the web site you log into at home to access your pay check?

www.at.ford.com, Click on the link that says Ford that will take you to @FordOnline, First At the top page, click on U.S. Employees, Second Located at the top you are not logged in Please CLICK HERE to login that will take you to secure B2B server login. I always go to Internet Options to clean my browsing History, Content to clear my SSL State and Norton after any online Business is done. It's important that we all keep our computers clean...I hope this information helps.

  7. Personally, I love it. I have had direct deposit for forever, so not having a paystub means one less thing going into my shredder.

Me too, it's great! No paper checks unless I need one, all I have to do is login and print a copy.

  8. They just played part of an interview with Local 249 President Wright on the radio where he said that Ford has hinted what product is coming to KCAP but it was Ford's responsibility to make that announcement. That's a different tune that what's been said in the last week or so.

Also, the report said that Ford was not holding out on Missouri for more money but wouldn't turn it down if it was offered. hysterical.gif

I'm sure KCAP will continue to build the F150 and get another product. I hope it all works out, God Bless you guys.

  9. Evidently you haven't been part of the UAW very long. If it were up to FoMoCo and FoMoCo alone, then yes, management wouldn't move any capable employee, they'd only move the parasites..... and then they'd be moving them right out of the door. However, since Ford currently is still a predominantly Union based company, and they try to adhere to the UAW based contract mandates, such as "Recall rights, Return to base unit rights, Zone rules, Seniority rights..etc". Almost all the moves are solely due to the UAW job bid process and seniority hierarchy.

It's far from a perfect system, but it's the best system that our brain trust could come up with. If it were up to Ford, we'd all be replaced with Chinese Robots purchased from Wal Mart. If the UAW controlled the system, a 95 year old with 75 years seniority would be "Our Main Man", and 3 guy's would be required to replace a light bulb. Both sides of the cause could make a pretty good argument. Unfortunately for us, industrialized globalization has made the UAW's argument much less valid.

We (the UAW) must become much more realistic, and start to embrace the idea that we are totally expendable. We're simply a commodity or more than likely a liability.. depending on our membership and their work ethic, devotion, and maybe sense of entitlement. It's us against the World. It's time to man up, just like our fathers and Grandfathers did in the world wars. No more protecting the incapable, weak, or lazy.

We currently, just aren't competitive. There are too many factors weighing us down. We're all dealing with incompetent management, nepotism, favoritism, meaningless UAW appointed positions, and uncompetitive health and Safety regulations....... Dead weight every where,...... on both the management and hourly side. Unless we adapt and change as a Company, we'll have only ourselves to blame for our failures. Accountability is a hell of a thing.... a thing that most "Ford Lifers" just don't understand.

    Excellent, I like it!

  10. They must not...! why do I say this...! .Let's say you take a plant like DTP you get all your people trained...Quality is good..now all the sudden..lets start moveing everybody around....lets send people back to wayne, Saline. Sheldon, AAI...Chicago..does managment @ this company have a clue how much this affects their WORLD CLASS QUALITY. They must not....pluse all the money it takes to retrain people...they must not be paying us enough...because they must have a shit load of CASH to flush down the tolit....Let me save you... THE COMPANY A SHIT LOAD OF CASH.....Leave everybody where their @ STOP THE CHURNING....YOU MIGHT JUST KEEP YOUR WORLD CLASS QUALITY....IF I WAS YOU FORD MOTOR I WOLD SAVE ALL THE CASH YOU CAN GET YOUR GREEDY HANDS ON....... This is all you haft to do SEND ALL AAI LOW TO JOBS THAT ARE OPEN @ DTP, MICHIGAN ASSY, CHICAGO MOVE NO ONE ACCEPT THE PEOPLE WHO NEED A JOB. BOB KING YOU COULD BE A TRUE AND ALIVE SUPPER MAN IF YOU CAN MAKE THE COMPANY SEE THIS..THINK OF HOW MUCH CASH YOU COULD SAVE FORD BY DOING SOMTHING SO EASY....TIME IS SHORT....AND AMERICA IS BROKE...AS OUR CEO SAYS......ONE FORD... sos.gifdoh.gifbowdown.gif NOW GO BACK TO WORK YOU LITTLE WORKER BEES speedie.gif

Move no one accept those who need a job or all the people that want to transfer to another plant by choice. I'm glad we have the opportunity to move if we want too. One of the ex NAP transferee is getting the opportunity to move back to his hometown Chicago.

