  1. +1 No substitute to cubic inches, tough for 5.4 to keep up with the Z06 7 liter.
  2. What WHQ stands for...sorry for my question but i do not know about it, Is it ford HQ or some thing else? it is regarding the TSB on the flywheel/clutch/trans in GT500.
  3. So still no answer...how to direct the letter to Mr Alan Mulally? any Email avenue, the customer relation e mail does not allow more than 1000 characters and does not allow attachment of the letter.
  4. how and through what avenue to e-mail alan Mulally a petition letter from gt500 owners that we are signing regarding the trans/flywheel, issue?
  5. I just bought an Explorer Eddie Bauer V6 4X4 2008. It has now on it 1000 miles and i had it for about 3 weeks. I am noticing occasionally a high pitched sound better heard from the passenger front wheel well than from the engine bay and also the sound goes away when increasing the RPM. sometimes it could be loud enough to the degree that i thought my old truck with 130 K sounded better. but i cannot duplicate the sound all the time and i talked to the dealer they asked me to bring it in ...but i may not be able to duplicate the sound. Did any one experience some thing similar...and could it be the dreaded engine tick? thx for help.
  6. thx for the link. there were TSB on 3V engines but non on 4V 5.4L like the one in gt500...is there any cases of failed pistons , lash adjusters problems, or oil deprivation conditions that participate in making ticking sounds ingt500 specifically .(since the gt500 is DOHC and doesn't have VTC)?
  7. Is there any TSB for engine tics on the gt500 4V 5.4L, and is there any known tendency to have it from the left banks? It was mentioned first by car and driver magazine in 2006 when they tested the car. Now it is an issue surfacing on the forums. http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/hot_li..._take_road_test
  8. thx, at least that gives me the peace of mind knowing that this is not unusual. great forum ...great people.
  9. When the factory powder coated those parts didn't they have a protecting finish on them. thx ...i love my gt500.
  10. I have a new gt500, i noticed on it this powdery stuff mainly on the aluminum components, i asked the dealer about it, the answer am getting from them is that it is a normal process, All aluminum parts would do that. I would like to know if any one else had a similar issue, or is it true for such a new car to have corrosion starting already. i know it could be harsh cleaner the dealer used to detail the car on delivery but they denied that. i never used any thing on the engine. the car is driven twice in the snow. Receipt Date: 10/5/2007 Serialize Date: 11/15/2007 Segment Date: 11/15/2007 Sequence Date: 11/29/2007 Blend Date: 11/30/2007 Produced Date: 12/10/2007 I tried to clean with microfiber cloth and water only but did not come out completely. Any help is greatly appreciated, i had posted it on team shelby and very few had similar issues but some with no prepping of the car at the dealer, they took delivery of her in plastic wraps. http://forum.teamshelby.com/forums/index.p...25098&st=20 thx.
