I read somewhere that the Edge would eventually gain a Hybrid version. True? If so, any idea of when they'll even make it known?

Yeah, the verdict is in - I don't want the CX-7. I don't like the dash or the back seat or the turbo. So, it's between the CX-9 and the Edge. After giving the CX-9 another shot, it grew on me. I'm awaiting 2008 Edge info as far as the new Sync and if any new colors come about. Either way, the CX-9 is what I really want at this point, but the price of the Edge works better for my budget.

I think I'm still going to wait for the 2008 model - I'm completely geeked about the new Sync system. I watched the demo on the Sync website and was completely blown away. I was never a fan of "poor" iPod interfaces that didn't allow you to control the device from your steering wheel. But to be able to actually talk to it and tell it what to play? Genious! Add that to the blazing copper and chrome wheels and I think I'll have a winner.

I did look at the CX-7 - I have odd feelings about the turbo and the premium fuel requirement. The back seat also felt kind of cramped. As for the CX-9, loved it - however, it felt very large and cavernous on the inside, has a very stiff ride and is also several grand more expensive than I'd like to spend. It wins on styling alone, but the price is not right for me. Unless of course I wait until they need to get them off the lots

Hi all - love the forums. Doing some research on a future purchase. I own a Mazda 6 right now, but I'm looking to trade it in for an Edge, as I like its style, ride quality and cargo room. It's perfect for what I would need it for. I've test driven one several times just to be sure and I'm really into this vehicle. My question is, even though nothing is confirmed, does anyone have any information on what the 2008 model will feature that's different from the first? I know I've read that the brakes would be improved and I know it's going to feature the Sync system as an option (which is making me wait for an '08 in the first place - can't live without Bluetooth and iPod controls). However, a dealer told me that you can't upgrade an '07 with the Sync system, as it's a factory install. Any other updgrades or changes to be made? Should I wait?
