Whom do you refer to when you say your local insurance rep ?
The guy at Sandusky's Plant that oversees the retiree insurance. His name is Chris.

Sorry to the men here
The insurance company denied my female yearly exam lab tests. The hospital said it's because the Dr. submitted it as a "routine exam" and it should be submitted as a Pap Smear. Sounds like a matter of wrong coding being sent. Our local insurance rep. is going to look into why so many of us are having problems with some things not getting paid.

They were spewing more crap today..UGGH!

Hope the door hits him on the way out. www.detnews.com has an article with him admitting with the new pay rate that UAW workers won't be able to afford a new vehicle.
Cost of living is going up, but yet this idiot negotiated lower wages??

What I cant understand is how any Union or Middle class citizen can support politicians that come right out and say they are against unions and our way of life.
The Republicans and Teabaggers want to destroy our way of life and their are actually fools in the union that vote for them.
I dont get it
Can anyone explain this to me.
There's moral issues involved plain and simple. Dems need to become more consersative with some issues.

Lovely! Thanks for the help.

ford med bcbs tcn.pdfI have read all the posting with interest and as a retiree living in Indiana I can tell you the benefits available are not the same for all. The only option I have is BCBS TCN. No HMO. NO PPO. The insurance I have mandates I pay 100% for office calls, specialists, and lab work. I also have to meet a $340 family deductable per year and a $570 annual out of pocket expense a year. In essence, this is just catastropic care insurance as there is no payment for basic maintenance. Contrast this to the BSBC PPO plan. This plan offers a 50% co-pay for primary care physicians, specialists, and lab work. The Health Partners Freedom plan has a $20 co-pay for primary care phyicians, specialists, and lab work. The Alliance Health Care Plan-Medicare offers a $10 co-pay for your family doctor, specialists, and lab work.
My doctor charges $70 fror an office call. If I could get Alliance, I would only pay $10. BCBS PPO would cost me $35. Instead, I have to pay the full $70 just because of geography. This wrong in every way. It violates the bedrock foundation of which our union was formed, equality for all.
I have read the back and forth between brothers from Michigan and Ohio and would like to add my opinion. I am not against any benefits my brothers in Michigan may have that I don't. Good for them. But considering I pay the same amount from my pension check as they do I feel as though I should have the same choices or as close to the same choices as practically possible. This is an issue that needs to and must be addressed.
Would you be wiiling to tell me what your card says? I'm in Ohio and mine says PPO on the bottom left and TCN in the middle. So I don't know if I have PPO, TCN or both.

Hospital said that the insurance paid them for my lab test, then took the money back! WTH!
UGGH, noone knows what is going on.
-
I'm logged on to the website which was posted above. However, they have BCBS TCN plans and BCBS PPO plans.
My card says PPO on the left hand side and TCN in the middle. Which one do I look in under? Does that mean I have both?

Maybe you should go find yourself a 1991 Ford LTD Crown Vic Station Wagon (Country Squire)
or a Mercury Grand Marquis (Colony Park) station wagon that'll fit your needs?
(By the way, '91 was the last year for Ford to build a traditional station wagon.) Why did they stop anyway?
If Ford was smart, they'd bring back this type of vehicle that can actually be affordable and is capable of towing something instead of some piece of shit minivan or crossover that can't tow a damn thing!
We had a Taurus, too small. Went to a Crown Victoria, but still had to disassemble my chair every time I went somewhere for it to fit in the trunk. So we drove the Windstar, Villager and Econoline. The Windstar is perfect.

I'm thinking that someone is not entering codes or something right when claims are sent to the insurance companies. Everything we have says that certain tests are covered, but they are getting denied.

This is my parents' third one (96, 98, 03) ....the 96 was a lemon, 98 had 76,000 miles when they traded it in for the 03. The vans are certainly not perfect but they are solid and can haul a ton of stuff that other minivans simply cannot. They actually just placed an order for a 2010 E-150....we wanted to stick with Ford and that was their only choice since the Transit Connect is way too small and the Flex's roof is too low. Once it comes in they are getting a high top put on and then the lift etc. Got one hell of a deal on it!
Transit is just plain ugly! I wouldn't ride in that thing even of it worked for me! You are right though it's too small.
The Econolines are too big no need for that at this time for me.

my parents have an 03 with 104,000 miles and we live in northeast PA....they have never had this problem and they have a 400+ lb. Braun wheelchair lift sitting over the passenger side of the rear axle .... not including the weight of my sister in her power wheelchair. I've never heard of this issue up until now .... and what is the freaking point, the vans are 7-11 years old with god knows how many miles on them, pointless IMO .
Have had two Windstars. Never had this problem either. Have a lift and a power wheelchair as well. I don't sit in the chair when I'm in the van, but it's still heavy.
We've had other issues with them. Last one was a hard start.
This one, the ac blew up and then another time the transmission had to be replaced.
Wish they were still making these vans! They work the best for me. The Flex I thought was going to be the replacement, but it didn't work out.

I'm not against paying something, office calls weren't paid for for my family. But, everything else was. Now it looks like nothing is getting paid for.

I had lipid panel aka cholesterol and vitamin D blood test done.
They paid all but $28.30. Sent through Labcorp.
-
We need to make a list of what they are NOT paying now.
Office Calls
Pap Smears (which include office calls and the lab test itself)
-
We love Medco. Never had problems. NextRX is a pain in the butt.

WOW! They are playing the commercial like crazy. Kept flipping channels this evening and their commercial was on at least 4 stations at once.
