  1. Yep, that's what I am waiting to see. I have seen it both ways. On Ford's press release photos, it's chrome. On most of the auto show appearances, it's body color, including the one I saw in person at the Chicago auto show. None of the documentation on the car really specifies, just says "exterior chrome accents". The other thing while we are on the subject, it seems like I have seen some of the cars lower bumper valance (between and around the tail pipes) painted body color, others painted grey regardless of color.
  2. They have been building them for about a month now. You will see them start arriving the end of this month.
  3. I would consider taking my Sport to a road course to run alternate to my '97 Cobra. The stablility would definately need to be disabled. On the new F-150, you can hold down the advancetrac button and it fully disables, but in the car line that's usually not the case, I will find out soon. I figure if not, someone will come up with a way around it (like pulling a fuse)...
  4. In the latest dealer product information book....they are being specific in saying the 23/34 number is the "S" model with 6-speed automatic. The book doesn't give numbers for the 2.5L "SE" automatic or manual, it just says TBD. The 22/31 number was off a "SE" 2.5L 6 speed automatic window sticker.
  5. Traction control can be disabled, but according to the 2010 fusion owner's guide, stability control cannot.
  6. Yep, they deleted my comments too. All I said was that the bias toward Honda from this magazine is getting tiresome. Amazing, Matt (P71) didn't get his comment deleted because it was bashing the Ford and praising Honda. What's the point of comments if you are going to delete the ones you don't like? You know he must still browse this site as a guest because it seems his comments turn up in EVERY article posted here.
  7. There are still alot of '09 and some '08 models on lots....I don't expect any incentives when my 2010 arrives. There isn't even any lease rates or financing numbers yet.
  8. There is no SES. S, SE, SEL are available with the 2.5L. And I wouldn't read too much into it just yet, because the stickers I am looking at may still be adjusted, just wanted to make sure my info was accurate for now.
  9. EDIT to original post: I added "S" and "SE" 2.5L gas mileage differences. I don't know why they would be rated different other then the "SE" has more equipment, so it's heavier. Maybe the ratings will change again as they come out. There aren't any 2.5L manuals out there yet so I don't know those ratings yet.
  10. Me too. I was suprised to see the 3.5L FWD to actually go down from last years MKZ HWY rating of 28. The 3.5L AWD rating is the same as last years MKZ ratings. Was hoping for more since I will be driving my AWD mostly highway, but I suppose 3 MPG isn't much to sacrifice for the AWD benefits.
  11. Listed: Model, City MPG, Highway MPG SPORT AWD: 17 24 SPORT FWD: 18 27 3.0L AWD: 18 25 3.0L FWD: 18 27 2.5L AT "SE, SEL": 22 31 2.5L MT "SE, SEL": 22 29 2.5L AT "S": 23 34 2.5L MT "S": 22 31 HYBRID: 41 36
  12. hmmm...the chevy was included in this version of the video, and it ran out of gas before the F150 http://www.autoblog.com/2009/01/26/video-m...ull-size-picku/
  13. http://www.fordvehicles.com/2009f150/ Makes me proud to own an F-150.
  14. Bucked (on assembly line): 2/17/09 Produced (built awaiting transport): 2/19/09 Should be loaded on rail car next week!
  15. That's odd you don't have a invoice since it's built. Mine is supposed to be built this week, and I recieved the invoice last Friday 2/13. What's the actual status in the system? Maybe they are waiting to send out in one batch.
  16. Its good to see all the envy coming from the import crowd, as most of the comments in the 2010 Fusion articles are from them. Good sign this car is getting this much attention before it's released!
  17. What's the point of this article? I was expecting to see performance stats, skidpad, 0-60, etc. We have all seen the pictures already.
  18. If you are speaking about the Sport package, 18 inch wheels are standard. On the SEL, 17 inch wheels are standard, with 18 inch wheels optional, which includes sport tuned suspension as in previous years.
  19. I live in the Chicago dealer region. The hybrids are a totally different allocation depending on past dealer sales, size, region, and award status within Ford. Good luck!
  20. Yea, the 4 cylinder model wouldn't have it. Thanks for the pictures!
  21. Where did you drive the 2010 Fusion? Did you notice where the SelectShift indicator is located in the dash (showing the gear number in manual mode)? I know the 2.5L dash would not have that but maybe you saw it on another model.
  22. Yes, you are correct, Feb. 4 was Job 1. I was curiously waiting for MPG numbers since I ordered my 2010 Fusion Sport, but I have given up and plan to see them on the window sticker when it arrives the first of March.
  23. And we wonder why people are misinformed......magazines put out information without taking the time to verify it.
