I'm looking to buy an 07 Superduty F-250. Problem is - they're getting pretty scarce. The one I was negotiating on was sold from under me. So I'm hoping someone that works for a dealer may can do a locate for me, please? I'm willing to travel to get the right truck, so if you can expand the locate to include the western part of the country (west of the Mississippi?) (I'm in California.) Looking for a 2007 F-250. Supercab, Long Bed (158" WB), 4x4 - believe this is called an X21 configuration. Trim: XLT preferred, but Lariat will work too. Color: Any Engine: 6.0 V8 Diesel Transmission: Torqshift 5-spd auto trans Options: Tow Command (mirrors & TBC). Reverse sensors nice to have. thanks, -Darryl

Thanks all for the thoughts. I typically do NOT buy first model year cars - specifically because there tend to be more and more technology crammed into these, not all fully baked. Kinda like beta software, except you can't just get a patch and get the latest version. That all said, MarkFord14, I'll PM you to get more details about the issues you've seen with your 6.0 if you're willing to share. My top priorities are reliability, fuel economy & relatively low cost of maintenance/ownership. Cheers, -Darryl

There are some pretty tempting incentives on the 07s right now, and I'm 80% set on an 07. I've heard there were some issues with the 6.0 Diesel in the 03 model years, but believe most of these to be resolved... Need the truck to tow an enclosed car trailer, so have been looking for models with Ford's Tow Command, a major plus over the competition. Just wanted to set out feelers to see if people (who have owned both the 6.0L and the 6.4L diesels) would have any strong recommendations one way or the other? Secondly - I'm willing to travel to find the right truck - does anyone know of an easy way to search dealer inventories for 07 SuperDuty F-250s? SuperCab, XLT, ideally in white/medium flint cloth, with Tow Command, Ford Trailer Hitch Receiver & Tow Mirrors? (I've been searching individual dealer inventories, and after about 200 dealerships (and a <5% success rate), this is getting tough. Cheers, -Darryl
