  1. apologies for the delay-have been drafting the next pilot program for lep-it is the worst kept secret in the world that SOME trades work their entire shifts but a depressing majority do not-understand that there are circumstances involved-but it grates on everyone to see reading/sleeping/card games while being paid-where i come from that philosophy is one of illegality-we always called it prostitution-because lets face the facts-if you are screwing someone for money(ford motor company counts) then it is prostitution. on another note-the record states that meetings were held by both the company and the local union over the imt program-had an opportunity to sit in on one of those meetings-ONCE AGAIN-THIS IS THE FUTURE-CHANGE OR DIE-what kind of announcement does lep want to hear late this fall? NEW BUSINESS OR CLOSURE?
  2. dearborn is not begging to give lep or anyone else new work or to continue with their existing-it is only those facilities that take the forward step-look to the future-understand what lies ahead and how the company as a whole must compete-only those facilities will receive the work that they want and need-change or die
  3. after reading the documentation/hearing from all sides on the plant floor at lep-the unanimous response was that it was indeed a pilot program but in order to participate you had to sign the bid for the job-no one was forced-once again-it is a brave new world at ford motor company-change or die
  4. very well said-the imt program is the wave of the future-it does not matter whether it is embraced or hated-it is either change or die-everyone may hate toyota and their processes but they are the most efficient means of production and they should be used if we are to remain and beat them at their own game
  5. according to your international contract-the folks at lep are in their own zone-you can only transfer to the job opening-as to closings-as previously stated-everything is on the table-the decision will come soon enough
  6. it is well known among all(including dearborn) that a few select persons in cleveland are quite adept at distorting the facts for their own purposes-the facts are as stated and shall remain until cep is permanently closed early next year
  7. a study was completed just a few months ago and was forwarded to powertrain and the board of directors that stated that the entire operation at cep 1 could be moved to lep intact and that such move would save the company 27 million dollars annually