  11. I agree with Newt Gingrich: THE MICHIGAN UAW MUST CHANGE OR DIE! What is so hard about understanding the simple truth? You see it everyday with reps spending 99% of their time on 5% of the workforce (the slugs). THAT is the change he was talking about.

Newt need to mind his business and stick to government...another topic he knows nothing about! The UAW has changed, we have given huge concession for the big 3. He's not talking about Reps, he's talking about us giving up more of our benefits...What don't you understand? I agree with you about the Reps, I can't tell you the last time I've seen one!

  12. It's not a party thing Fantasic, what I am saying is both parties in general suck. We all (and not just autoworkers) need to get more educated when it comes to go to the polls is all.

I primarily vote Libertarian, however that does not always mean that every candidate from that party is right for my beliefs every time. I try to vote accordingly, but it does take a little time to research the candidates.

I used autoworkers as a example because this is what the topic is about on how we must change or die. It's a party thing for me, I think GOPs preach to many hate messages, not all but most do. I don't vote for all democrats, we have to many on both sides that should not be repersenting us at all. I think it's funny how sooo many of you voted for Bush and now you want to talk about how educated you are...I agreed with you at the beginning, they both suck! I don't base my intelligence on How I vote every 4 years, its based on who I am as a person, they all talk a good game to me when trying to get elected. I'm glad to be talking to a educated person, nice to meet you!!

  13. Because not everyone votes on a blue or red color, some actually research who they are voting in to office and not just going by old fundamental cores of any given party.

Both suck these days, both are taxing the shit out of companies driving them out of the country. Democrats want to tax the shit out of everyone as well as impose tough environmental standards on manufacturing and manufactured goods, at the same time neither side is willing to impose the same regulations on imports.

Newt is the same douche he always has been, this should come as no big shocker to anyone.

Lquidspine, yes, both sucks! I'm not going to vote for any party that constantly talk down about the America middle class manufacture workers. America companies are making Billion in profits every month with a lot less employees and plenty of cutback they have made over the years. And yes, many needed to restructure inorder to survive but for some reason we want to think that we can no longer compete in the U.S. where they make most of their profits, huge profits...That's BULL and it's brainwashing!!! No one wants to pay higher taxes but if I don't have a job then I can't pay them. The big 3 has cut under half of their employees, UAW members has been cut drastically and so many concessions has been given up for the surviver lie and we are still being told, we can't compete, yea, right!!

  14. I don't think there's going to be a Mercury Tracer. I thought I read last week in one of those articles about Ford dropping the Mercury brand that they have dropped plans to build a Mercury counterpart for the Focus. And if they did build the Mustang in Wayne, wouldn't it be at the Wayne Assy plant, not the Michigan Assy plant.

Ford will end Mercury production in the fourth quarter of this year.

  15. I don't think there's going to be a Mercury Tracer. You are right, It was announced last week.

  16. Don't get me wrong, I am glad the company I work for is doing well, but what customers are they targeting with all these vehicles? Unemployment is out of control in this country and fords remaining workforce is wary of buying new vehicles. These vehicles/jobs need to be here, in the good ole USA!!!

I agree, not good at all!!!

  17. Wonder what they mean by Spousal Relocation assistance? Do you get extra money besides the $30,000 if your married?

You get $4800 if you are married, half of that if you are not married plus the $30,000...unless they changed it, $45,000 is only paid out when your plant close and you relocate.

