  1. We did order the camera, but not the TPMS ... read ahead of time that it probably wouldn't fit our trailers (stems); we had bought an aftermarket system that we were using on our 2011, so we'll use it on this new one...

The camera we don't have yet, the dealer is still looking for it... we are putting it on the back of our 26ft enclosed trailer; the plan is to add a wireless one that will tie with our RV gps for the fifth wheel...

So, with all that being said, I am of no help to you right now, but will check back when we start the chore you're going through!

Are you on the Ford Enthusiast forum? Quite a bit of help on there that may help in the meantime...best of luck and I'll check back!

Your camera will come to the dealer in a separate box. Mine arrived 2 weeks before the truck was delivered. The TPMS fit the rims so that is not the issue. I am not sure how I am going to run the wiring from the front of the 5th wheel to the rear of the truck.

  2. Years ago I had a 3500HD Chevy dually truck registered at a mere 8600# so it would be "legal" to run on the Garden State Parkway.

The only caveat is that if you get pulled over by a Trooper at an inspection stop you had best NOT weigh in over 8600#

As info, the initial registration fee in NJ for a new 10,000# vehicle is $555.

    For the higher weight of 11,400# it's $703.00 <ouch!>

I called my insurance company for a quote and they simply told me that 10k# and over is commercial (even if it's for private use) and the truck couldn't be put on my existing policy. :violin:

Is the initial registration fee for 5 years?

  3. Your owners manual should have all of the towing capacity guides. I would read it and compare it to the weight of the trailer you will be towing and determine if it meets your need. I am currently in the market for a 5th wheel and the unit I am probably going to purchase is 41 feet. My 2005 F250 Regular Cab is not capable of hauling this unit so I am also in the market for a F350, possible with Dual rear wheels.
