For petes sake take it in! Make sure you drive with the tech so they can see it happen. Too dangerous not to fix this.
-
-
Well You already blew money on throwing parts at it, whats another $90?
-
Thanks for posting this. I never new I had this option! I want the auto wipers that sense water!
-
Dont get it.

X-plan originally was a family member other than immediate. Use to be you couldn't generate a pin for even a niece or nephew.
Somewhere back in the mid 90's Ford enlarge the program to a family and friends, then even sales started touting the "get the Ford Family Price'
Soon dealers were here on this site soliciting pins, and they added language to the plan about that.
Now today I get a pop-up with this warning
"It is a direct violation of the program rules to provide PINs to customers referred to you by a dealership employee or to use a dealership employee as a broker to locate AXZ-Plan customers."
Ford is being very aggressive now about wanting that profit. That was the first time I ever saw that warning as I was presented it.
All in all. I think it should return to pure family. By the time someone is interested in buying a Ford, they pretty much know that's what they want. It reduces the dealership profits, which in the long run, just end up hurting Ford. When people think they find a loophole and then exploit it numerous times it diminishes the 'BENIFIT' a Ford Employee receives. An Employee does not profit from this one iota except he gets to come to work again the next day to produce another car.
My $.02
Couldn't agree more. Want a pin # buy some shares or marry an employee. Otherwise, forget it.

Any vehicle I ever owned which had the Posi on it, I never replaced the clutch packs. Just simple fluid change and it lasted the life of the vehicle.
Really? You had good luck. In our fleet 3 out of the 5 truck with LS have needed clutchs replaced frequently. And the 2 trucks that did better saw more abuse.
-
Yeah your dealer wants you to buy a 2010.
-
Been this way since Model Year 2005 on Explorers/Avaitors, Mountianeers, Expedition, and Navigator. I worked for a huge FLM dealer at the time. This has not changed in 6 model years.
Oh, and BTW I would much rather have the Limited Slip.
And replace the clutch packs every 30K miles?
-
2018 maybe.
-
Can't have RSC and LS. End of story.
-
Sounds like master cylinder air leak.

Paint quality on new Fords is off topic? Petty? OK. Don't inspect your 2011 for paint issues, I am sure it will be fine...
Oh, and if you do find some after you take delivery, don't post any threads about it. Want to stay on topic.
-
If you think the paint is lesser quality you've never owned a Ford from the 80's, on those the paint would come off on your car wash mit every time you washed. My black 03 still has paint that looks like new and outshines the porsche that parks next to me. I agree though that Ford has made too many negative changes and not enough positive ones, and the reason these negatives changes were made was because consumers didn't demand the higher quality, instead they just proceed to buy the low quality product.
Yeah, I owned some Fords from the 80's and 90's. The clear coat failure was miserable. Now I don't think it's so much a problem of the material being used as it is the process. Thin base coats, improper prep on aluminum panels, etc.
-
Cons are they are aluminum wheels with a chrome plated plastic hub cap.
-
Yeah, well Ford must have gotten a lot of requests for lesser quality paint, thinner sheet metal, lower grade leather, etc. Oh, wait, that was to increase profit margins.
-
"Hold1 and 6 together for 3 seconds." You sir, are a GOD!! No one including the dealer could figure out how to get the ESD..Thanx again!!!!!!!
No problem. Glad I could help. I can't live without my Sirius.
-
Try these.
press AUX and ``1`` at the same time until the number shows up
or
Hold SAT + 1 together for 3 seconds.
if this does not work,
Holf 1 and 6 together for 3 seconds.
Or
Try these.

HOW DARE YOU INSULT FORD CUSTOMERS....GO CRAWL UNDER A ROCK...CUSTOMERS CAN VOICE THEIR REQUEST hopefully big daddy Ford will listen
Yeah, sure. 14 years later no diesel. File this in the same request bin as a 30mpg 6,000lb suv.
-
Do you know if you have the sirius module installed? Antenna on the roof? What radio do you have?
-
Sick of people crying about different engines, diesel, etc. This has been going on since 1997! Get over it people. You don't like the motor selection pick another car/truck.
-
Good trick. Sync didn't come in until the 09 model year.
That's what being a smart ass gets you!
-
That is from the 2007. I guess they never revised the manual. My 2007 muted the radio.
-
Says No Phone on my 2008. You need to buy and install Ford's Mobile Ease hands free system which is $400 or so. Not worth it.

There is a TSB for the mirror to be replaced and it has helped some.
FORD: 2007 Expedition
LINCOLN: 2007 Navigator
ISSUE:
Some 2007 Expedition and Navigator vehicles built before 05/07/2007 may exhibit wind noise around the exterior driver and/or passenger doors. This may be most noticeable near the A-pillar area of the door.
ACTION:
Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
NOTE: IF THE VEHICLE BUILD DATE IS ON OR AFTER 5/07/2007, THIS TSB DOES NOT APPLY. CONTINUE WITH NORMAL WORKSHOP MANUAL DIAGNOSTICS.
Tape the trailing edge of the mirror sail down to the front window glass from the tip of the mirror sail to the belt molding.
If the noise goes away, replace the mirror on the effected side. Both mirrors do not have to be replaced.
If the noise does not go away, continue with normal Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 100-04 diagnostics.