  18. stirpot.gif Well, this is just what those of us left behind, when we left the DAP in 2004. I have seen this happen a few times over the years in the DAP and just when the current contract is coming to the end. This is CRAP that has hurt us from making any strides forward in the plant. With so many new people from so many different plants, the company will have us by the balls and we will see nothing but strife on the floor. These managers just eat this up! Until some people can step up and leave their EGOS at the door I'm going to see what happened in the past, all over again. STOP IT!!! It is not worth it.

I agree! It's not a good look for DTP, Unions are having a hard time right now, we all need to come together. I meant to say, can we all just get along!!!

  19. I am personally tired of this 3 ring circus. These "teams" are in an endless grudgematch and we "the membership" are the field under their feet. We have been ignored and lied to; and I am TIRED. I wouldn't let an elementary school playground run like this, much less my workplace. Drastic changes are needed. These boys are jaded, and they have lost touch with the reality of our lives. They don't understand our needs and they ignore our rights!

During campaigning, my favorite question for them was " You can't even manage C Crew properly, much less your own building. What makes you feel confident enough to sit on national council?" That was a tricky one for them. The general answers involved much stammering and blame shifting.

Until responsibility is met with equal amounts of spine and determination, we are hopeless!!

    Chassis Line 1 -- C Crew

Where have you guys been? This is the way DTP operate...this is a BAD look for all involved!!! Can't we all just get along!

  20. Believe it or not she is an activist for the real people who work hard everyday. She is also a dedicated educator with the degrees to back it up. She stands out there rain or shine to give a voice to what she believes in and for that we must give her credit. She is seeking no job within the inside of the walls at which we work and has been standing out there for as long as some of us have walked in the door for the very first time. I would love nothing more than to do a story about her one day as she has always listened to many with an open ear and then printed what a lot of the workers have always wanted to say. She has made visits to local hospitals when the hourly workforce has been sick and has never wavered her stance on what the treatment should be toward our union brothers and sisters. She prints the "Spark" by the small contributions that she receives at the gate. Her paper is written from what she learns from you (the working class blue collar workers) and nothing else. Next time you see her, it would not hurt you to say hello. I'm sure if you ask her why she does what she does, she probably has a great story behind it. I know for the 10 plus years I walked past her she was always concerned about us first, never herself. How many people do you out there have stayed true to their dedication toward the U.A.W. people more than the Spark lady....no-one.

Excellent description, all the stuff she write is from the uaw members about what's going on in the plants. She's a voice for working class people, kinda like what the Tea Parties claim too be, depending on whos voice you want to listen too. I don't agree with everything she write about but it's nice to see someone fight for a real cause with out hate....

  21. If we were under a dictatorship under Bush, what has changed under Obama? Dictatorship is big government. Under Obama, government has grown bigger with the takeover of health care. The cost of health care in Canada has been constantly on the rise, and the quality is constantly on the decline, except for new technology, which is slowed by government involvement.

The War on Terrorism, which the Democrats demonized when in opposition still goes on with them in power. Sounds pretty hippocritical, eh?

You want to "send" Sarah Palin back to Alaska? You can only send people to places in Totalitarian countries. I can see where your head is at.

The Tea Parties are attended by a growing number of concerned American citizens who see the country headed in the wrong direction. The analogy is that if you are on fire, you stop, drop, and roll; not run at a faster pace. It is level headed thinking that has come up with the logical solution to our problems. We need less government. It is indoctrination and brainwashing that causes people to want to continue on the same destructive path.

In Canada, to get an MRI takes months. In the US, it takes hours.

I have an idea. Why not allow MRI machines to be purchaced by anyone. They could be mass produced on an assembly line, and sold at a fraction of their present cost. Soon improvements would be found, and the cost reduced even further. Where would the market for these be? Entrepreneurs would rent space in malls and install these machines, which would be available to the public to use, for a nominal fee. They would get a computer printout indicating any possible trouble spots in their bodies. Fine tuning this, could lead to actual diagnoses and recommended treatments. This would cut the cost of health care in half, or better. It would also reduce the profits of the health care monopoly, so it will not be allowed. It would also take power away from the government. Power over the people is the life-blood of government.

What do you mean? we in Canada! You are not a U.S. Citizen?
